What The Cluck??!!

Good morning crafty friends,
I am laughing this morning because of this card-
I HAD to make it, I have been saving it for a while now and
decided it was perfect for my gf's birthday. I mean she is turning the BIG 3-0!
Honestly I could not hep but make a FUNNY and fun card
and I knew I had this Kanban Crafts Wobbler (out of business now)
- and I could NOT resist.
Everything was sweet and nice except this! LOL
I printed and added the sentiments.
And of course I had to add the sentiment inside because my friend insisted
(ok she really just suggested it and I flew away with it).
I added the BIG 3-0 to the eggs because let's face it. It's FRACKIN hilarious!
Anyways it totally made her laugh so mission accomplished! LOL
I used the beautiful Ribbon's Unlimited ribbon to jazz it up and my Xyron to
adhere to pieces. All fun stuff! :)
The eggs are where I put her age...I am just happy she had a giggle! :)

Anyways Happy Tuesday- off to create!

Kindness in Crafting and Blessings in Life~

Good morning friends,
I sat down this weekend after a baptism I attended and was
digging through old supplies from companies I worked for in the past
I was feeling soft and nostalgic and ran across this Kanban goodness.
I decided to make this card.
When I begin crafting I ran across amazingly KIND people and I ran
across amazingly CRUEL people- some that welcomed me with open arms
and some that ridiculed and were beyond mean to me.
I think it really shaped the kind of crafter I wanted to be.
Always understanding and uplifting of others no matter how small the project
or how new the crafter. You know it all comes from the heart and it inspired me
to make this card. One simple word that means so much- KINDNESS.
When I see projects I just see the love and joy in the hands-
sometimes it doesn't have to be on the cover of the next magazine
that is dying out- sometimes it's just that small touch and smile when you
open it up and see that someone took the time to make it...
just for YOU. I would encourage you to leave some kindness today.
This card is going to be left at my local library for a stranger to find and use.

I also snapped a couple photos of a real southern baptism we
attended this weekend of my friend Melody's and Daniels son.
Never been to a river baptism- it was beautiful.
Anything with family- can't miss it.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday- full of kindness and love.
Thanks for stopping by my friends! :)

~Patriotic Crafty Mobile Using A BRANCH!~

Good morning!!! Can you believe it is July 1st? I am blown
away at how fast this year has flown by!

Spent the weekend with my sweet friends and had a good time.
Also spent the weekend in CREATION mode!

Since it is the 1st you know it's time for the Creating Made Easy Kit REVEAL!

Here is my first project using the kit- a patriotic branch
mobile/wall decor! I love it! :) Love this kit- it's amazing.

Everything is from the kit except the paint and the branch....
I am totally using this on my wall right now.
Love the acrylic stars, papers and embellishments in this kit!
Check it out! A HUGE VALUE!

~Chunky Rose Brooch And How To Make A Tie Dye Cake~

Hey there friends,
Happy Thursday once again- before I dive into the tie dye cake I
made yesterday I thought I would share the Connie Crystal Chunky Rose Brooch
TUTORIAL  that I created for CC! :) Full instructions! Just head to...
Here is a sneak peek...it's really fun!
Now I am by no means a  professional nor do I claim to be
and these photos are taken with  my phone because quite frankly
I was a hot mess yesterday and no time to get the real camera out
BUT so many have asked how I did this Tie Dye frosting I thought
I would put it out here because I could not find it online when
I went to find a how to:
This was my first attempt a few weeks ago...which I loved! :)
Full Cake: (GIANT sheet cake LOL)
And this was my quick and simple one this week...you
can tell I was in a hurry on this one BUT if you take time it will be amazing!
 Tie Dye Frosting-
Make your regular stiff buttercream frosting in white-
cover entire cake.
Freeze cake- does not have to be perfect- my first try was but
this one I was swamped LOL
With leftover buttercream frosting- thin slightly with water
and I mean SLIGHTLY separate into 3 or 4 bowls and color.
Put into piping bags with no tips- You can use tips but it didn't make a difference.
Freehand all 3/4 colors into swirl on cake-
I started on outside edge and worked my way in.
Now here is where you can go old school or use a fancy tool.
I used a butter-knife and a bowl to gently press
frosting working my way from outside to inside.
Oops forgot to use the smooth side! Hey I am far from perfect! LOL
Just ask all the haters! :)
Using a toothpick- or 2....
Start in center and drag your way out.
I haven't figured out to keep the center perfect YET...
Mix a couple colors together lightly in bowl. Use spatula or knife
to apply to sides of the cake.
 Decorate! :)
Yes it probably belongs on Cake Wrecks but I mean
come on I have 3 kids and I only had an hour---it's not that bad
quit laughing! LOL
So go make it amazing and perfect! Then share with me! :)

I am off to craft...have a beautiful day!
