~Tempting Tuesday~

How is your Tempting Tuesday? Its a beautiful crisp cool morning! I love fall mornings, just enough cool to consider a light jacket, but enough sun to make me smile! What could be better?!

Plus I woke up and I WON a contest in Tally Scrapper with my Do you feel Pretty LO!
Now that made my morning!
I hope your having a beautiful day!

****SMILE****

I went fishing yesterday and dug out these old Snorkeling pictures form Hawaii! I used a sketch and a Sports challenge to make the LO, I like the overall appeal to it and the waves were fun!

Now these flowers I worked on yesterday and as the day went on
I got better and better at them!
They are made from Scraps of fabric which I have OODLES of LOL
I love them and plan on using them on some Layouts when I get a chance! But first back to sewing Halloween dresses and tops!~

~Have a beautiful Day and thank YOU for stopping by!~

~Scrapping the weekend away~

I scrapped these three Layouts this weekend for the Tally Scrappers DT call.
I am so pleased with how they turned out.
I felt my mojo flowing this weekend I guess.

This is Justice's Great Grandfather who has passed on. He wont remember these pictures but it meant SO much for Grandpa to hold him, he loved him so much!
Great Grandma passed on right after these picture was taken.
She left me this lace and the sewing machine so this LO means so much to me.

This picture I took on our train weekend and I love it so much, I just love watching the boys in their "thinking" Moments.
I used glass tiles Cherrie sent me! Thanks Cherrie.
And check out the NEW Dream street papers! LOVEEEEEE them!!!!!!!!

This Layout is about our visit to Hawaii This picture I took in Haunama Bay.
Hawaii changed my life forever, or the people did anyways. So I love scrapping about it.

OK and for a more serious moment.
Some of you may know a Scrapping buddy of some friends is mine passed away tragically last week. It is terrible and sad. And Greta Adams is putting together a book of her work for her children from her blog.
This is the info.

Aleida was a big part of the scrappin community and on Sept 12, 2008 she was taken from her family and children and us suddenly. I cannot express how much i am shocked and hurt.. I cannot stop thinking about her husband and her 2 small children (bella and Josuha)

I had what i think is a brilliant idea to have her blog published into a hard back book for her children. My goal is to have 2 of them published. Any left over money will be sent directly to Brandon for any expenses he see's fit to use it for...

~Back to the Basics~

I made this LO for the Scrapbooking Heaven CROP!
IF You feel like cropping this week with SUPER nice laid back people PLEASE stop by and tell them I sent you and if you crop 2 challenges I get a badge! LOL

Crop with PINKY!

http://www.scrapbookheavenga.com

I was feeling a little chip-boardy today LOL!

I just felt like doing a real basic LO so damned if I didn't! It's not my usual style and not my usual tear/layer/embellish/tear. But it was fun and I LIKE IT! So thats what counts!
Plus its a cute story!

We were in Norfolk VA and mind you this is the FIRST big Battleship I had seen close up so we drove around twice but with traffic I could not get a shot, I missed 3! So finally my batteries gave out on me and NO PICTURE! I was so upset!

But I knew I had one shot left if I flipped the batteries so I did and Andrew grabbed the camera and I will be damned if he did not get the "PERFECT" shot off!
My hero! *sigh* hehehehe

Have a beautiful Day and thanks for coming by!

~Acrylic Mini album/Card/Book Tutorial~

Since this little Card/mini album/book I made was so popular and I had so many requests for a tutorial I decided to make one!!!

Now I was out of Cherry goodies sooooo this is the album we will be making today!

Are you ready??? OK let's do this!!
You start with one 12X12 sheet of Clear acrylic paper or Hambly. Any design is fine.
You can get about 5 to 6 pages total depending on the size or design

You cut in 4" OR 3" strips once again depending on the size of album/card you want.

Then you start with the smallest size and cut each piece 1" longer than the last.

Here I used my corner rounder to round the edges

I also scalloped the edges with it (see tutorial earlier on my blog)

This is how it will look layered
and not embellished at all.
Base of the Book/card/album.

On the front page I cut use the thinnest strip of paper remembering as I go I will be layering wider strips to see through later. You can see the glue is slightly visible so I always want to have a layer on each side so no glue will ever show.
I put this textured cardstock on the back side.

And a paper lace on the front...no glue shows! but it has a cool layer effect.

This is how the back side looks all ready for embellishments.

If I do use ribbon I try to wrap it completely around.

I have my heart and embellishments ready for adding in the end.

Now on the next page I use a wider sheet of paper and I like it to be decorative because I know the top and bottom will be showing through.

And on the back I used a slightly wider sheet of paper you can pretty much go crazy with whatever style you want.

And obviously on the last page I use the widest paper so it will add the last layer of paper that will be seen on the front of the album/card/book.

These are all the layers before embellishment with just so
you can see it all comes together nicely.

I even added one more layer on the very back for a note of more pictures.
I LOVE double sided paper! They coordinate well and looks so cool!

Now you hold firmly all the layers and use your handy dandy Crop a Dile OR hole punch and make 2 OR THREE holes for the ribbon! And lace that baby up!

You thread the ribbon and Wallah!!
Play with your embellishments and have FUN!

~Rain Dot WINNERS~

OK I put in 44 names

.
. #6 Crazed Scrapbooker? Raindot flowers

and

.
.#20 Little Miss raindot letters and numbers!

So PLEASE email me and let me know your address' so I can mail them off immediately!

Don't wait too long or I will draw another name!!

~It's 9-11 & Halloween season approaches!~

I want to take one serious moment and remember 9-11 is today, I hope you are flying your flag.
I will be saying a prayer for all those lost and all the heroes who are struggling now with lung disease and who passed on in 9-11.

MY heart goes out to their families and friends and I still cry thinking about that horrible day.

God Bless America and God Bless us all.

I LOVE LOVE this time of year! I break out the Halloween fabric and chain myself to my sewing machine. Not only is it one of my most productive times but it also is one of my highest selling times because plus sized girls like to wear tops and dresses but not have to wear a FULL ON costume!
Now onto the Jack O Lanterns and more spiderwebs!!

I have SEW much fun, yes I said SEW MUCH FUN! Making these tops and dresses, this is just the first 3! I am excited now! woohoo!!
Buy these dresses or check them out *click Me*

BTW I Will draw a name for the rain dots this afternoon sometimes.

Added from my myspace blog this morning

I remember 9-11 and how scared I was every time I heard an airplane for 1 year afterwards.

I remember being pregnant and crying for the families, I remember seeing the families in agony and despair.
All I can do now is shed a few tears in memory and pray for those battling lung cancer and other afflictions from helping in 9-11. Fly my flag and hope for better and Trust that God will protect me and my family and stay true to my faith and beliefs.
I have to remember that no matter the political view, or who we vote for, that it hurts everyone remembering. And it is not a republican or democratic problem but a USA attack that happened.
So no matter the belief or view of me and my friends....I pray today and ~REMEMBER~

~Scrappin the day away!~

Well, against my better judgment I went into Bad Girls and registered and entered the Top Designer contest and this is my entry! I am happy with it, I like it alot!! I stoled the bow on the owl idea from Greta! I just thought it was so adorable!
I did fix the missing stickle last night and tried to get another shot this morning BUT no sun here! Just clouds and rain?
I know I have no chance of winning BUT it will be fun to play, there are like 250 entries!
And they have a strict criteria to judge on as well plus no one knows me!
So it should be super cool!

Tomorrow on my blog I will be giving away some RAIN DOTS!
Yea some fun Halloween color Rain Dots!
So be sure to check back with me!

I also did this Layout and I got stuck in the middle I could NOT for the life of me figure out how to embellish it! I could not find a vintage or train feel, then it dawned on me! I had some Graphics 45 paper with clocks on it! *Thank YOU Cherrie!* So I cut out the clocks and used some stamps to match the Hambly overlays!!!I love it now!

~Good Morning Sunday~

I did this Layout yesterday for Tally Scrappers. I love that group of funky fun girls!
I don't like the LO but I made it so I will keep it...for now LOL
It's my first SCHOOL Layout so I will grade myself on the curve!
I found out something about myself, when I get stressed about a LO and panic, I start Ripping! LOL To see if I can make it better! Usually it works, but this time, not so much!
Right now I am low on supplies and waiting for an order of 2 small tiny kits from Kelly.
Maybe they will inspire me this week!

I am hoping against all hope to go scrappy shopping later this week!

But for now...today its off to Joanns for Fabric!
You knwo Halloween is just around the corner so I will be making Halloween themed dresses and tops! WOOHOO my favorite time of year! Halloween and Valentine's Day and Christmas are my best selling seasons!

There was a challenge to scrap my job and a special challenge at Tally Scrappers....so this is the LO I came up with

The Journaling reads....and its about HOW I started my JOB!
Journaling

But I’m FAT and I want to look pretty too!! So what’s a girl to do? Well she gets out her sewing machine and goes to town!! Now I am honored to mail my clothing around the world!

Ok here’s the scoop, I never intended to have this job!! It just fell in my lap. But now I feel like I am actually accomplishing something!! ….ya…SO WHAT UR FAT?!!You CAN be beautiful!!

I don’t know if I am changing the world but I love what I do and I make others feel good about themselves so it can’t be a bad thing!
