~Globe Sun Catcher With Sheer Ribbon~

 It's finally Friday-
what a long week so far, thankful today it's almost over!

We have been fighting for over a year now to get my son
diagnosed and it's been a long battle this week. Anyways...on to
more pleasant craftiness (what I am best at).

I created this vintage style globe sun catcher using Ribbons Unlimited
Sheer ribbon- you know I am a new design team member over there
and I honestly LOVE IT! Be sure to check out the instructions
on their blog and their pages.
I also used Clearsnap copper inks and a Connie Crystal suncatcher.
I got these dictionary pages from some place and damned if
I can remember the name! It's driving me crazy!
Anyways hope you have a wonderful weekend my friends.
Happy Friday to you all and thank you for stopping by!

**GIFT IDEAS** Don't Sew?? Easy Couture Apron For You!

Good morning my crafty friends,
I have a fun little project to share today, you know I craft with paper
and everything else but I also sew...but this is for all my friends
who don't sew! Or who don't sew very much. :)

These aprons make fantastic handmade gifts just in time for the holidays too!
All you need is 1 yard of fabric, a pre-made apron, ribbon, and embellishments.
I used Blumenthal Lansing buttons, ribbons, and ric rac.

I just went to Walmart and bought 3.00 a yard fabric.
Took my 2.99 apron. Take the apron and cut the ties off.
KEEP THEM and keep them sorted! LOL The neck and the two sides.

Now lay the apron FACE DOWN onto the fabric.
Trimmer the fabric around the apron, leaving about 1" all the way around.
Then I folded the fabric over the edges- pinning it. Then just stitched around the apron.
You could also use an iron on adhesive if you really don't sew at all.

Then I drew a line in pencil where I wanted to ric rac to sit.
I pinned the ric rac into it. I stitched it down but you could easily adhere
it with fabric adhesive, or just hand tack it down.

Take the ties you cut off earlier, cut ribbon to match the same lengths and
sew/tack the ribbons back on in the same spots as the ties.
Add flowers or whatever embellishment your heart desires!
That's it! A handmade apron, beautiful and perfect for any cook or crafter!

I just thought it would be a fun project to share with you all in time
for the holidays and just for kicks! MUAH!

~A Special Valentine's Day Project!

Good morning all you lovely, beautiful crafters!
How is your week going?

I FINALLY finished my big project yesterday, I had a heck
of a time with it too. I was wanting to dismantle a frame and
write or etch on the glass, but I don't have a cricut or anything
to etch or make big letters, so I came up with this!
When I have a couple minutes I will be sharing a tutorial on how
to make this very look on glass!
It was SO easy I don't know why I did not think of it earlier!
The heart is a simple foam heart from Michael's Craft store
with glass pebbles in the middle of each Lace Flower (from my earlier tutorial)
and plenty of tulle. Oh and of course a big old dose of Helmar glue!
I used the 450 Quick Dry for the lace flowers
and the Professional Acid Free Glue for the outside of the pebbles and the glitter.
The glitter I used is the AWESOME glitter from ClearSnaps!
Hello...if you have not tried ClearSnaps products, they are rocking my world lately!
Between the SMOOCH SPRITZ and the FINE GLITTER
I am in glitzy heaven!
That awesome scroll with the vine?? That is also Clearsnaps...
its called a DESIGN ADHESIVE!
OH lorday...makes this pink one swoon!, You can add flocking, glitter
whatever you want!
OK I promise to get the glass tutorial to you tomorrow or Sunday.
I am off to the school to volunteer today so no more time for chit chat!
Remember this is the LAST day to enter to win the
Purple Cows Mouse Cutting System RAK, so head back and check in :)

~Thank you for stopping by~
~Thanks for all the love and support~
