When You Miss A Friend....

Hey there friends, it is Tuesday and now that Valentine's Day
is gone and winter is beginning to wind down it's been that time
to settle down and gear up for spring.
I have missed a friend who has moved away recently so I thought
it was a wonderful time to make her a card.
I HAD to make it for my friend who has stood by me for so many
years and I miss. Of course when I get to making a card I automatically
reach for my Xyron Tape Runner and I thought this
Carta Bella Giddy Up paper was a perfect fit for us.
I layered the sentiment that I stamped using the
I used my Xyron Adhesive Dots, I stacked them up 2 dots high to add
a little dimension without making the card too bulky.
I also used the dots to adhere the button. (Blumenthal Lansing).
I love the end result, yes it will probably take 2 stamps due to the button
but I don't care I had to have it! :)
I am sending good wishes to my friends today and
telling everyone to stop your day, make a card, ship it off.
JUST BECAUSE it's a great day to send some love to someone special!

Happy Tuesday friends.

Oh Mini- How I Love A MINI MINI

Good morning, Happy Tuesday friends.

Now how much fun is a MINI mini album? I mean Keychain sized album?
Umm the answer is THE BEST THING EVER!
I just love that the Creating Made Easy August 2013 kit included
this adorable MINI mini keychain album- it is PRECIOUS!
Perfect as a gift for my girlfriend who is moving away.
I literally just trimmed and cropped photos to focus on the main subject.
It was a fun project to make.
EVERYTHING in this kit was crazy balls fun.
How will you create with your kit?

That's it for me today- I am off to create some more!

Have a beautiful day my friends.

~Hi...I'm Here For You~

Hey there happy Thursday my friends,

Oh I am in love with the Avocado Arts stamp set this month
especially the "I'm Here For You" sentiment- such a great sentiment for
this time of year and any time your friends need you.
Sometimes I think I am the luckiest gal in the world with such
amazing friends who are so genuine and loving.
I have such great kids in my life too- such a blessing.
I took a little time out this week for the family.
In the midst of Gage's Autism appointments and testing
we took some park time and swimming time.
This has been such a hard week with hubby in the ER- Gage in
his testing and so much anxiety. It's nice to reflect on how amazingly
blessed our family is to have those who care and support us!

Have a wonderful day  my friends~ :)

~Are We There Yet w/ Avocado Arts!~

Good morning and a very happy Saturday to you!

I am excited about the newest stamp set from Avocado Arts-
Are We There Yet- I mean how amazeballs are these?? I love them!

I have three projects to share today!!
For this card I stamped the sign image twice and cut out the arrows then
carefully stamped the I'm Here For You sentiment on each arrow individually.
It might look like a clean and simple card but it took time with all the taping
and stamping to get them in each arrow LOL
BUT I love the end result!!
This is the actual stamp set:
LOVE it so hard!

I created this more vintage style card in which I embossed the trailer
itself with copper kettle embossing powder.
For this card I used some travel papers I had in my stash
and stamped 6 suitcases- then cut out the middle and inserted the
striped paper- I love that so much! :)
I popped the suitcases up with foam pop dots.
I usually use the digital die cuts but this time I did not-
BUT each stamp set comes with them that is a great bonus!

So those are my card projects and I wanted to remind you....

I am super excited to be teaching 3 individual layouts in this
class with 3 techniques plus bonus techniques! :)

~Love Always~

Good morning my friends,
What a week so far- sick kids, distressing news, baseball tournament...go
go and go some more but in the middle of it all my husband's strong
shoulder to lay on...al always...
This Bubble Frame was completely inspired by him and our relationship.
When life throws you curve balls you always need love...
I used the amazing Purple Cows Punches for these roses and some
beautiful Webster's Pages and Colorbox White inks.
A Globecraft Memories Bubble Frame and just relaxed and created.
I think I will put it right above my bed to remind me to breathe.
And I always have love...more than I deserve and incredible people in my life.

Happy Friday friends! :)

~Scrapbooking: What It Means To Me- Headed Forward And Looking Back~

Good morning friends,

When I first became a scrapbooker it was a HUGE no no
to scrapbook the pain, abuse, guilt, and anything not pretty in life.
Of course not being one to follow protocol I basically gave the finger to
everyone who told me my work was not good enough and too taboo
and scrapbooked whatever was in my mind.

It was the single best move for therapy in my life I can think of.
That behind writing a "book" of all my memories of abuse and
sending it to everyone I knew so I would not hide behind those secrets anymore.

These pages brought back many memories so I thought
I would share with you today instead of my normal new projects. :)
I was cleaning up my computer this week and ran across these
old layouts from 2011.

This was a layout about the book I wrote purging myself of my abuse.

And this was a layout to remember I am in fact strong and it's ok to
be a little crazy too! LOL The whole layout sort of is ME.

The words seen here "It's never really safe to be nostalgic about something
until you're absolutely sure there's no chance of it coming back" was a
constant reminder to myself that it's ok to look back at your family and the
life you had- because there is no chance of it coming back...I am surrounded by
good now and all that pain and abuse is behind me....it's ok to look back but don't get
sucked back into that revolving door of pain.

I am super thankful for what scrapbooking has done for my life.
Thas is scrapbooking to me!
