**REMINDER** Tomorrow is the Clear Scraps Blog Hop!!!!

Good morning my friends,
it has been a crazy busy week, I am happy to see the light at the end
of the tunnel ♥

I have a winner today for the Cottage Christmas embellishment package,
and more Garden Party fun from Imaginisce.

I made this card last night for a friend....
This Garden Party line is awesome, I just adore it!
Everything except the tulle/title is Imaginisce.
I even used my i-bond to glue the tulle down.
I also used my Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro for the actual card making.
I hope your week is going well.

I have to be honest I am a bit down today as my friend Amber just
passed away. Pray for the Goddard family ♥
I only found out this morning and she was such an inspiration to me.
We shared a love of fabric and style. Thanks Amber for your
caring friendship, I will miss you my friend.

Ok enough of me and my chatter....
On to the WINNER!!!!!!!

Your chickens are adorable! We always buy eggs from a farm down the road from us, and they have free-range chickens. I was watching them one day, and I couldn't believe how cute they were!!! Sorry, I digress, back to Christmas scrapping - uh, haven't done any yet! I need to get started! So your prize will do me good - LOL!

~Chicken Update, Christmas Lights, & Giveaway Part Deux~

Good morning my amazingly crafty friends!
It is just freezing here in TN, I mean it's cold even for the chickens.
My boys had a snow day yesterday and drove me crazy because it
was far to cold to even go outside, those poor boys.

I thought today I would share a couple family photos/stories.
A glimpse of my Christmas Lights outside...and maybe even a Christmas GIVEAWAY!
Oh and do not forget about the Gypsy GIVEAWAY HERE courtesy of
Provocraft and the Cricut Circle

First of all my poor sweet chickens, you know chickens are fine
in the cold weather but the most common cause of death
in the cold is dehydration. To prevent this we all work together and take
shifts going out with warm water and changing the water.
*until we can get a water warmer* So I have spent the last few
days changing out water. I was so happy the kids were home to do it yesterday!
Here they are huddled under a heat lamp where
they spend pretty much day and night right now.
It was snowing on Sunday evening and I snapped this picture
it was 40+ MPH wind and -3 wind chill...so the pictures are not
perfect but i have my fingers left LOL
So happy hubby got the lights up before the storm.
You know we live out int he country and NO ONE puts lights
up except for us, but I can't help it. I am sorry but the kids love it
and by golly so do I! :) It might not be practical but it's fun.
I did notice 2 days after we put up lights the neighbor put one net light
on their bush, they have 3 girls I bet they were bugging dad for lights LOL

I had to share this last photo.
We went to a gingerbread house making party on Sunday afternoon
this is what my middle son Justice brought home.
Originally I had thought...well he is more mathematical so maybe the
creative side is with his brother....let me tell you how WRONG I was LOL

He sat me down and said "Momma, I had the PERFECT house, mom it was
so perfect, everything looked awesome...but then the crackers started to break
and I kept breaking cracker after cracker...so I decided...My house was
hit with a HUGE BLIZZARD and it blew the whole house down...
and you know what? A green gummi bear lived inside and he DIED..
see? There he is buried in the snow mom" then he giggled hysterically! LOL

Boys...oh sweet funny boys...they crack me up. I won't ever forget that.

Anyways enough of my gabbing today...are you asleep yet??
I am LOL

I have a fun little giveaway today....
I don't have a picture because I am so tired and it's dark. But it's
a fun little package of embellishments from the
Imaginisce Cottage Christmas line...perfect for Christmas!
Did you see yesterday they were giving away a Cricut Cake?
Better go check it out! :)
Leave a comment here about your Christmas scrapping and on
Friday a random winner will be drawn! :)

Oh and I have been playing with my Imagine so I have projects to
share this week as well! Just get my kids to school and we will be set! *wink*

Ok have a beautiful Tuesday everyone!
~Thank you all for stopping by~

~Monday is here, why not craft?!~

♥ Good morning my crafty friends ♥
It is Monday and I feel it LOL

I have been scrapping so many Christmas layouts and all those
pictures, so I decided to take a little break from that and dig into my
Garden Party papers from Imaginisce....it was a perfectly lovely break.
I like to mix it up and not get stuck in one season when I scrap.

I love this new line, they even have MESH BRADS in this line and plenty
of flowers, chipboard, die cuts. It is a beautiful line for sure ♥
On these butterflies I used the Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive and it worked perfectly
those thin strip is perfect for the body of the butterfly!
I love how they mixed the blues and green in with the pinks.
I used my XL Monarch Butterfly Punch, I really want to find the small
one but it is always sold out in my stores *sigh*
I am not ready for spring quite yet but it makes me happy to scrap it.
Oh and guess what? This week Imaginisce will be sharing many of the
Garden Party projects and I am sure you will be able to win some *wink*
so be sure to check the Imaginisce Blog out all week!

I hope your Monday is amazing!

~Christmas Traditions Layout & BOGO Sale~

♥Good morning my amazingly crafty friends♥

I had a fun night last night, I FINALLY set up my Imagine...
well ok hubby did but still it is done! I even printed up a couple
tags to work with on my next LO!

He cleaned up and organized while I scrapped this page.
I needed a picture to scrap for the new Noel Mignon challenge contest,
so I dug through my old Christmas pictures. This is one of my favorite all time photos
of the boys with dad right before Christmas.
We had just moved to TN and it was a wonderful experience
you want to know the funny part? Neither one of us can remember where
this darn Christmas tree farm is LOL We have tried to find it
and we both come up blank.
Anyways I used the new Echo Park paper (or maybe it is old?) and some vintage
crocheted lace, with those AWESHUM snowflakes from Imaginisce, and my
handy dandy Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive.
If you wonder why I am always listing the items I used,
it is because I do get alot of emails about it, and if you want to make
a page for yourself then you have the ingredients on hand ♥
Plus if I love a product I am not going to lie to ya, I will tell you it rocks!
Journaling:
The best gift I have ever received for Christmas, was not anything that could be given in a box. It was a FAMILY, a real family.
My first Christmas with my husband, we stayed up all night in each other’s arms talking until we fell asleep at dawn on the couch, then woke up an hour later with our son opening gifts.
Every year it is the same story, we are so excited putting out the
special gifts and watching the lights on the tree.
We talk about family , friends and events of the year, our lives before
and our lives now, our children, our losses, our joys.
It all comes up on Christmas Eve.
I never had a real family and for me that is the best gift I could ever receive.
Spending those moments in anticipation of the children’s excitement the
next morning with someone I love knowing we are a true family.

One more thing...TODAY ONLY!
If you buy one kit you get one FREE just pay extra shipping! :)
Here is the LINK for the Mini Kit

That's it for me today, I am going to have cupcakes with friends
later on and try to dig up a sausage breakfast casserole recipe for dinner!
Happy Friday everyone!

~Thank YOU for popping by~
~Have a beautiful day~

~Blog Hop WINNER & Coffee Cake~

Good morning!
It is a frigid 13 degrees this morning and I feel it♥

Last night hubby worked late so I decided to make a Sour Cream Coffee Cake
while I waited for him to get home. I woke up early (6am) with the
intention of taking a picture and sharing the recipe.

But I woke up to this LOL
So...I guess it was a hit. It's been a long time since I made it
but generally I make it around Christmas for Christmas morning.
I thought I would share my recipe :)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • Topping/Middle layer:
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

This is for an 8X8 Pan, but I make 1 1/2 recipe for my 13X9 pan
Mix all wet ingredients, blend well, then slowly add dry.
Pour half into pan, then coat with half of topping.
Carefully dollop rest of batter on top, coat again with remaining
sugar topping. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 325.

It really is a good coffee cake and the entire family loves it! :)
Ok on to the winner of yesterday's GLUE ARTS package!

Good morning my awesome online friends ♥

*side note* Please go check out the feature on Samantha Walker today!
♥ It's me! ♥

I had an amazing time last night with great local friends
at a Christmas party. Good friends, good times and good fun!

Remember those cupcake ornaments I was making yesterday?
They were for a house warming gift for a dear friend.

This is how I wrapped them up for presentation.
I used a real muffin tin so she would have a baking pan to top it off!

At the party we set up a photograph station for couples to get
their photos taken by the tree.
This is my awesome friend Adrienne with her hubby Aron
(I know they won't mind being on the blog LOL)
Here I am getting ready for the party with the new top I made!
It has a white furry bottom like Santa, I felt so cute!

Here is my friend Melissa with her hubby. I think the picture station
was a fun idea and I so wish I had been worrying less about
everyone else and snapped a shot of me and my hubby! LOL
It was a wonderful evening, I am so very blessed.
We even had a White Elephant *Dirty Santa* exchange.
I came home with a beautiful snowman trivet! *YEA*

~♥A Very Merry & Yummy Saturday To You♥~

*Don't forget tomorrow is the Scrap N' Tote WINNER and
Monday is the Imaginisce Blog with GIVEAWAY*

♥Good morning my amazingly delicious crafty friends♥

This week my friend Jan was making cupcake ornaments
and I had never felt the need to make them before...but she got me
curious about them. So I decided to start checking out sites and
I loved what I saw. BUT I wanted to tweek them and make
them my own instead of just following directions.

This is what I came up with.
They still look handmade, they are light and pretty,
but they are not as messy and some recipes I found, and not
as simple as others...I sort of made a happy medium.
Now hubby is not to happy with the incredible amount of PINK
glitter all over my house right now LOL
But I do love the results! :)
What do you think?? Is a video tutorial in order?

I am not really sure yet...I want to know what you all think.
If you all want one I will make it...but if you think
the cupcake idea is overdone I will just pass it and move on LOL
I do have a video coming up Wednesday with hand made garland
and a Christmas Card holder, also a new video for another Christmas
ornament, my annual one.
As I type I think I might have to do another one for these too LOL

Well it is cold and I have to finish prepping for tonight's party.
I made the fudge last night and so much food this week.
~Happy Saturday everyone~
~Once again THANK YOU for popping by~

~Scrapping with vintage lace & acrylic~

Good morning!!!!
It's a beautiful and very cold day today. I love it,
I am so ready for snow....hopefully it will soon then I will
feel ready for Christmas.

This week we are slowly but surely decorating and I am
feeling the holiday spirit for sure ♥

I love mixing old and new scrap products like
acrylic and vintage lace...I think it adds such a lovely
touch and it reminds me of my grandmother and history.

I made this layout at Tally Scrappers for a contest to win chocolate LOL

For the base I used a 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic page then I cut
out the Hambly Doily Overlay and placed it on the acrylic, then covered it in lace.
I also love adding Platinum Paint to my layouts when I
do vintage looking pages. I used the Folk Art Metallic Taupe
paint because it looks just like Platinum.
I also spritzed the journaling spots with Spun Sugar Smooch
for a more aged vintage look with shimmer.♥
I love the new Extreme Tac adhesive from Glue Arts for the acrylic too
it stays on, it does NOT yellow and crack like the glues I have used
and it sticks really hard which is what I need, I like my pages to last!
I wish I could have captured all the detail on this layout.
I used almost a whole box of flowers from Imaginisce, I love
how they layered and the tulle flowers in the box.
I also used the i-rock and the swirls template that is so hard to find.
♥Ohh La La♥

The double lace was from my friend Gloria,
I have such amazing supportive friends including my online buddies
I am so very blessed to have so many friends who are so wonderful.

Ok I am off to bake the day away, we have
a party coming up on Saturday so I need to get it done!
The list is...
Caramel Corn (3 batches!) ♥
Cookies
Fudge
Brownies
Jell-o shots

I better get busy!!!
Happy Thursday everyone
~Have a beautiful day~
