~Fun With PINKY!~

Good morning all you crafty peeps out there!

I was up at 2 and 3 am with my boy, so at 4:30 I decided...
why not just stay up and craft this morning ♥
Since Imaginisce is having their "Enchanted" release party this week
I thought it would be fun to use the Enchanted line to make
a hanger for my crafty room.
I don't have any girls, but I am pretty sure I am one ♥
So every piece of Enchanted goes straight to me!
I had been wanting to make a new door hanger for a while now
and I love me some birds...(yes I am on a bird kick)
So I grabbed my Clear Scraps Chipboard bird, my Cricut Expression
and my Sentimentals cartridge, my stickles and went to town!
I used the butterfly wings and cut them in half from the Sentimentals cartridge.
Of course I used plenty of tulle♥
Alot of Glue Arts Glue, a dab of Mod Podge,
some vintage lace and here it is! :)
I am so excited to hang it in my crafty room today.
I wonder if i can stay awake long enough to admire it LOL.

Oh and remember that fabulous card I told you about yesterday?
Here it is...isn't is amazing?! I ♥ it so much. And she left it blank for
me to give to someone special.
I think I will send it to Dolores for her
friend with Cancer. What a wonderful way to send some love.
Thanks so much Chris!

Don't forget...every FRIDAY Clear Scraps has a giveaway!
So go check it out!
Plus the blog has been hopping!

Also you could win Imaginisce goodies this week from the
Enchanted Release party! So go check it out.
If I hear of anymore giveaways I will holla'

~Happy Wednesday y'all~

~Glittery Fun Pumpkin Decorating Tutorial Using Cricut~

Good morning my amazingly talented crafty friends.

Not every day is a scrap day and this week I will be working
on some fun Halloween projects.
My son's teacher asked me to decorate a class
pumpkin for a contest.
The theme was Just Say BOO To Drugs
and this is what I came up with.
Of course you could use any theme you like :)

First of all I painted a BIG 10" spot of orange
Extreme Glitter on the front. Now if I had added another coat it would
have been PURE glitter, but I wanted it to be more subtle and less
feminine for the class room. This Extreme GlitterPaint is amazing!Set Pumpkin aside to dry, then using your Cricut and some Cricut vinyl
Cut your desired shape (I used cut (skull) at 8" Pumpkin Carving Cartridge)
Adhere Cricut cut shaped vinyl to from of pumpkin making sure
to pinch excess vinyl together (since a pumpkin is pretty bumpy).
Now you have 2 options, if you want a solid paint use
Folk Art Acrylic Paint, but I wanted a spooky shadowy effect
so I used a cheap can of spray paint.
I began thinking I wanted it fully painted black,
however when I saw the spooky shadow effect I decided to
leave it like this, I loved the look of it in the end.
Spritz paint lightly coating 3 times (LIGHTLY)
set aside to dry.
After I set the pumpkin aside to dry I went into my craft room
and created these tags, they were all from the Pumpkin Carving Cartridge.
I used Bazzill Glazed cardstock, and on the glittery ones I
painted them with the matching Extreme Glitter Orange Paint.
I used Thickers, and my Elmers scalloped scissors. Then I took a wire hanger, I cut the ends off.
I made sure to double cut all tags, I used Beacon Zip Dry to adhere
them to the hanger and cover the back with the second cut.
I know the Beacon Zip Dry will last and not fall apart.
That's it! Easy right? And no carving :)
If you decide to make one I would love to see your version!!!

~Happy Halloween!~

~Ghostly Sunday & Chicken Update~

Good morning my crafty friends...
are you ready for another Halloween project?

This is another invitation using my Cricut Expression,
Color Core'dinations cardstock, Stickles, Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
I thought it was an appropriate invitation for a ghostly party~
It was fun to make too.
I loved this Core'donations cardstock, when I filed it down
it made it look like actual aged stone. So fun!

*Quick chicken update*
Another picture of eggs, this one had special note,
one of our chickens has taken to laying more blu-ish then green-ish eggs,
very pretty, I love seeing them in the morning.
The chickens now lay from 7/8 to 10 eggs daily, plenty for our family
and a few extra for the neighbors. It hit me last week
when I was outside gathering eggs and my bowl was full...
"We are really doing this, the cycle of life in our backyard"
It was a great feeling, and I love not buying eggs anymore.
I also love the diverse colors and waking to the clucking.

Now our neighbors...not so much LOL they hate it, but it's our property
so they don't really have a say. I get to hear their music and parties
they can listen to my hens *smile*

BIG week ahead!
Tomorrow : GYPSY GIVEAWAY!!!!!!
Tuesday : SPECIAL GUEST BLOGGER
Wednesday: I WAS INTERVIEW :) *link will be posted*
I am so excited about this interview!

Big week! Do NOT forget to enter for the second Gypsy! :)

~Gypsy WINNER!!!!!!~

Good morning!!!!!!! It is an EXCITING DAY TODAY!!!
Today the WINNER for the Cricut Gypsy is announced!

But before I get to that....hehehe
I had to share another Halloween project with y'all!

This is a Halloween Mask made using my Cricut,
my i-rock, denim, and Mod Podge. Fun right?
I used My Cricut to cut "peacock" feathers but I embellished
them with the i-rock and made it very ghoulish instead.
I blinged this baby out! I must have spent 1 hour just
i-rockin' these studs on LOL
I wanted it to last so I sealed the Jack O Lantern with Modge Podge and
used Extreme Glitter Paint on the edges to make it pop.
I am thinking I might out a ribbon in it and hang it
(like I don't have enough Halloween wall hangings LOL)

Ok Ok....I know no one cares about projects today...
You all came over to see who won this amazing Provocraft GIVEAWAY!

I put all the names into Random.org and here is the winner of

~Monday?? Already? New favorite technique & Giveaway too!~

Good morning, can you believe it is Monday already?
I feel like this weekend shot past me.

I did work on a few projects but most of them are for
my DT work and won't be revealed for a while.

In the mean time I wanted to share my new
favorite technique with y'all.
I made this card using my Cricut Expression,
the Cindy Loo cartridge, Glossy Accents *Ranger*, PK Glitz Glitter,
and paint. But not just any paint!
I have discovered old gummy paint LOL
It is awesome! You can do it my way...or shortcut it.
My way is to use half a bottle of acrylic paint
then leave it for 4 months until it gets gummy
OR you can pour new paint onto a plate, add some
waterbased glue to it (the standard school kind)
let it set for 20 minutes or 1 hour, until it gets gummy
then spread it on your project.
For the best results I use my fingers.
I play with it like plaster. It leave great dimension without
the ugly shine. It will also crack beautifully if you
use a heat gun on it.
What do you think? Fun right?

Ok on to the giveaway, I have sitting here from CHA
2 SIGNED Tim Holtz Embossing Folders!
Yea that's right....Woot Woot!

And as of today we are at 724 followers.
I would love to hit 750 this week, my goal is 1000 by
December for Christmas, I hope anyways.

Come on guys help me out here!
Leave a comment, spread the word! :)
Just a little secret, I am working on getting a
Cricut to giveaway at 1000 followers! So it's going to be BIG! :)

~Creative Sunday is here....what are you doing?~

Morning! I am behind on blogging because I spent
all day yesterday sewing and spending time with
the family. It was a nice day I even made an
old fashioned fried potato, ham, eggs, & toast dinner!

Ok a few things now...
First of all I received my UNIBIND!!!!! WOOT!
I am excited to get started. I have a project half finished.

Secondly I dug out this Ruby Rock It paper
and I used my Helmar Craft Glue to Glitter the cut
side to make it pop.
Now I am going to make my layout (hopefully today after baseball)
I also spent yesterday playing with my Cricut Expression
and my Hello Kitty Cartridge!
Isn't she cute?? I of course glittered her up. :)
It's not Hello Kitty without some glitter.
I don't know if you can see but I used white SHIMMER paper on her face.
Here is a top I made in 1X for a customer.
I love this turquoise fabric.
And yet another dress I made yesterday for an order.
It's a beautiful fall orange.
It's been a great week full of crafting and sewing.
Today is going to be a great day of baseball WOOHOO!
Let's hope we win LOL

What are you doing this weekend?
Is this a lazy Sunday or a busy one for ya? :)

~Have a great day y'all!~

~Monday already?? I feel scrappy! *Winner*~

Hey y'all, morning!
I was up nice and early this morning getting
the boys ready for school. My little one
wanted me to walk him in because it is a new
school. He has an older teacher and I hope she
is kind and sweet like Miss Hollandsworth
*his teacher last year*

Momma's nerves are a little rattled this morning
just from seeing them off to the first full day. :)

I did get home in time to work some more
on a new project. It is completely done, I just
need to bind it together and put some finishing
touches on before I photograph it entirely.
Here is the front.
It is mostly Basic Grey papers because
that is what Clear Scraps gave us to use.
I also used my French Manor Cricut cartridge
I am in LOVE with that dang cartridge!
Especially the Dress Form~! OOh La La!!
This year I have really found my love for
mini albums, they are so fun!
I have no idea what I am going to do with them though,
they just sit here looking pretty! LOL
This is the FIRST acylic album I have covered
the acrylic mostly. Usually I leave quite a bit exposed.
I hope it looks good when I finish it off.

Anyways one to the ZVA BAG WINNER!!!!

I love either bag :) Thanks for all the awesome giveaways!

I think I might actually be caught up on mailing EXCEPT
for Karen's package.

Today I am running around a little
and pondering a nap...I think I should begin
a tradition in our house...called
"mommy napping on the first full day of school" LOL

Anyways, have a great day y'all!

~Tuesday is for creating....*I think*~

Good morning my friends,
it looks to be a wonderful day *I hope* LOL

Yesterday I had the most wonderful surprise in the mail.
From Canada with no NAME??!!It was a Keeping Chickens book and
I love it so much. We had looked for books in the library
but they are all out and have been since we
began. To whomever surprised me with this book...
THANK YOU!!!!!

I was making aprons yesterday and I wanted to share
but my battery for my camera went dead,
so I guess it will keep until tomorrow :)

Meanwhile I did finish my wall hanging
with the new Imaginisce Apple Cider Line.
This week I had some Cricut cartridges sent to me and
the Sentimentals was in the pack. I knew right away
that I wanted OWLS on the hanging.
Now I feel like it is complete.
OK I am off to play with the boys today...
I have a couple dresses to finish, and an apron to
photograph. But the boys need mom today!!

~Have a wonderful day~
~Thank you for stopping by and saying hi~
I sit down every night and read the comments....
thank you all

~Yea, it's Friday!!~

Happy Friday everyone!!!!
I am so happy the weekend is sliding in to play.

I am ready for some down time this weekend.
Some weeks you feel like you run all week with no
end in sight....

I have one more Apple Cider project I made
this week. I wanted to make a wall hanging for Fall.
So I grabbed the Apple Cider collection, the irock,
my Helmar 450 Quick Dry, and my Cricut.I used the Home Decor cartridge and cut the frame around the
clear panel that says "GIVE THANKS"
I like it but I feel like I want to add something,
maybe a bird or something, not sure yet...
so this will go into my "work in progress" file LOL

You know I just realized I have not made a video
in forever! Man things are slipping into the cracks
with my boys home all summer.
I guess I am ready for them to go back.
I have not had an alone day in a long time LOL

OK, I am off to sew today...and track down
a new sewing pedal. I am so upset...last night my sewing
pedal *which has always given me problems* BROKE!!
I was in tears...I sew every single day.
Today I have to track one down and order it.

~Happy Friday, and have a great day~

~Blog hopping fun and more card making....

Good morning all you multi-talented crafters out there.
Happy SUMMER! It is so hot this week in TN.
We have had a heat index anywhere from 100 to 114.

Yesterday I posted about the Clear Scraps Blog Hop
HERE
It is a SCAVENGER HUNT Blog Hop
and the question about me is on my chickens
I thought I would give you a clue.
The post on my chickens is just a few posts down :)

Since I received my Cricut Expression I've been playing
alot with it and it's official, I LOVE my Cricut! Here is another card I made this week
using my Cricut and the Accent Essentials Cartridge
that came with it.
And of course my handy dandy Helmar ZAPDOTS! hehe
You didn't think I would make a card without the Helmar did ya?
The card is simple I know but I cannot seem to get past the
simple cards. Any suggestions for me on making fancy
elegant cards?? I get stumped and stick with simple.
Not sure why?

Don't get me wrong I like the card and the little girl
I gave it to loved it (well her mom did LOL)
But I want to make fancy cards!

Ok one more thing....it's official!
I am going to SUMMER CHA in Chicago!!!!
I am so excited, hubby took the time off work yesterday and
we are booking the tickets this week!
So look for me, I will be there from Monday to Thursday.
I hope to see you there!!!!!
I will be at the Helmar booth of course, and
I think guest DT spot at the Imaginisce booth.
And possibly at the Clear Scraps booth as well.

Now, I am off to clean, bake and try to stay cool today.
These boys, I love them so much but they are driving me
batty! LOL Let's hope it cools next week!

~Thanks for popping by, I love seeing your comments,
I smile every time!~

~Crafty new adventures...SVG files! Yea...new Cricut fun!~

Good morning my lovely online friends,
I am so excited about my new Cricut and even more excited to begin
creating new cutting files!
Today I have a few things to share,
one being a new card I made with the Pens from Cri-Kit!
WOOHOO!~ They are so much fun.
So I cut this card using my Cricut, then I used the Metallic pens to write
the Happy Easter, then I glittered inside the letters.
Basically it's like having a very cool stamp in 100's of shapes!
Of course I used my Helmar 450 on the ruffle
and the Zapdots on the butterflies. I am all about dimension this week!I love these pens!
Stay tuned all this week and next, I have some pens to giveaway
and more Giveaways coming!

The next is my very first SVG files!
If you click on the picture you can download and use them.Later on I will make a separate page for SVG files, I am just sharing today.
Shaped Paper
Film Strip Frame
I hope you let people know I am now making SVG files! :)
I am going to have fun making them I am sure of it!

That's all for me today, I have to plan for the kids on Easter,
and plant some Hyacinths today (thanks to a friend).
I am going to line the front porch with them! YEA!

~Have a beautiful day~
~Thank you for stopping by to say hey~

Don't forget tomorrow I will have the paper pad WINNER
and hopefully a NEW giveaway on!
Tell your friends about the SVG files :)
