AHHH Fall is here in Middle TN.

The rain, thunder and lightning was a coming down
at the bus stop today!

Today is also my son's Kindergarten Teacher's BIRTHDAY!
So in the spirit of giving the teacher an apple I made this card for her.

I hope she likes it!
I have a fun RAK coming tomorrow (Friday) so stay tuned.
Back to my sick boy who has the flu.

I am sew happy to be back into sewing and scrapping again....
today I take the bandage off of my finger! YEA!
It's still pretty bad but not as open, safe to keep open.

ANDDD I was actually able to sew yesterday! YEA!
Not much today though, the kids are on half day...
you know...I am gettign spoiled having time to myself every day LOL

~Crazy Looonnngg Weekend and RAK winner~

Hey everyone, sorry I am so late in blogging

9-11 kind of zapped my creativity and mood...
but last week I was in a 8.5X11 MOOD, I am telling you what!!!
for some reason that size just sparked my creativity
I made 3 Layouts in that size and 2 cards!
This is just one.This entire weekend we spent house hunting,
I feel so bad for my boys but we have to do what we have to do.
The house we rent is being foreclosed on and we have to
get the heck out! But we are trying to buy so it complicates it even more...
so we see rentals in the AM and real estate people in the PM.

~Remembering~

This is a rough day for many.
I have many military friends as well as friends
in NY or people who have lost family in 9-11.
I have not lost anyone personally,
I question my right to grieve sometimes,
but as a nation I know we all grieve.

This is the day I look back and remember what I was doing on 9-11.
I had just found out I was pregnant, in fact
that was one of the main factors in choosing Justice as a name
for our son. Hard to believe it has been 8 years.
Still feels so fresh.
God bless those who were heroes that day,
God bless those who passed and those who remain.

I am very excited to announce that I have just become DT Coordinator at
Tally Scrapper!

Taly just changed hands and this is definietly a new
venture for all of us. I am so happy to be part of it!
I really hope you decide to come over and join,
it's going to be fun.
Tally has always been very creative and open.
You all know I don't hang in places that don't love every scrapper,

~Making the most out of your scrap dollars!~

I have not had much time to scrap this weekend,
but I did sit down today and play a bit more with my laminator.
Check out this fun flower I made!
Definitely a MONEY SAVER item!
You can use the laminator pockets (very cheap)
OR packaging from anything.
So either way it saves you the 4-6.00 for acrylic embellishments!

I am thinking, tomorrow I will make a video
about making your own clear (ghost or acrylic like) embellishments!
AND of course using alcohol ink on them just like this one.
I am not a huge fan of alcohol inks but I so LOVE
"painting" with them! I love the look of it.
It was fantastic making this flowers and I cannot wait to make more.

On a more personal note, a sign of the times
hit home this weekend.
We received a letter saying we are being kicked out of our home.
The owner is being foreclosed on.
Times are tough for everyone and I understand that it must be rough.
So we are off to look for new housing this week.
please keep our family in your prayers, this was unexpected and
I am very stressed and upset about it all.
We have been very blessed to keep a job and home in this rough economy
so I cannot complain too much, this too shall pass.

~Happy Labor Day...Monday~

Did you know the Fiskateers are having a mini- Labor Day Crop?
I am so happy they are because I have not been scrapping
at all since I injured my hand... in fact
I was kind of afraid to even go into my sewing/craft room.
Last night I sucked it up and just went in...
I changed the needle on my sewing machine,
I cleaned up the shattered needles and plate and
dusted off my scrap table!

This is my FAVORITE shot on our vacation in June with the in-laws!
It was night time and everyone was trying to get a shot
of the Belmont Mansion and I got that one shot and I love it!!!

The ruffle is fabric that I wanted to incorporate
but was not sure how....so I ended up taking a strip
and tearing it for a frayed edge for a soft edge.
I did not want the stiff look or ribbon but
I wanted the cherries and fabric content for more texture.

It has been a real blessing discovering the history in the south.
Probably one of the most interesting things about moving.

OK then, I am off to play with my boys today...
gotta get some help showering then off to the park!
My finger is healing nicely but still bandaged.
I will be happy to be back to normal soon!

~Survivor Time Again??

I never was a huge Survivor fan BUT

I am a HUGE Tally Scrapper Survivor Game fan!

No you do not get eliminated and it is all in good scrapbooking fun.
The reason I love this game is because it's not cut throat, it is

Looks like we have a new addition to our little household...
Her name is Daffodil and she is a sweet little baby.
She is precious and very young so we are hand feeding her
the boys are in love and my husband is SO IN LOVE heheheHe cannot get enough of her!The last picture was today when she fell asleep.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Stephanie today...
it was her birthday!

~Honorable Wednesday and an accident to boot!~

I had an amazing honor this week,
I was chosen to be the Guest DT on Dream Girls
this week!!

Here is my LO for the challenge...

So for the bad day I had,
yesterday I was sewing and for the first time in over 20 years...
I sewed right through my finger...
It was horrible, squirting blood all over and the needle
sticking out both sides of my finger, it went all
the way through and broke off.
I pulled it through and it was broken so I had to remove it on both sides.
Needless to say I am having hubby type this for me, since I cannot.
It's hurting very much, hubby rushed home to
help me, and the neighbor who is a nurse came over and
helped me decide whether or not I needed to go to the ER.
Here is to hoping it heals and no Dr. is necessary!

~Tuesday has rolled by once again...Reveal day!!

Morning everyone!
It has been a very long frustrating weekend
and today my baby is still sick.
He has been through 2 rounds of antibiotics and
still have ear infections and Bronchitis.
I hope this is the week it works!
he is whining and crying so much my heart breaks for him.
I kept him home today to rest.
