~Chicken Trails & Frame For Class On Sunday!~

Good morning my friends,

I wanted to share a little bit of chicken story this morning,
as I had been planning to but got busy.

As some of you know we expanded our chicken coop field
drastically in spring, we basically quadrupled the size, so they would
always have fresh grass to run around in and a bush.
Well something very fun and cute happened (well cute to me)
they created "Chicken Trails" LOL
Little trails through the grass to get to their bush for shade
and their little holes to keep cool.
Can you see the trails? There are about 15 of them and they all use them
They are all over the fenced areas.

Remember this little guys??? He has grown and he is a HANDSOME
Feller!! hehehe My husband loves him.
You know he is not mean either, he stands away from me
and stays away with not a speck of anger or meanness.
Good thing too or he would be our dinner! LOL
Anyways I just wanted to share the cute chicken trails with y'all,
I just love them and find them fascinating.
On to craftiness......

I had not had time to post this but this is the frame with sunflowers
we will be making on Sunday (this Sunday) at the Scrap Room!
The Scrap Room is the most amazing store, I have to tell you,
they totally appreciate every person who walks in the door.
They are so kind to their teachers and so personal!
If you have not been, our classes are always so fun and easy going.
Every time I teach a class it is a STRESS FREE fun experience!
Come by and say hello, I think there is room for ONE MORE! :)
The class is only 15.00! You will love it.

~Recovery & Happy Mail *Pub*~

Morning my blog land friends...

Today is recovery day, here is a picture I took of Bradley when
he came out of his procedure. He was pretty sick.

It went ok but he is very tired, bleeding alot and sick.
Apparently momma cant handle seeing her kids like this because
this pink haired momma was sick all day too, sympathy sickness??
Or maybe just plain good old stress??

The surgeon was great but the hospital was not so great.
My son was sick as a dog. (I knew he would be from Morphine)
and I kept telling them. They said "OH no, he won't be sick"...
well they go to wheel him downstairs for discharge.
No giving him time to sit up or anything, just took him from laying down
and being out of it to the wheelchair, and as we were going down
stairs he kept saying "I am sick, I am going to be so sick".
They just pushed him to the door and said "Sit on this bench then" and
walked away leaving him very ill and leaving us to help him
to find a bathroom to be sick in.

I had no idea how upsetting it would be to see my son in the hospital
and going under, then coming out so out of it.
Very draining day....

I did want to share my happy mail with y'all.
A Cricut Magazine Publication! :)
At your local Joanns...I don't know who else has them LOL

Anyways it was a fun project and I was excited to share.

Wish my boy some luck today with his sickness and bleeding.
I am keeping him home and hopefully we can both rest.
I feel very overwhelmed at the moment.
Thanks for popping by~

~Not Just Another Day Anymore~

Today I sit back and reflect on the events that happened 10 years ago.
My heart breaks for family and friends who lost loved ones, and
those who have sacrificed their lives on that day and in the
years to follow. Every single one of the.
Today I pray for peace for those victims.
I pray my children will never feel or see what we all saw that day.
I am thankful that my 2 youngest did not see that day happen
and their eyes stay innocent to that pain.

~Today I pray~

~Life Jumps In The Way Of Crafting!~

Good morning my friends!! :)

Once again life jumps in the way of creating.
If you had not heard on Thursday night I received a phone call.
Normally go to all my kids/hubby's baseball games but Thursday it was
a doubleheader that began at 8pm, and hubby was at work
working overtime very late, so I dropped off my 15 yr old and
took the younger boys home to get ready for school and finish homework.

Around 10pm I get a phone call from my hubby who was picking
him up from baseball on his way home....he said "Bradley broke his nose"
WHAT?? "It's bad, it's broke"....I told him to go to the ER, he told me it
was going to be ok and they were coming home.

This is what I saw if you add a hot red color and maybe
2 more inches of swelling.
He assured me he could breathe and we would be fine to take him
to our regular Dr. in the morning.

When we went to the Dr. our family physician was not in
and the fill in chastised me telling me I needed to go to the ER,
and she was sending me there right away.

She gave me that "Your a bad mom how could you" speech and look
I just love those from people who have NO KIDS! *sigh*
Until you have kids...MORE than 1 you cannot judge a mom of 3 ok?? LOL
I am sorry but it's a hard call with any injury on a boy who
says he has barely any pain and is fine.

Anyways, I headed to the Imaging Center after talking to my
friend at the front desk and sure enough it is broken, and pretty
bad break. BUT they can do NOTHING for at least 3 days
due to the swelling. (See Miss Fill In Doc? It wouldn't have mattered)
Anyways we are going to schedule a real live surgery,
the very first one for any of my sweet boys.

I knew it was coming sooner or later...I was hoping to make it past
the first one, but no such luck. I guess if I had to choose a broken
body part, a finger or nose would be my choice.

I NEVER miss deadlines or crafting work, but I might be scarce
this week while we figure out what needs to happen.
Hey I am getting pretty good at staying rational and calm
in these situations....between 1 broken hand last year, a sprained hand,
and a broken nose this year...well I might be a pro by the time
Gage is 18! haha

Oh and if you wondered...yes Bradley knows I am blogging his mug
he is not thrilled but he knows that's how I roll! LOL
Have a wonderful weekend...thanks for sharing my day.

~Sports Pages Made Easy~

Quick post today, this week has been not so great
and is progressively getting worse it seems.

Thankfully my friend is out of the hospital and on the upswing. ♡♡♡
I wanted to share a layout I created using Momenta!
I am always wanting to make QUICK and EASY sports pages because
let's be honest I have like 500 zillion photos of baseball
with 3 boys playing and a camera happy mom LOL
I love how all my pages will match and the embellishments are so easy
with the Momenta papers. I actually ordered a 10 pack!
I plan on using the same paper for one album and then another for
the next album. Just keep it fun and easy with the focus being the photos.
Thanks Momenta!!!!!On October 1st Momenta will be hosting a blog
hops with amazing prizes so be sure to check back!!! :)

~Thursday? Already?~

Good morning my friends.

Such an interesting week I have had, full of stress and well stress LOL
My friend Adrienne had her surgery yesterday, thank goodness it went
well and she will be leaving the hospital today.

I was so worried, I hate seeing people in pain and it's even worse
when it is my friends in pain.
Today is my gf Adrienne's birthday to boot, and my gf Lesley.
Happy Birthday ladies! I adore both of you!!!!

I wanted to share this layout, to be honest I was not feeling it
when I created it. I loved the gears and started embossing them
and inking them, then I decided to heat them and mold them too.
But in the end I was not really happy with it all.
BUT I sent it in for CHA, and it just got back to me last week...
when I pulled it out of the box my boys went crazy!
They LOVED IT! hahaha
So in the end I am letting them hang it in their room.
Hey I might not always love my work but someone does!

I used those cool new embellishments from Clear Scraps.
Ok I am off to tend to the boys and my friend...and get offline! :)
Have a wonderful day, I am hoping to be back into full swing tomorrow!

~It's That Time Again! New Banner Time!!~

Good morning my friends,
It's that time once again, I was feeling very itchy to create a new banner
for the last couple weeks and this weekend just pushed me over the edge!

Getting back to my vintage roots and playing with paper.
I used a Clear Scraps Acrylic background, with the
Tally Scrapper September Kit for all the paper and embellies.
I used my McGill punches to create these roses and used the
Jenni Bowlin Paint Dabber from the Tally September Kit to paint
a BUNCH of the banner...I am really excited!
I guess I need to change my buttons and blog colors too!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
THANK YOU for coming by, I love my blog friends~
Through all the physical issues I struggle with, and all the
dramma in the craft world, you ALL keep me moving and creating.
THANK YOU! :)

~Creating Realistic Geraniums W/ Paper~

Good morning my friends,
I had amazing messages this weekend from my crafty friends,
and I wanted to thank you all!

I was able to sit down for a few minutes with the new Tally Scrapper
September Kit, and my McGill punches to create this "Vintage Floral Card".
I am so in love with the vintage kit from Tally and it was perfect
for these flowers. It was my first attempt at making Geraniums,
what do you think? They were not as hard as I imagined
but I did hand paint each petal! LOL
In the end I am very pleased and it was a labor of love for friend.
It felt good to sit down and create once again!~
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

~The New Hobbs ZOO~

It's official, I am running a zoo! hehe

I had t drop in right quick and share our newest family members,
this is Allie, she is a sweet old bird at 10 years old. Her
owner got married and his wife does not like her, so we adopted her.
And this is "Cricket" for now (we have to figure out a name)
The school forced our children to fall in love with this stinky thing LOL
And BEG us to bring one home, so we did. He is FEISTY like me! haha
I think it's official, 20 chickens, 1 dog, 1 bird, 1 crab, 3 boys...it's a ZOO!
We are very excited and have plenty of room in our hearts for all these
babies, even the stinky old crab! LOL

It's too cute my hubby always wanted birds and he is the most tickled
out of all of us. I think we might be looking at getting 2 blue parakeets next.
Happy Labor Day weekend my friends♡♡♡♡♡

Oh No She Didn't...A TWO Page Layout??! :)

Good morning!!!!
First of all I cannot believe how incredibly hard it is to photograph
a 2 page layout, and secondly....I have not made a 2 pager since...
well...I cannot even remember! LOL

The photography alone makes me want to never do it again!
I made this layout for a submission call and obviously it was not chosen.
So I thought I would share it with y'all today :)
It's the very girly Enchanted line from Imaginisce.
I snapped these shots at the ball field my friend has beautiful daughters.
I asked her if I could use the pictures, she was really nice about it.
I will have to work on my photography of the 2 pagers before I attempt
creating another one. :)
Have a wonderful Thursday.....we were out late with a ball game
last night and today I am headed to the store for CRAB food, and
softballs for tonight's game. YIPPEE! LOL
