Baseball Fun With Xyron And DCVW

Hey my friends, HAPPY FRIDAY!
First of all wanted to take just a second to thank you all for the supportive
emails from those special moms out there. They held me high! :)

Anyways onto the crafts....as you know I am designing with Xyron and they are
doing a wonderful cross promo with DCVW this week!!
I was the lucky recipient of the DCVW Ultimate Sports Stack.

So I decided to create a baseball layout and card combo!

Perfect for my boys and their baseball.
I used the NEW Xyron 3" Sticker Maker, and of course the Xyron® Mega Runner .
These pennants ran through the Sticker Maker perfectly!

I also used a sheet of Clear Scraps acrylic as the base- and painted the edges black.

EVERYTHING you see is DCVW and Xyron! The perfect pairing for sure.

~Farm Life- Chickens...and More!~

Good morning and happy Monday my friends,
I spent the weekend with friends and working on my new classes plus
setting these boys to work on new NESTING BOXES! :)

Before I share that I thought I would share a couple of garden photos
I know many of you have emailed and asked me about it.
It's coming along fine- late but very well due to the more normal temps
instead of scathingly hot like usual.
Great zucchini coming in. I personally cannot wait.

We have had two dinner with green beans and everything else is getting ready.
Here are the girls- a little miffed hubby is putting in new nesting boxes-

And rogue loner chicken who hates being in the super huge massive
coop area- I mean seriously what is this chickens deal??
Our chicken have a MASSIVE green yard! LOL
And the new 5 gallon bucket nests not quite done but getting there.
This is supposed to prevent the eggs form being pooped on constantly.
I am tired of them pooping in their nests at night so I hope this resolves it a little.
Anyways that and Monsters University at the drive in with friends
makes for a lovely weekend. I am so blessed with beautiful people in my life!

Anyways this is what I was working on this weekend- the finishing touches to
my Stamp and Scrap class but also this new Christmas In July class
Christmas Garland/Card Hanger class! :)
Coming shortly so stay tuned!!!!
And just in case you missed it- here is the Stamp and Scrap link-

Well that's it for me today- we have another
"Autism" appointment today so I am off like a bee!
Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!!!

Stamp & Scrap Class w/ Avocado Arts!!

Hey there crafty friends,
I am super excited about a brand new online class I am teaching.
My Creative Classroom is hosting this class- I will be teaching
ways to use stamps outside of the card making realm-
We will be creating 3 separate layouts and use 3 different techniques for
stretching those stamps! I am very excited!!! :)

This is the first lesson layout and we will be creating two more-
This one focuses on background patterns but can be applied to many stamps!
This is just the beginning- there are 2 more layouts and more techniques! :)
See you there I hope!!!

~Scrapbooking: What It Means To Me- Headed Forward And Looking Back~

Good morning friends,

When I first became a scrapbooker it was a HUGE no no
to scrapbook the pain, abuse, guilt, and anything not pretty in life.
Of course not being one to follow protocol I basically gave the finger to
everyone who told me my work was not good enough and too taboo
and scrapbooked whatever was in my mind.

It was the single best move for therapy in my life I can think of.
That behind writing a "book" of all my memories of abuse and
sending it to everyone I knew so I would not hide behind those secrets anymore.

These pages brought back many memories so I thought
I would share with you today instead of my normal new projects. :)
I was cleaning up my computer this week and ran across these
old layouts from 2011.

This was a layout about the book I wrote purging myself of my abuse.

And this was a layout to remember I am in fact strong and it's ok to
be a little crazy too! LOL The whole layout sort of is ME.

The words seen here "It's never really safe to be nostalgic about something
until you're absolutely sure there's no chance of it coming back" was a
constant reminder to myself that it's ok to look back at your family and the
life you had- because there is no chance of it coming back...I am surrounded by
good now and all that pain and abuse is behind me....it's ok to look back but don't get
sucked back into that revolving door of pain.

I am super thankful for what scrapbooking has done for my life.
Thas is scrapbooking to me!

~Sewing On Layouts~

Good morning crafty friends,
Boy it's been a sick week in our house, the cold/cough has
passed like fire form person to person. I am slow to post this week.

Anyways, had a lovely anniversary on Saturday, spent the day with
the boys then Sunday with friends.

Wanted to share one of my very last projects from Scraptastic Club with you.
A layout of hubs and I. I really went crazy with stitching on this one.

It really never gets old, sewing with my machine on layouts!
Happy Wednesday my friends,
hope to see you tomorrow! :)

~Holiday Layout Fun~

Good morning my crafty friends,
Oh have I been blog slacking or what? I think these holiday
get togethers just throw my crafting into a tizzy~ :)

We have a lovely weekend with friends and I had a sick little man on Monday,
then Game night with the girls after....BUT in between that I did sit
down to create this layout using the new All Of The Lights Kit
I know it is not traditional Christmas kit, but who says you can't make it a
Christmas kit if you want to? Not me! :)
I love the colors and the feel of it...it's a fun time!
I think the snowflakes add a fun touch, I used the white cardstock
from the add-on to make them and used a lot of glitter!!

Ok now I am off to do some last minute Christmas shopping, we have
family coming next week and a Christmas Party happening this weekend!
So very grateful for amazing holiday get togethers and friends who make
our lives that much sweeter!! :)

Happy Holidays my friends~

~Sweet Sunshine Layout How To~

Morning my crafty friends,

I have a fun sunshine layout to share today.....
I made this for my friend Jennifer. I have been working on her
beach photos for a while now.

Check out this fun- casual crinkly sun.
I just hand cut the circle all wonky~
And used Clearsnap Scentz embossing powder
Then I crinkled it all up with my hands and stitched the rays on.
I used journaling cards make the perfect "faux" Polaroid photo too!
I hope you enjoyed my "sunny" layout today!
Happy Thursday!!!!
