~Dreaming Of A Forest~

Hello there, Hope your Halloween or Fall Fest went well. :)
Can you believe it is November 1st? Oh I cannot!
I will share Halloween photos tomorrow....but today...

It's time to think about Christmas cards and the brand new
release stamps from Avocado Arts.
I have had a lot of fun with this Very Merry set.
I really wanted to use the trees and create a forest, but make
one tree pop up as the Christmas Tree like all those Christmas movies we love.
I ended up taking the more vintage style approach and actually I love the card.
For the trees I inked the stamps in several colors to get a rustic look.
And quite frankly, every project needs stickles! LOL

NOW don't forget to check out the other girls! You are going to be inspired!

    ~Ombre Fun~

    Good morning my crafty friends,
I hope you had an amazingly fun weekend just as I did.
Packed full of wonderful friends and family.

I have a fun technique to share today....
head over to the Globecraft Blog to check out the tutorial!
I used the Enamel Powders to create an OMBRE effect on this card.
I used Bo Bunny papers, and the Piccolo chipboard and Enamel Powders,
Unity Stamp, with a Stickle edge, Clearsnap inks too,
then I added a gold enamel edge and beautiful bow.
Fun little technique, go check it out! :)

I am off to finish up my Online Holiday Card Class today!
    So stay tuned~
    Happy Monday everyone! MUAH!!!

    ~Pocketful Of Memories~

    Good morning my friends,

I told y'all I have been crafting this week and one of my projects
is for a friend of mine (Lindy), who is an amazing inspiration to me,
as is her daughter who has helped her mom from the first day.
I have only known her about a year but she has really touched my life.
When Lindy asked me to make a page for her sister in law of course I said YES.
Lindy is a Cancer survivor and she is full of life.
I am always amazed by the people I meet. Those who show you what
is really important in life and just how much surviving really means.
I think that must be our common bond: survival.
She was featured in the Martina McBride video, you can read her
    amazing story here: Lindy's Story
It's always hard to figure out what to do on a page you make for someone else
but I had an idea of exactly what I wanted to do for this special page.
Lindy is full is spunk and amazing love...I wanted to make it a heartfelt page
full of bling and pearls. The pocket is filled with photos and newspaper
clippings, there were so many I wanted a nice place to put them
without making 6 or 7 actual pages so I came up with the pocket.
As I approach 40 I am meeting the most amazing people.
This was another way crafting has helped me to reach out
to people who really make a difference in this world~
    For this project I used:
Clear Scraps 12X12 acrylic sheet, KanBan Crafts, Beacon 3N1, Viva Decor Pearl Pens,
Momenta alphas, Clearsnap Smooch Spritz on the alphas, vintage lace, stickles.

I even used my i-bond to glue the tulle down.

I have to be honest I am a bit down today as my friend Amber just

Your chickens are adorable! We always buy eggs from a farm down the road from us, and they have free-range chickens. I was watching them one day, and I couldn't believe how cute they were!!! Sorry, I digress, back to Christmas scrapping - uh, haven't done any yet! I need to get started! So your prize will do me good - LOL!

    ~Happy Hump Day *Chicken Update*~

Good morning my amazingly crafty friends,

I DO have a craft to share today but first I wanted to share
    a quick chicken update.
My chickens have fans of their own you know *wink*
I never expected people would really care about the chickens
but I get weekly emails asking to please post.

So love it or not they are here to stay!

We have decided that 10 chickens just happen to be
the perfect amount for our family.
Enough eggs for us and a couple extra here and there.
However, I want to have extra to sell so the goal is 20.
Here is the next yesterday at 4pm. 8 eggs not to shabby :)
I took a couple shots of the chickens at dusk
You can see it is fall in Tennessee , and becoming chilly in the morning
    but they are doing fine.
They have actually dug little holes they snuggle in during the day
I have not figured that out just yet. I have to research.
Now the boys are not happy about the cool weather because
the water freezes and they have to change it more LOL

I say "It's good for em!" Let them work, it's great to see
    how real life rolls *grin*

Ok now if you are more straight laced just come back tomorrow
and read no further. But I have both very relaxed friends
and very strict friends, this one is for the more relaxed.

I am doing an ATC swap with a couple close friends
it is a "Release your inner bitch" ATC swap.
I was very inspired by these silly 50's retro tags I found
    on Bluntcard.com...HILARIOUS!
Just silly and fun. Private joking fun.
Anyways here are my cards....I went VERY PINK! :)
I used my Ba Da Bing Bling (Hot Pink Momma)
you can just see it a little on the paper I used here.
I also used the Clear Scraps ATC cards (YEA acrylic!)
I just had fun and went glittery, funky, artsy, PINK!
Sometimes it is fun to let loose and go a little crazy :)
    Happy Hump Day!!!
~Thank YOU for popping by and saying hi~

~Hello Saturday, Have You Been Enchanted Yet?!~

    Good morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the wee-kend, hello my wee-kend, it's my happy dance!

Today we are off to help a friend move *good times*
It is so fun when a friend moves closer to ya.

Ok I am MORE than excited this week.
You know I am not a girly girl scrapper but I have been looking
forward to the new line from Imaginisce "Enchanted"....
    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
    I LOVE IT!
I was struggling then I got to thinking...why not make a page
for my own book? I have a great album for this.
My friend Dolores had a huge heart on her page the other day
so I called her up and said "I am stealing your idea for a page,
it goes perfectly with my new PINK line of paper"
of course she was super cool about it.
I even grabbed my sewing machine to play some more with it.
This layout is not only soft and subtle but I can see it for any girl!
Oh and the journaling? It is the border stickers cut up!
LOVE those border stickers, so versatile!

Oh and quick tip for my tulle...I used the Ribbon Adhesive from
Glue Arts and it was a snap! I have had issues with my ribbon
and glue bleeding through and yellowing later on, so I tried the Glue
Arts ribbon glue and it worked PERFECTLY!
*no they did not pay me to say it LOL I just love it*

    Supplies Used:
Glue Arts Extreme Glue & Ribbon Adhesive
    Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro
Tulle with white dots (1.99 at Hobby lobby)
    Sewing machine with white thread
    Thickers (American Crafts)
    Stickles *many colors*
    Cricut for the PERFECT heart!

That is it for me today, I am off to watch people move heavy boxes LOL
I am not totally useless though, I did bake and get food ready. *wink*

    ~Happy Saturday everyone!~
~Have a great day and THANK YOU for stopping by~

~Monday?? Already? New favorite technique & Giveaway too!~

Good morning, can you believe it is Monday already?
I feel like this weekend shot past me.

I did work on a few projects but most of them are for
my DT work and won't be revealed for a while.

In the mean time I wanted to share my new
    favorite technique with y'all.
I made this card using my Cricut Expression,
the Cindy Loo cartridge, Glossy Accents *Ranger*, PK Glitz Glitter,
and paint. But not just any paint!
I have discovered old gummy paint LOL
It is awesome! You can do it my way...or shortcut it.
My way is to use half a bottle of acrylic paint
then leave it for 4 months until it gets gummy
OR you can pour new paint onto a plate, add some
waterbased glue to it (the standard school kind)
let it set for 20 minutes or 1 hour, until it gets gummy
then spread it on your project.
For the best results I use my fingers.
I play with it like plaster. It leave great dimension without
the ugly shine. It will also crack beautifully if you
use a heat gun on it.
What do you think? Fun right?

Ok on to the giveaway, I have sitting here from CHA
2 SIGNED Tim Holtz Embossing Folders!
    Yea that's right....Woot Woot!

And as of today we are at 724 followers.
I would love to hit 750 this week, my goal is 1000 by
December for Christmas, I hope anyways.

Come on guys help me out here!
Leave a comment, spread the word! :)
Just a little secret, I am working on getting a
Cricut to giveaway at 1000 followers! So it's going to be BIG! :)
    ~Happy Monday!!!!!!!!!!~

at school volunteering but the kids come first.

Anyways, I have a Layout to share with you today!
Another Ruby Rock-it Layout no less.
This time I used their SUMMERHOUSE collection.
I used the old Fiskars Crimper to crimp the paper

last night while making this layout.
Practically everything here is Ruby Rock-it even the HAPPY alpha.
I made this layout for a challenge at Tally Scrappers
I am just waiting for them to post it. You had to use
PAINT *check* Distressing *Check* and the word HAPPY in the
    title *Big Fat CHECK* hehehehe
    Lovin' me some cork flowers.

Oh and for those of you who have asked.
You can buy Ruby Rock-it online at http://www.scrapbook.com/

    ~Hi! It's Monday...

Morning all you amazing crafty peeps!
I am late this morning, this weekend has been particularly difficult.
My back has been really bad which lead to a severe migraine
which is not quite 100% gone yet, plus the kids are home for MLK Day.
But I cannot complain, I am alive and smiling this morning.

Remember that Badge Daddies Pin I shared? I decided to make a card to put it in...
I used the Lucy Bird line from Imaginisce since it matched perfectly!
I have been on the hunt for the Lucy Bird line in stores but have
only found it at TwoPeas and A Cherry On Top
but it's coming! I love this line...I think if I had 4 packs I could
use it all just because of that yummy brown and pink polka dot paper LOL

On a side note, did you catch the Golden Globes last night?
I never watch award shows, not even the Oscars but hubby clicked it on
for a bit and I caught Monique winning and her beautiful glory!
Monique inspires me to stop stressing on self loathing and my weight
and look at all the good I can accomplish, and focus on being happy and fulfilled.
Every time I see her I see her beauty and wish I had those eyes for myself!
A little jolt back to my normal self is just what I needed! Thanks Monique!
Thanks for reminding me I am beautiful no matter what size and
I need to remember I can do anything!
Thanks for the PSA today! LOL

OK off to spend the day with my crazy boys...
I baked home made cinnamon rolls last night and they are begging for more!
    ~Have a great Monday~
~Stay tuned for the flower winner tomorrow~

    ~Friday! Finally precious Friday! hehe

Morning all you beautiful crafters, another
    beautiful day in Middle Tennessee.
Yesterday's burst of sun really rejuvenated me.
Today the new Challenge for ScrapFit is up and running!

Since this was our last workout as the current DT
    Challenge #12 was
    Weight Lifting
Pick a LO that another DT member has done in Workouts 1-11 and lift it.
Here is the Layout I "lifted" by the beautiful HeatherI did not want to stray too much from it
so here is my version...I used the January KIT from Timeless Daydreams
    I LOVE this kit!
I wish I had been able to photograph this better,
I need tips on photographing blue in the winter with no sun LOL
OK that's it for me today, I need to get to work
it has been a long and productive week! Time to get ready
for some good old fashioned relaxing LOL!

Thanks ScrapFit for having me as a DT, I loved

~Bring on the weekend and scrappy goodness too!~

Imaginisce has been such a fun company to design for!
The new lines are awesome I am so blessed.
Here is a page I made this morning from the Scooter's Vacation line
it has so many fun embellishments...from chipboard to flowers!
I hand cut this design from a template...I love the whirly
    twirly feel to it :)
I used my handy dandy Tombow to hold it altogether.
Oh and the clouds were a freehand from the PACKAGING
behind the stickers and rub-ons! How fun is that?
I love the rub-ons they have...they go so well on photos!
OK off to clean some more, the kids have me running the last few days!
    ~Thank YOU for stopping by~
~Have a beautiful Thursday, bring on the weekend!~
