~It's FRIDAY Let's Rock & Roll! *Stamp Winner*~

HAPPY FRIDAY, Friday the 13th even! OOOooo
My poor baby boy was sick yesterday so
it put a halt to any crafting for Thursday.

Remember those pictures I took of my feet? LOL
I finally found a use for them! WOOT!

I was playing at Tally Scrappers,
because I wanted to win a kit for my girlfriend.
The challenge was to make an 8.5X11 LOUse safety pins, make it rock & roll, and use cardboard,
oh and use song lyrics. I used some of them because
they are pretty graphic. I will post them at the end of the page
and try to blur out the one itty bitty cuss word.I love Eminem *don't shoot me* hehe
I feel like he is the modern day voice for many
abused children so I relate to his music
in a weird way. I am not as crude as he is but
it speaks to my heart and I cry for him and others.

So I used his song "Beautiful" that says
"Come walk a mile in my shoes"

I wanted to make it ROCK so I used denim and metal
and some old almost dried out silver paint.
I rubbed it on with my fingers all over the title and

everywhere, it looks pretty cool in person.

In my shoes, just to see What it's like, to be me I'll be you, let's trade shoes. Just to see what it'd be like to feel your pain, you feel mine Go inside each others' minds Just to see what we'd find look at life through each others' eyes I'm not looking for extra attention I just wanna be just like you Blend in with the rest of the room Nobody asked for life to deal us With these b**sh** hands we're dealt We gotta take these cards ourselves and flip 'em, don't expect no help Now I could've either just sat on my ass and pissed and moaned Or take this situation in which I'm placed in and get up and get my own
But I already told you my whole life story not just based on my description 'Cause where you see it, from where you're sittin It's probably 110% different I guess we would have to walk a mile In each others shoes.

Morning!
Well, it felt like I was never going to be
finished with this mini album but I am!
*This is day 2 of the school year and momma is going to
take a girly day!*

I think it took me longer to photograph
it then make the darn thing LOL

The album is a Clear Scraps mini album

On the cover I used my French Manor Cartridge
and my Cricut Expression.
See the cute gingham under the "in time"?
It is FABRIC TAPE from Love my Tapes and I am officially
"IN LOVE" I love that stuff!

Through the album I used Basic Grey papers.
And you can see the Monarch Butterfly Punch
from Martha Stewart, I love her punches!

Here I used a really old Daisy D Rub-on
and a leftover cloth brad from the August Kit from SFTIO

On this page I also used more from the SFTIO kit,
including the brown stamp *see I do stamp! LOL*
The alphas were also from the kit.

Using the theme from the cover I used more sewing
patterns to create this flower. Also another fabric
brad from SFTIO kit. I threw in some vintage lace.

This is all Basic Grey, their stickers were so yummy!

Some twill I had and another Basic Grey sticker

Another fabric brad and flower from SFTIO kit, also
some very OLD 7Gypsies rub-ons, I have been
hoarding them! :)

More sewing patterned paper, crinkled and ruffled.
Oh and on the lower edged some VIVA Paint pen!\
My FAVORITE product!

Here on the back
I used wide vintage lace to make the flower
and my Imaginisce i-top to make the center
with the Medium Brads. Also I used tulle that
I sprayed with Tattered Angels Coral Glimmer Mist
and I am out :( I need to find a sale I guess.

~Monday already?? I feel scrappy! *Winner*~

Hey y'all, morning!
I was up nice and early this morning getting
the boys ready for school. My little one
wanted me to walk him in because it is a new
school. He has an older teacher and I hope she
is kind and sweet like Miss Hollandsworth
*his teacher last year*

Momma's nerves are a little rattled this morning
just from seeing them off to the first full day. :)

I did get home in time to work some more
on a new project. It is completely done, I just
need to bind it together and put some finishing
touches on before I photograph it entirely.

Here is the front.
It is mostly Basic Grey papers because
that is what Clear Scraps gave us to use.
I also used my French Manor Cricut cartridge
I am in LOVE with that dang cartridge!

Especially the Dress Form~! OOh La La!!

This year I have really found my love for
mini albums, they are so fun!

I have no idea what I am going to do with them though,
they just sit here looking pretty! LOL
This is the FIRST acylic album I have covered
the acrylic mostly. Usually I leave quite a bit exposed.
I hope it looks good when I finish it off.

~Hello Sunday my weekend friend & another winner here!~

Good afternoon!

How is your weekend going?
It is so stinkin hot today, and I am inside
sewing, crafting, and getting the kids ready for the
first full day of school.

My son Gage who is entering First Grade,
he is a rock star, he loves music.
He is very artistic in his head, he sings all the time
so when he asked me for a backpack tag while
we were int he luggage section, and
we could not find a guitarI immediately though of my new Rock Princess
cartridge and the guitar on it!
He was tickled PINK I think he thanked me
10 times today for it.
So nice to have crafting as a backup,
plus hubby sat there and kept saying
"I am so glad you craft" hehehe

It was a very sweet crafty day today.

Yesterday's True Blood girlyfriend day was FABU!
I am addicted! LOL
I totally have bed head because I
took over the little chair they had,
footrest and all, and lounged through 9 episodes!
It was so fun, she even made Vampire cupcakes!
OK I will quit my blabbering!

Good morning! I know I know I missed

I did work on projects yesterday, I am so

Don't you just love those little white vinyl letters in the kit?
One thing I love about the SFTIO kits, they always include
at least 3 sets of alphas and that is my biggest pet
peeve with kits...I need my alphas man!

Anyways to the tone of Discovery, while I was
scrapping my layouts I sort of realized that
I am getting better at trusting myself and my instincts!
So this is the layout I made about it...Finally Old Enough.
Now if I could just get rid of the crazy hormones LOL
I would be able to implement my trust every day!

Why do I always get jabbering on the reveal days?

I was feeling very artsy funky LOL

Being me, and having pink hair, and well just
being open about my childhood abuse
and my ex husband's abuse.
I always feel pressure to conform.
Slowly but surely I have learned that conformity
is just not for me. I am who I am
and I cannot change what has happened
to me so I might as well stand up and use it to
help others to see you can survive and still be
a productive adult.

In fact it has been helpful to stay true to myself.
A few years ago when I faced my past everyone told
me it would be better to be quiet and move on and
not say anything about it ever again.
But guess what? They were so wrong, it has been
so amazing and healing to be open and speak out loud.
*enough of my jabbering! LOL*

Pinky, Hope you had an enjoyable flight to CHA. I am so glad you went my jet and not prop or even prop-jet! I once went from Chicago to Indianapolis by prop-jet. Pretty bumpy ride! My MIL was with me. We had a 5-hour layover in Chicago and when we got on the tiny plane she said, "I can't believe we waited 5 hours for this!" Everyone on the plane burst out laughing! (all 10-15 of us!)

I used my itop to make these flowers,
I twisted tulle and made a circle, then I
took the background paper and made large brads
and glued them down to the paper with my Helmar 450.
