~Weekend Break & Update....Am I really a mom of a teenager??!~

Good morning everyone!

This weekend has been so busy, my teenage son had his
very FIRST high school dance and "date"...ok he is not allowed to
date until he is 16 so it was not a "date" but let's face it, he wrangled
mom into letting him go on a date LOL
Am I really a mother of a teenager almost ready to date??
Oh goodness shoot me now!
Here he is in his uniform and below with his date.
She was a lovely girl.
I think she was super excited, she even had her hair done!
Can I just say this is why I am so thankful to only have boys??!!
No hair, makeup, or dresses....just a taxi driver and maybe once in
a while a suit...oh and buying the tickets LOL

Anyways...I did create this weekend but it will all be up next week.
For this weekend I just wanted to savor and enjoy the family time
and try not to pass out and hyperventilate on this big moment!!

~Happy Sunday, have a wonderful day~
~Thanks for sharing in my crafty times and my real life♥~

Oh gosh, I remember those moments!! Been there once before with my oldest daughter (now almost 23!). Heading there again, as my middle child will be 13 in 2 mo. I told her, just as we told the oldest no dating till she is 30!! LOL Hubby teases the girls that when the boys come over, he will be cleaning his hunting rifles, just so they know not to mess with his girls. And well, my youngest just turned 4. I have awhile before he will be going to dances.

How lovely! Reminds me of when I went to the Military Ball at my school. I hope he at least had a better time than I did! The power went out in the building and we had to call our parents to come and pick us up!

What a handsome young man and he looks wonderful in uniform. They both look super excited to go to the dance. Just wait until he starts to drive, here in Alberta they can get their learners at 14! I tell you I have more white hairs show up just thinking about it. My DS will be 14 this year that means 2 teenage drivers!!

Your son is very handsome. Be ready to fasten that seatbelt for a bumpy ride. Dating...I'm still reeling from it and my son is 21! I'm thinking I'll be glad when he's married and we aren't going thru the ups and downs of "love" and break-ups.
