Good morning my friends,
I missed yesterday because I have a HOUSE FULL of sick
little men, fevers and all. BUT in the middle of the chaos this arrived! :)
My new Hello Kitty wallet with pretty red stitching and all.
I had to share real quick.

It's a cute denim spring treat.
And even though we don't really do alot for Valentine's Day,
hubs did come home with a sweet sweet card and 2 boxes of candy.

Hey you have to count the blessings on sick weeks LOL
Ok I have this project to share today....it's from my work with
Buttons Galore & More...I woud LOVE for you to comment on their blog.

This would make the perfect wedding gift addition.

There is a full tutorial on the Buttons Galore & More blog,

Now back to my sick boys, and hopefully finishing a class.

Good morning my friends,
This has been a very long month so far.
First the surgery for my son now a Sympathy Card for a friend.

I knew what I wanted to use. I remembered these soft beautiful
cards from Kanban and decided to later them up with some soft ribbon.

Don't you love how amazing these Kanban products look on a card?

Wouldn't you know I sent the meal over last night and forgot to sent the card!!
Oh and by the way, I made a crock pot potato soup Monday, if you want the
recipe I put it on my facebook page in my notes!
I was a baking fool Monday, I baked fresh bread and made a crock
pot of soup. Now I did not get my carrot cake done
because my shredder disappeared, but I hope to grab one today!
Have a beautiful Hump Day my friends~

Good morning my friends and Happy Valentine's Day! :)
I was able to sit down and really play last night,
I have a few projects due and I thought I better shove the kids
sick and all into the room with video games and play with paper!
This is a layout I created with the Boy's Life Scraptastic Club Feb Kit.

I love the papers in this kit, so perfect for me! :)
I used a photo of my gf's adorable son. He is our catcher this year
and I found this photo and knew it was perfect.

I don't know what is going on with me and this kit this month
but the first page I ruined with spritz, the second card I spilled paint
and this layout...I ran out of INK! LOL So I carefully covered the half
printed photo with the fun stickers....so is it terribly bad?? LOL

You can see it but not too bad, so I am just going to go with it!!
I have another project to make, wish me luck LOL
It's been a crazy month for flubs....Oh did I mention hubs found
stickles stuck to his favorite shirt? It won't come off LOL He is not happy.
Happy Valentine's Day my friends! LOVE YA!

Good Monday morning and welcome to the Momenta/Twinery Blog HOP!

You know sometimes it's the small touches that really make a project pop and catches your eye. For this wall hanging I think the Twinery twine does just that!

Not only does the bow really draw attention to the word Family, but the
Buttercream twine as the butterfly trail just adds that special touch.

I loved mixing the colors, you know I found a color for every piece of paper in the Pyramid Pad, I loved using the Clear Scraps acrylic base. Perfect combo.

I love using twine and Momenta, so this was a super fun post! :)
Oh and of course this fun card I made!!

Using Twinery Twine, Momenta Paper, Spellbinders Die,
Clear Scraps acrylic accents, and Martha Stewart Punch! :)
Oh and Pink By Design Stamp!!
Ok the next stop on the blog hop is...
Now remember you could win this Twinery Package

Oh and here is the Momenta prize too!

Good morning my friends,
I have a card to share today and news about a blog hop tomorrow
that will have a special TWINERY prize! :)
First of all we have had a crazy week and a friend ended up in
the hospital, so I made this card for her.

Isn't it pretty? I just adore the Kanban cards...I love how easy
and how beautiful they are.

I just layered the pieces and added a smidge of vintage lace.
I an continually in love with Kanban!
Ok secondly you MUST stop by tomorrow because there will
be a special Twinery/Momenta blog hop and one of the
stops happens to be right here! You could win, so stop by!

Last but certainly not least, the last few months have been full of family
happenings from broken noses, to surgeries, family visits.
It has been non-stop since November.
Hopefully now that our last surgery is over things will slow down.
My boy came out of surgery Thursday with a smile.
Vanderbilt Children's Hospital is simply amazing.
He is up and walking again and happy as a clam, and oddly enough
no pain whatsoever, I attribute that to all the prayers.
Thank you each and every friend who sent me a note or
an encouraging word. I truly am blessed and needed them.
Now off to teach a class today, it has been a non stop
weekend so far and looks to be that way until next weekend LOL
Happy Sunday my friends.

Good morning my friends,
I had a call from my gf last week who asked me if I could make
a frame with a name in it for a baby's room. It needed to match this
Lion King bedding set.

No pressure there right?? LOL Anyways I dove in because I
remembered this great brown Momenta paper.
You see in the set that it's not black like the usual leopard print
it is all brown, so it matched perfectly!

Since the room was so ornate and I could not match the Lion King
I decided to keep it very monotone and simple.

I painted it, then added layers of Momenta papers.
I cut the leaves and name with my die cutting machine, then
added ribbon around the edges. I actually love the end result!

It is soft and has a nice baby feel.
I hope she will love it!

Thanks to my friend Bettye who gave me a coupon in Hobby Lobby,
this project came in at around 10.00, not too bad! :)
Ok off to tend to my boy today....Have a wonderful Friday my friends.
Thursday, February 9, 2012
Good morning my friends,
Today is the big day, we are headed in with the little man
for his minor surgery. Minor but always scary to be put under.
Anyways I took the time this week to make him a card.
I wanted him to know it would be ok and I loved him.
I used the Scraptastic Club Feb. Kit (A Boy's Life) for the card.

I am so happy I chose the boy kit! It has come in so handy! LOL
I painted the edges of the card and the I Adore You sticker.

I just love these stickers and I know my little man will love this card
when he wakes up! :) Ok we are off to the Children's Hospital.
Have a wonderful day~

~Welcome to the Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop~
Today I have a project to share with Valentine's Day in mind,
for all those crafty girlyfriends. A vintage style candy jar
with a pin cushion topper. It is fantastic for buttons later on!

I wish I had a jar full of candy hearts to put inside, but a store run
was not in my day yesterday. hehe

Ok so I am going to give you the bare bones, (not a quilter) version
of a how-to. Using every day supplies. You just need a jelly jar,
a lid, ring, cardboard, cotton balls, sewing machine, & fabric.

I used the Samantha Walker Wanna Be A Cowboy fabric in PINK (of course)
did you know SW makes several amazing fabrics? Well she does
that's why I used this. :) Anyways you need just about a half fat quarter
in all, not much really. You will want to make a ribbon with the fabric, and make
it about 20" long, and a ruffle as well about 12" long.
Don't worry about getting the stitches perfect,
it's that cute hand made feel you are going for.

Just cut the cardboard slightly smaller than the lid. Make sure it's not the
same size. I made my first one the same size and it would not fit in the ring.
**shhh** don't tell anyone LOL I totally freestyle like 99% of my crafts
and it usually bites me in the butt half the time LOL

Now you can totally be a pro and use batting, but I did not have any
and babysat a friend the day I made this so I used cotton balls instead
and to be honest they work perfectly fine. The less dense balls are better.
Just hot glue a bunch of cotton balls onto the cardboard only.
Really pack them on well.

Then cut the fabric into a circle a few inches larger then the cardboard
circle. (don't worry you can trim later) Carefully and SNUGGLY glue
the fabric over the top, really stretching and securing, gluing underneath.

Then adhere the fabric piece in the ring to make sure it fits! LOL
I had to trial run this twice....if you glue it in the ring first then it
ensures a nice fit. THEN you can glue it to the lid when you tuck the lid
up into the ring. The lid and ring should be one piece, so when you
twist it off later it all stays together.

After you finish the pin cushion, just add your ruffle and ribbon.
Fill jar with candy or buttons and give with a smile! :)

I hope you enjoyed my project today and here I have one more quick
project for those digital scrapping friends I have *wink*
My sweet boys sleeping.....

being me, I am a couple months behind always LOL
I used the Kokeshi Paper Pack lines that can be found here

I have such amazing friends to help me out?!! :)

I am very excited about having my name up and everything, it was too fun!

I loved just creating for CHA, and knowing it was all there.
I had to share with y'all because it was so exciting.
