~Scrapping with vintage lace & acrylic~

Good morning!!!!
It's a beautiful and very cold day today. I love it,
I am so ready for snow....hopefully it will soon then I will
feel ready for Christmas.

This week we are slowly but surely decorating and I am
feeling the holiday spirit for sure ♥

I love mixing old and new scrap products like
acrylic and vintage lace...I think it adds such a lovely
touch and it reminds me of my grandmother and history.

I made this layout at Tally Scrappers for a contest to win chocolate LOL

For the base I used a 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic page then I cut
out the Hambly Doily Overlay and placed it on the acrylic, then covered it in lace.
I also love adding Platinum Paint to my layouts when I
do vintage looking pages. I used the Folk Art Metallic Taupe
paint because it looks just like Platinum.
I also spritzed the journaling spots with Spun Sugar Smooch
for a more aged vintage look with shimmer.♥
I love the new Extreme Tac adhesive from Glue Arts for the acrylic too
it stays on, it does NOT yellow and crack like the glues I have used
and it sticks really hard which is what I need, I like my pages to last!
I wish I could have captured all the detail on this layout.
I used almost a whole box of flowers from Imaginisce, I love
how they layered and the tulle flowers in the box.
I also used the i-rock and the swirls template that is so hard to find.
♥Ohh La La♥

The double lace was from my friend Gloria,
I have such amazing supportive friends including my online buddies
I am so very blessed to have so many friends who are so wonderful.

Ok I am off to bake the day away, we have
a party coming up on Saturday so I need to get it done!
The list is...
Caramel Corn (3 batches!) ♥
Cookies
Fudge
Brownies
Jell-o shots

I better get busy!!!
Happy Thursday everyone
~Have a beautiful day~

Wow! We are on the same train of thought today! I just posted a comment on another blog, wishing for snow and I just made a birthday card today revolving around the word "Grace". Great minds think alike! :0) Love the layout.

Oh my! I love your LO! I hope this one is headed for a shadowbox frame since it is just too pretty to hide away in an album to get crushed.
Thank you for sharing! :o)

Pinky this is beautiful!

PS-non scrapbooking related....I went on a girls weekend in October and my friend made Margarita Jello shots with the green jello, Margarita mix and vodka! Before serving she sprinkled with salt. YUMMY

I love the round frame on the square page! All of the flowers and lace are so pretty and of course, the message that you are always so good at getting across in a way that makes me think about your topic.

Thank you so much for everything you put into making your blog so great! I may not be looking at everything on time lately, but I do always go back and see what you have done. I feel like it is always worth my time!

I think you've outdone yourself this time, what an imagination!! We are supposed to get snow tomorrow nite - ha, a few flurries, maybe, but I can assure you all the bread and milk have been bought up! It's the strangest thing, if they even say the "s" word, that's what people go to the store to buy! ha ha
