~Home from Kentucky, Happy Sunday my friends~

Good morning my crafty friends...
I am so happy to be home after this whirlwind trip to Kentucky!
We hit a washed out bridge and a 40 mile detour,
but made it safely and had a ball!

Everyone was so excited and kind in our class,
we had so much fun.
I promised everyone in class (all 200) that
I would take pictures and post the layouts we did
so they could make more, or finish theirs if they needed to.

This was the first layout.
We did 2 in class but Aymee and I made 4 copies
and it was a good thing because we walked that class 600 times
showing the examples.
Here is the one Aymee made and we shared.

Here is one version (double sided paper)
Here is the first version I madeAnd here is the second one with the other
side of patterned paper.

We had a stress free, no measuring class and
everyone laughed and talked the whole time!

Miss Aymee was amazing, we had a ball.
We left at 3am this morning for the airport and home.
I am worn out but happy and fulfilled.

Thank you everyone from Scrapbook Village for bringing
CLOTHING DONATIONS for the flood victims.

I came home with a carload FULL of donations.
Thank you Imaginisce who so generously donated all the supplies
and Purple Cows who made it all possible.
Good people I tell ya!

Now after I unpack I just might have a couple kits left to GIVEAWAY
so let me get unpacked and come to my senses and I will
see what I have left tomorrow for a RAK! :)

~Thanks for popping by~
~Have a great Sunday~

~Hump day excitement....another free SVG & chicken NEWS!~

Good morning my crafty friends,
I had to take a quick break from blogging yesterday as my children
are sick and Dr. apps, all that not so fun "mom" stuff going on.

If I babble I am just tired this morning.
Ok what is going on with these chickens and what am I up to?
Wellll.....here they are...growing so fast...
I have CHICKEN NEWS!

It is official
We have FIVE yes FIVE roosters! LOL
Crazy huh? And yes Jeannie, one was a rooster and one was a hen out
of the orange and green chicks you gave us :)

We managed to get the chicken door on last week
And the chicken coop hatch,
we are debating on how to roof it still, tin or shingles?
Also we need to place the nesting boxes and perches inside, which will hopefully
be this weekend. Not sure yet, we have baseball, and company coming.
Next we will cover the outside with something (undecided just yet)
and paint it a blue color. I decided on this creamy blue OR yellow.
We did dig a sunflower patch in front for our neighbors , so they won't have to
see the chicken coop, BUT surprisingly....they came over and have
decided to raise chickens too!

I did find time to bake a fresh strawberry cake
It was a HUGE hit in the house! *yea*

And in between Dr appointments, I sat down
and chained myself to my sewing machine.
I found this summery blue animal print and people went crazy, so I
imagine I will spend today sewing :)
I finished this swimdress top
And this pretty red top from fabric sent to me by a customer.
It has been a BUSY week but a good one.
Sorry no scrap goodness to share.
I have been scrapbooking with the May SFTIO kit!
HELLOOOOO beautiful kit!~

OK one more thing before a go this morning
a FREE SVG file for you Cricut babies! :)
And I wanted to point out something to you SVG users.
ALL of my files are HIGH quality, not the lower quality files that shake.
So they work well with pens and all that.

Click on butterfly to download

~Alrighty then, I am off to the Dr~
~Thank you for popping by~
~Have a great Wednesday~

~Playing with my SVG files, Cri-kit Pens, and Helmar V2 *FREE SVG for Pens!*~

Good morning!

Before I start there is a GIVEAWAY on Imaginisce TODAY!
HERE!

OK on to fun stuff
The only project I had time to work on this weekend was this
FUN make your own patterned paper project.
I am going to use this for a special project.
You might recognize the buttery from an earlier FREE SVG file
you can find HERE

I used a plain piece of cardstock (thanks hubby)
You can see it is textured and the Cri-kit Pens (Metallic) worked great on it.
I drew my shape on the paper with my Cricut, keeping the file open
on my SCAL for cutting the same size after.
I took a spare piece of scrapbook paper and cut out the butterfly with my Cricut.
Then I took the Helmar V2 (because it is re positionable) and I sprayed the back of
my cut paper and layed it OVER the cardstock with the drawn butterfly.
Next I took my Smooch Spritz (which totally rocks) and dries quicker than
some sprays, and I sprayed it over the masked cardstock.Looks how shimmery and shiny it is in person! OOooHH AahhhhHH Shiny LOL
I was thinking of making a Red, White & Blue baseball schedule clipboard.

Anyways, these pens are so much fun! I have hundreds of ideas in this crazy head.

Here is a FREE SVG especially made for Cri-Kit Pens!
(Or any pens for your Cricut)
Easy to draw and single lines.
I checked it out myself on paper and it works! :)
Just click the picture to download.
That's it for me today, I am working on a Spring Wreath this week
for Purple Cows and some new Imaginisce projects too!
It is going to be a great week.

We are BBQ-ing hot dogs tonight and the boys are so excited haha

~Have a great Monday~
~THANK YOU every single one of you for stopping by~

~The Snooky-Poo & Fiska-Peep SHOW!~

Evening my crazy fun crafty friends,
I am chuckling in my room tonight.

I just got back from an amazing weekend with some amazingly
generous and sweet crafters.

Many of you know that I drove to West Virginia this weekend in order to
attend a charity crop for Lupus.
What an amazing cause and what an amazing group of crafters I met
this weekend. I don't think that people who don't scrap really understand
how genuinely heartfelt and generous that the scrapbooking/crafting
community can be. Honestly this crop was a joint effort
of all the girls in West Virginia, and Fiskateers combined, from the home made food
to the handmade, bought, and all donated charity auctions.

I will be sharing through the week but tonight before I headed to bed
I wanted to share the "Great Chicken Run" story and introduce you to

Snooky-Poo and the Fiska-Peeps!Let me share the story behind the name (hehe)
Yesterday the sweetest Fiskateer JEANNIE came up to me
and she said "Pinky, I have something special for you!!" as she brought over
a white cardboard box. Here is sweet Jeannie and the famous Rebecca! :)
Hope you don't mind ladies, but your both my friends and I cannot resist!
And honest to gawd I had no idea what in the world
she had in the box (chicks were the furthest thing from my mind! LOL)
She opens that box and the CUTEST most adorable chicks were inside!!!

I want to introduce you to Fiska-Cheep and Fiska-Chirp
I was overwhelmed and it touched my heart so much, that #1 she knew
I was raising chicks and it was an exciting new venture, and #2 this woman
took the time and went to the trouble to get me chicks, FEED, and a watering
dish too! How sweet is that? I was just blown away!!!
But then it hit me..."what in the world will I do with the chicks tonight?
I am staying in a hotel!" LOL That is when the fun began!
We checked in to the hotel and I kept trying to figure out how
I was going to explain a cheeping box to the check-in chick
(she was so lovely I probably could have told her outright)
But we went REBEL on this trip because that's how PINKY ROLLS! bwhahaha

We checked in and she directs us to our room, and how lucky
are we?? We are by the back door WAAAYYY down the hall
perfect for the "Chicken Run", so I park at the second door
and start unloading and sneak those peepers in
saying "SHHHHH fiska-peeps" the whole time...
which BTW just so you know (in case you wondered) Shhh Shing chicks??
Yea, it does NOT work LOL They cheep louder I think.

I set them up in the bathroom with their food and a lamp.
Later that night we were chatting with Rebecca and looking at the
Fiskateer pictures from the crop and we ran across the picture above
(the chicks and I) I don't know if it was the exhaustion setting in
but we were DYING laughing about sneaking those chicks in and
how my hair looked...I told Rebecca "I look Snooky-fied!"
If you don't know what that means there was a silly reality show
called Jersey Shore and it was a big hit this is Snookie
She always wears her heair in a bufont style and the first picture
I saw of myself it reminded me of that...
so Rebecca said "It's Snooky-POO and her Fiska-Peeps!!" hehehe
and then we named the chicks Fiska-Cheep and Fiska-Chirp.
We were hysterically laughing and it was so much fun!

Silly I know I know...thanks for bearing with me, I really am
exhausted tonight LOL Maybe you won't find it funny,
but you have to admit these chicks are so gosh darn cute, it was
wroth stopping by! LOL
I had a great time!
Maxine from Scrapbook Page in WV was amazing, she brought
tears to all of our eyes as she passionately spoke about Lupus.
They raised over 3400.00 to donate and it was WELL WORTH the drive
over and meeting people I had never met was wonderful!
Maxine and Rebecca

I hope to go back again and visit the girls, what a great group of
crafters, and what a welcoming bunch!
I will see y'all tomorrow, back to your regularly scheduled blogging.
(I might be a little late though)
Have a blessed evening,
~Thanks for sharing in my adventure~

~A Special Valentine's Day Project!

Good morning all you lovely, beautiful crafters!
How is your week going?

I FINALLY finished my big project yesterday, I had a heck
of a time with it too. I was wanting to dismantle a frame and
write or etch on the glass, but I don't have a cricut or anything
to etch or make big letters, so I came up with this!
When I have a couple minutes I will be sharing a tutorial on how
to make this very look on glass!
It was SO easy I don't know why I did not think of it earlier!
The heart is a simple foam heart from Michael's Craft store
with glass pebbles in the middle of each Lace Flower (from my earlier tutorial)
and plenty of tulle. Oh and of course a big old dose of Helmar glue!
I used the 450 Quick Dry for the lace flowers
and the Professional Acid Free Glue for the outside of the pebbles and the glitter.
The glitter I used is the AWESOME glitter from ClearSnaps!
Hello...if you have not tried ClearSnaps products, they are rocking my world lately!
Between the SMOOCH SPRITZ and the FINE GLITTER
I am in glitzy heaven!
That awesome scroll with the vine?? That is also Clearsnaps...
its called a DESIGN ADHESIVE!
OH lorday...makes this pink one swoon!, You can add flocking, glitter
whatever you want!
OK I promise to get the glass tutorial to you tomorrow or Sunday.
I am off to the school to volunteer today so no more time for chit chat!
Remember this is the LAST day to enter to win the
Purple Cows Mouse Cutting System RAK, so head back and check in :)

~Thank you for stopping by~
~Thanks for all the love and support~
