but it ended up being very emotional for some reason.
Crafting has brought such enrichment to my life.
It has brought me out of my shell and allowed me to be as brave and
bold as I needed to be to pursue happiness in a whole new way.
I have met the MOST amazing people of my life while
crafting and encouraging craftiness as a whole.
One of those amazing events happened around Christmas
when a bunch of my amazing crafty friends all got together
to buy a special gift for a dear friend.
It was not my crafty friends who surprised me as much as my husband!
Who not only stood up and said "Let's do this how can I help" but alsowhen I told him I needed to drive to Alabama to deliver this gift
in time for Christmas Day, he stood up again and said "Let's GO!"
I don't know why it surprised me, he knows I have a soft heart and healways stands beside me helping with a smile...but for some reason it really
validated to me that he finds my crafting a treasure and not a nuisance in
any way shape or form...so instead of scrapping the pictures of my gf, I decided
to make a layout in homage to him and his support.
I am rambling today sorry :)

Journaling strips:
I am always amazed by the incredible generosity and kind hearted
crafters I have met online and in person.
This year is no different, and the biggest blessing is hubby who always
jumps up to help me even if it means driving to Alabama before Christmas.
Journaling:
Such a blessing to meet amazing people who share my passion for crafting
and love for others. I am so blessed to have been a part of this special gift.
I will never forget those beautiful hearts, all for you Aymee.
Came but for friendship, and took away love.
Happy Monday my friends, I hope you find your passion in crafting
because when you find that love and passion, you will never let it go!

of this little town, trying to familiarize ourselves with the area.
Since my husband and I both grew up in Oregon, and have
always known all the roads and places, this has been a great
new adventure for us!
Saturday we found a road that was covered in water and seemed
to be a dead end for us but we could see that on the other side was another road.
We went home and Sunday before football we decided to go
hunting for the rest of the road and this is what we found!
Of course I made hubby go back home and get my camera!I could not miss this opportunity!
While I was shooting we must have seen 5 cars pull in and out to seeI have a feeling that in these small Tennessee towns, the word gets out
right quick! LOL I have no clue why someone would
even try to cross this road when there are signs everywhere, but the
Sheriff came out because we had to sneak over some tape to get in for photos!
Anyways, that was my crazy weekend...that and making chiliand eating ice cream LOL How was your weekend??
~Have a great day I am off to plan a Valentine's Day party!~

4 comments Posted by Pinky at Sunday, February 07, 2010I hope you all aren't too snowed in...
It's cold but no snow here just yet and none forecasted *phew*
This is my last reveal for Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
February Kit (Passion)
This is the FIRST LO I made with it,
I loved the deep rich colors, as you can see I made such different layouts
I could NOT scrap passion and not include my 3 beautiful boys...
for me they completely represent passion in my life.
If you can see it, I used my Fiskars pinking shears on the paper
behind the shaped paper. I think it added some flair.

How is your week going?
I FINALLY finished my big project yesterday, I had a heck
of a time with it too. I was wanting to dismantle a frame and
write or etch on the glass, but I don't have a cricut or anything
to etch or make big letters, so I came up with this!
When I have a couple minutes I will be sharing a tutorial on howto make this very look on glass!
It was SO easy I don't know why I did not think of it earlier!
The heart is a simple foam heart from Michael's Craft storewith glass pebbles in the middle of each Lace Flower (from my earlier tutorial)
and plenty of tulle. Oh and of course a big old dose of Helmar glue!
I used the 450 Quick Dry for the lace flowers
and the Professional Acid Free Glue for the outside of the pebbles and the glitter.
The glitter I used is the AWESOME glitter from ClearSnaps!Hello...if you have not tried ClearSnaps products, they are rocking my world lately!
Between the SMOOCH SPRITZ and the FINE GLITTER
I am in glitzy heaven!
That awesome scroll with the vine?? That is also Clearsnaps...
its called a DESIGN ADHESIVE!
OH lorday...makes this pink one swoon!, You can add flocking, glitter
whatever you want!
OK I promise to get the glass tutorial to you tomorrow or Sunday.I am off to the school to volunteer today so no more time for chit chat!
Remember this is the LAST day to enter to win the
Purple Cows Mouse Cutting System RAK, so head back and check in :)

~Passion 4 Paper, what are you passionate about?~
9 comments Posted by Pinky at Thursday, February 04, 2010Today I reflect on my passion 4 paper...
I realize I alienate some people with my honest and real
pages, but no one can deny I have passion! TRUE passion for paper!
Since I scrap pretty much everything, I decided to scrap my passion
for scrapbooking and I printed up 6 of my most passionate
layouts and used them on my newest creation.
I always keep my pages in the appropriate forum.I never place a layout with a swear word on a faith forum, or gallery
I always keep the real and dirty layouts in the appropriate places.
I try to be considerate of others...but even if it costs me a little
I cant stop scrapping my life the way it is and the way I see it :)
This is my passion and passion has a cost I suppose.~Have a beautiful Thursday~

and inspiring the February kit was for me??
Well, here is one more page!
I chose to go photoless for this one and make a collagesort of tribute to hubby's and my relationship.

This is just one of the layouts I created with it,
I will be revealing all week :)
How beautiful is this paper and the embellies totally made me drool.
I made the lace flower myself and the ribbon floweris from the kit ribbon! :)

filled with family and snow!
I could not tear myself away from my camera, and baking
in the kitchen, also countless trips to the stove to make Hot Chocolate!
I am the first one to admit I am like a child when it comes to snow.
I look forward to it every year and pray right along side of the children.
This time was extra special because it was a weekend
even daddy got in on the fun, plus the beautiful, incredible ice we had.
Honestly it's like God's diamonds all over the land. I love it!
Little Miss Daffodil did not miss one second in the snow with our family. She stuck to the boys like glue all day and night!
I know this picture is awful, but the sleet was so heavy...if you look close you know why I posted it...that HUGE grin from the baby
in the family says it all...
I wish I could capture the breathtaking beauty of the ice shimmering on the treesI was memorized...I would love to have taken pictures all day!
Even daddy got in on the fun with his floppy pink hat!(remember he requested I make it on Halloween?? he still wears it :))
We live on the end of a country road and the boys loved running up anddown sledding on it...they all held hands too keep the sleds together, it was
one of those precious moments a mother remembers forever.
So that's my snowy story and I am sticking to it!
Thank you for sharing a piece of my life this weekend,
I will be back to crafting tomorrow, until then
~Have a BEAUTIFUL blessed day~

Everyone asks me what adhesive I use and honestly
this is the glue I use, I just LOVE IT!
So I had fun sharing with my quirky videos.
http://helmarusa.typepad.com/blog/2010/01/guest-bloggerpinky-is-back.html
here is the blog :)
I'd love it if a few friends stopped by to let them know
that I am spreading the word.
I thought I would list 5 things I live today
because Valentine's Day is coming up and my anniversary
is coming up right quick.
#1
Beautiful weather, it always has been a fascination
and it always will be, this is the night before the big snow.

#2My children's curiosity.
This might look like a silly bowl in the snow to some but to me
it was so cute.
My youngest wanted to "Catch" snow for "snow cones" hehe
So we set bowls out and filled them with snow for snow cones.
#3You think I am going to say Coach! LOL but really I am going to say
my husband who every once in a while indulges me with a pretty
purse as a gift and is very talented at picking them out himself.
This was my anniversary gift a few days early.
#4Friends! Whether they be online or in person, they all
help keep me on the right path!
Especially the ones I have known for a long time...
Let's see...Aymee, Kelly, Denise, Eva, Liz, Shelly, Janelle, Melissa,
Dolores, LJ, Patti, Nicole, Kristina, Tina, Vicki, Sarah, just to name a FEW
and new friends who rock!!
Adrienne, Tracy, Karen, Karen, V, Tanisha, Sarah, Julie, and many more!
I am so blessed and I know I did not post all the names...How could I?
If you are my friend, I thank you for sticking by me.
You have to be a strong woman to be my friend and you are awesome!

#5
This back scratcher is my new best friend! LOL
I love it and it is great for dry skin and short arms!
I think I will be doing a list every week...just because I amso very thankful and its a great reminder of the little things in our
every day lives.
OHHH and I almost forgot!!!
I am going to post a challenge tomorrow!!!!!
FOR A PRIZE!!!! So stay tuned! We are celebrating 300 followers!
I have not forgotten, just got busy with this school stuff and the snow...

~Happy Friday....Paper pleating/ruffling made easy **Video Tutorial**~
23 comments Posted by Pinky at Friday, January 29, 2010We waited all night and all morning but finally at 11am it began.
It is snowing and looks like it won't be stopping, in fact
they are sending hubby home early today!
I always get questions about paper pleating and making ruffles
with ribbon or paper on my layouts.
So I took time this morning to make a video tutorial on it!
Hope it makes it a little easier for you to do too!
I seem to use this technique almost daily!
It's so fun to use spritz or spray on the paper before ruffling as well,
it almost makes it look like fabric :)
OK I am off to bake today and play with the boys since they are not in school
for the crazy snow we are expecting! I love snow days :)
Have a great Friday!

~I am still hoping for a good strong snow!
10 comments Posted by Pinky at Thursday, January 28, 2010Good morning all you lovely crafters!
I made this layout yesterday, I had a hard time finishing it
because I have done so many snow layouts lately
I am running out of snow embellishments!
So I improvised and used stickles as dots to sort of represent snow
and covered the title with snowy white stickles....
I am really into lace lately, so I went down and bought like 20 yardsbecause my stash is very low. I am going to go
on a thrift store hunt if it's not too bad this weekend.
Also I will be working on a lace/ribbon/paper pleating tutorial.
Lots of fun stuff coming up in the next couple days!A special surprise, my DT reveals for SFTIO,
a Brand NEW Sketch Challenge from Imaginisce with a PRIZE!
Be sure to stay tuned
Thank YOU for stopping by.
Every comment I received makes me smile,
I do read them all and I check out your blogs between running around
with the boys and crafting and sewing.
You all are so amazing and talented!

I am so blessed....
I was not able to attend CHA California this year, but several of
my buddies are there having a blast!
I told them all where to look for my projects and they all know who I DT for.
Last night I received this email from Nancy Doren
She is on the DT with me for SFTIO!
I love that she caught the note inside from my son on camera! :)
and in her hot little hands!! I need to scrap this!
I think between her pink hair and mine...well we might have a fetish!
I am really blessed to have friends who are willing to take the time to stop
and send pictures that they know are special to me!
I know Purple Cows rocked CHA because everyone
told me they were so nice and treated them like royalty
when they stopped at the booth.
OK thanks for sharing with me and all "my first projects in CHA" excitement!
Have a great Wednesday, I am off to have lunch with a new friend
VERY excited! I have known her for about 3 or 4 years now
and she just moved to TN!
Oh and one of my blog friends followed the "Lace Flower tutorial"
and sent me a note sharing hers!
They rock! Go check her out!
