~Nothing Fun Just Sad~

Good morning my friends!

I have nothing fun to share today, I apologize but my family
life has taken over for the day. I will be making videos and such today
but for right now it's just my REAL LIFE seeping into my blog.
You know I have to throw in the nuggets of life every once in a while!

We spent the weekend full of baseball and all the usual family stuff,
BUT Sunday night my son removed his shirt and this is what I saw
My son who is VERY GENTILE, I mean VERY. He is a gentle giant
and would not hurt a fly. Someone had been bruising him since the
first day of school. Needless to say I was shocked and very upset,
I drove to the baseball field where hubby was practicing and I began
bawling in hysterics showing him his arms that were covered in bruises.

I went home and calmed down, and first thing yesterday morning
I was at the school at 7:15am speaking with the principal.
They immediately took action. Asking my son when, where etc...

He had been poked all 5 days of school by a schoolmate who was
sitting beside him, he poked him so hard with a pencil and so many times
that both arms were covered in deep dark bruises.
It went on for 5 full days.

After the meeting my son was so shaken I had to take him home.
The principal asked him if he did anything in retaliation and my son
said "No I just asked him to stop and he kept doing it"

So he took it for 5 days before I saw the bruises. I felt awful.
I still feel awful. My son did not want to get in trouble, or
get his "friend" in trouble.

Come to find out this boy was not being mean but he KNEW it was
totally wrong and he knew he was hurting Justice but he was just "playing".
I don't believe it was malicious, but it was 100% wrong and mean
nonetheless, I mean the proof is on my son's arms.

It really took me back to my ex husband who used to "play" and
laugh by throwing ice cubes at my head and leaving bruises all
over my face/neck and kept telling me he was just "playing".

I have to say I struggled to keep composed.

After I got home the school called and told me she was shocked
that this happened because the student was a good kid.
They took care of it and his parents were very apologetic.

I spent the day with my son, he slept alot and stayed pretty quiet.

In the evening we went to the school orientation and the parents
(separated) came to apologize, the dad said
"I am sorry but boys will be boys, he didn't mean nothing by it".

But the mom came over separately and was very kind and
apologized again and again. They had their child go to my son and
tell him he would never do it again. The teacher also moved
him across the room so they won't be sitting together again.

We chatted with his teacher and she said my son is very quiet and
a very good boy and she was proud he did not lose his temper.
I explained it was a good lesson for all of us, that he now knows
to tell the teacher before it gets this bad.

I am very proud of my son for being so gentle, and frankly I am proud
of myself for not losing control and being able to deal with this in an
appropriate manner. Given my history of abuse I really feel like
I have come so far and this is a sign of being well and healed.

Enjoy your Tuesday, I know I will....Much love to ya,

~Summer ice Cream Fun~

Good morning my friends,

I did get a small window to create this weekend,
and what I played with was McGill punches and Momenta paper!
I made this cute little ice cream cone card.
I wanted to sit down and play more but got busy with the fam~
Well worth it though!! :) Now today I will have a chance to play
while the kids are at school.
I used the Let's Party Pyramid Pad from Momenta for the card/cones,
assembly and Glue Arts Raise'Ns for the dimension!

Don't forget about the CRICUT MACHINE GIVEAWAY I have going
on in August for my blog friends!!
Happy Monday!!!

~Making "See Through" Cards~

Good morning from TN!

I have had some fun lately making "See Through" cards,
using Clear Scraps and Momenta!

For this card I took a frame from the Momenta Simply Perfect Page Kit
and a piece of Clear Scraps acrylic.
I glued the frame to the acrylic, then added embellishments.
After that I took a sheet of polka dot paper from the kit, white card stock
I trimmed both down to the size of the frame, then I glued them together.
I scored the polka dot paper 1" down, then adhering it to the frame.
Easy right? And too cute for summer!!
I think I might have a video coming up for this too!

~Pool Days & What Surveys Getcha~

Good morning,
Happy Saturday!
I had a fun day with my gf Adrienne yesterday, we had
lunch and chilled in the pool. Actually we laughed in the pool
because all year we had these great blow up chairs...
BUT the boys kept popping them repeatedly, sooooo hubby decided
to get me a "special" more expensive chair and he bought 2 one for me and one
for Adrienne....but the problem is...we could NOT stay on them LOL
It was a falling into the pool fest, and you know I hate getting my hair wet!
So...these chair SUCK LOL Neither A or I are coordinated enough
to stay afloat on them and I need to go find my cheap floaty
chair and hide them from the kids! LOL

anyways....on to fun mail time....

I will be the first to admit when I see a survey, I usually just
drone through it and don't give it a second thought...

MONTHS ago...maybe even a year ago I took a survey
and look what happened?? LOL
To be honest I don't even remember doing it but it was
a fun surprise in the mail yesterday!
I know many Fiskateers get these but it was fun to get one of my own.
Happy Saturday everyone! Thanks for popping by and sharing a slice
of my life...I love ya~

~Momenta Card-stock & McGill Punches!~

Good morning!!!!
I am in a mess today because the boys all head back to school
full time, but before I get in a tizzy I wanted to post this card
I made this weekend using Momenta Card Stock and McGill Punches.

I will be the first to admit I had never tried Momenta Card Stock but
can I just say it ROCKS!!!! I love it.
I used it to make the sunflowers, along with the
McGill Paper Blossoms Punches. You might notice I changed
the original design...well I did because I like the green petals
behind the sunflower, to me it looks more realistic.

It was more work but totally worth it (in my humble opinion).
Ok I am off to create some new flower designs, and get these boys
off to school!! Have a wonderful Monday!

~Stealing Friend's Babies For Scrapbooking!~ haha

Good morning!!!

I am so happy because yesterday it stormed almost all day!!!
It really cooled it down for a second which was perfectly lovely...
I went crazy sewing some dress orders
and a project for Wednesday's Blog Hop.

When I saw this paper from Momenta I fell in love...I know I wanted to
scrap a girly layout but I was sick of scrapbooking myself this week,
so I stole some snapshots at the ball park last week and told my friend
Hayley I was going to use her lovely daughter on my work this week.
Thankfully no one really minds and it was ok :)
EVERYTHING on this page is Momenta, even the title,
I just used Viva Decor Pens to change the color and add pearls.
I wanted to keep it very girly and light, perfect for those big blue eyes.
Now I have bad photos (because it was late at night when I finished)
But here are a couple outfits I made yesterday...
(please don't mind the horrible shots)

I have not sewn for business in a while and it was fun doing it again,
I am much more relaxed about it this time, just buying fabric I find
and only making from that. Before I would hunt and shop for
customers and it was so stressful with a wheelchair. Very nice now
to post the fabric and ask who wants it and just make it! :)

Ok I am off to a shindig today....very excited about a B-day party!
Have a great weekend!

Good morning my friends,

I am always crafting something and this week is no different.
This month I made a guest design spot for Frosted Designs
Frosted Designs

and this acrylic pin is what I made.
I used Clear Scraps acrylic & Stazon Ink, along with the
Imaginisce Badge/pin Combo.
I had fun and love how it turned out.
That Fuschia Pink Stazon is the best purchase I have
made in a long time!!!

Hope you enjoy!
I am off to photograph a special Christmas project
I just made with my Cricut Imagine....wish me luck!

~Just One More Layout & Project Coming Soon!~

Good morning my friends!!!

I woke up yesterday morning to the email that the special prize
(a Cricut) I ordered to giveaway on my blog has shipped!
Very excited about that!!

I have one last layout to share from the Becky Fleck Pagemaps for August.
Can you find my error?? hehehe

I have to laugh because I took this so seriously and was so careful about it
and after I sent the photos in I saw a stud fell off...one lonely stud.
I really just had to laugh at that point and hope no one noticed until
I BLOGGED ABOUT IT! hahahaha

I love the candid photo of the boys working on the new tiller
and I had been dying to scrap it.
Thanks Imaginisce & Becky Fleck for giving me this fun opportunity!!

This is an upcoming video tutorial and project I made, stay tuned. :)
That's it for me today, I have the boys all set for school and today
I am going to stay inside and relax a little! :)

Happy Thursday everyone.

~Special Fruity Day~

Good morning!!!

I am probably headed to take my boys to the first day of school this morning,
but before I leave I wanted to share this fun project.
It is a SPECIAL project too!

You might have just spied this layout on PAGEMAPS!
Becky Fleck is featuring the Imaginisce girls this month on Pagemaps and
I was one of the lucky ducks who got to participate.
I wanted to share the details of this layout because I NEVER use sketches but
I can honestly say I just relaxed and did it. It was fun~
Of course I used the "Berrylicious" line from Imaginisce, and it
went perfectly with my "New Do".

Also I wanted to let you all know I ordered a special prize I will be giving away
sometime in August...a Brand NEW Cricut! :) So stay tuned!!~

OK wish me luck and have a great Hump Day!!!

~Fun With Acrylic & Sunflowers~

Good morning my friends!!

I had fun yesterday in this heat wave, I just sat down in my AC house
and played with my Clear Scraps acrylic and punches.
My gf grows flowers for the local fair contests, and I made this magnetic frame for
her fridge. Now she can showcase her flower photos when she wins! :)
I used the McGill punches to create the sunflower and the Momenta Paper
for the frame, Core'dinations paper for the flower
then the Clear Scraps acrylic for the clear insert.
I hope she likes it, I had so much fun making it!

I am off to pack orders for Tally Scrapper, we had several that ordered the
August kit yesterday but I had baseball so I did not get them all packed up.
It's going to be a long day in the house, I don't dare venture out in this heat!
~Happy Tuesday y'all, stay cool and have a great day~

~Happy Monday!~

Good morning!!!! Can you believe it is the 1st already???!!

Today the Tally Scrapper August Kit I designed comes out!!
It's called Beautiful Soul.

Also there is a fun contest/challenge on Tally called Project Tally Runway
which is why I created this layout....

The challenges are all based on the Project Runway challenges.
How fun is that??! Oh I love it!
I had to create an entire layout using white paper, just like the Project Runway
people had to use a white sheet.
So I spritzed, and played with my Viva Decor Pearl Pens from Tally.
All those silver pearls are made with the Viva Decor pens.
All the flowers I created with my Cricut Imagine I printed them
on white card stock. It is simple, sleek and fun. I just wanted to play
and not get to serious :).

Yesterday we began baseball Fall Ball for the kids...
so I will be back in the trenches. Wednesday we begin school again.
I swear it has been a crazy summer!
Happy Monday everyone!
Send your friends to check out the kit I designed please!!
