Beautiful Laugh, You Lift Me Up...Mixed Media

Hey there hump day buddies! :)
I have been delving more into mixed media lately and decided to create a
hanging using some modeling paste and a Clear Scraps Wing page from the album.
If you head to the CS blog today there is actually a step by step instruction set! :)
 I absolutely love this!
The photo of Justice laughing makes my heart melt! Go check out the instructions :)
Have a great day friends.

Memories Display Plate

Well it's already Tuesday and I have 2 sick boys...
I had a feeling with how much we were gone this weekend...

For the March Kit it came with a beautiful Acrylic Circle Album
which I took one page off to make a "Display Plate"
I was going through old photos and found these of my boys...
It was when they were TINY babies and I wanted to display
them in my living room so I created a plate.
This kit was incredible!

Art Is Heart Acrylic Mixed Media Clipboard

Hello friends, and welcome Monday (not really LOL)

I have a fun NEW CHA release to share again, a brand new
Clear Scraps Acrylic Clipboard that I turned into a Mixed Media Art piece
for my crafting room. Really I just wanted to experiment with some
mediums with the Mascils.
So I found out that if you want to use water based acrylic crackle paint
which I use reg acrylic paint on acrylic all the time no problem but the
crackle paint flies off into a million pieces, so you have to seal it when you put it on WET,
then I added more paint because of all the flaking, but in the end
I love it! :)
I did the Bokeh with the Krylon spray paints again only this time I
did it all on the back in layers! :)
Then added the texture to the front and embellishments.
It's girl and love-y like me...
I love art and everyone who creates it is just beautiful working with
their hands and creativity, so it's all good people!!!

Welcome Monday! :)

Up To No Good!

Hey there again!
I had so much fun with my mini album from last week I decided to take this
old book box I had from Michaels on clearance for .50 and make a project
using the leftovers from my Xyron, DCVW goodness.
I love how it turned out, no lie I am obsessed with coral lately! :)
And the coordinating burlap and corrugated paper from DCVW just makes me smile.
I added some Blumenthal Lansing buttons over the corrugated paper.
I really just had fun with it all!

Quick Quotes Wings......Believe

Good morning again friends and welcome to another lovely Quick Quotes project!
I am excited to share this wall hanging I created for a friend who has a
beautiful beach house and I thought it would be fun to make a handmade house
warming gift for her and her family.
The Serendipity 300 papers were so gorgeous I had to use them.
I ran the chipboard wings through my Xyron and covered them with
Serendipity 300 trimming off all the edges.
Then I added the gemstones and crystals.
I hot glued the wings together.
After that I added the Calypso 500 page to cut out the
Achieve, Dream, Imagine, Believe.
Then I added the ribbons and flowers for that soft beachy feel.
This paper is stunning in person and make's a beautiful project!
I have so enjoyed being the guest designer for QQ and hope you enjoyed my quirky
sense of style and creativity.
Until next time- Keep on creating!

YES! Teresa Collins-CardMaker Xyron Blog Hop~

Hey there friends, it's time for another Xyron Blog Hop!
This time it is Teresa Collins/Cardmaker/Xyron fun and I created
an altered box using the Teresa Collins Xyron Adhesive Kit.
I love the huge wings on the box. :)
1. Run chipboard wings through 9" Xyron Creative Station.
 2. Lay sticky side onto Teresa Collins Patterned paper.
3. Trim out with scissors and blade.
5. Empty box- spray paint in coral.
6. Adhere wings to top of box.
7.  Using Teresa Collins You Are My Happy Papers create spiral flowers.

9. Trim out journaling cards and letters to create "She has Wings" quote.
10. Use  Xyron Adhesive Dots to adhere card and letters.
11. Add gold glitter paper strip to front and sides.
This is the finished box and I can't wait to fill it and give it away.

Be sure to check out the Xyron Facebook and blog for the giveaway and
other awesome projects! :)

Quick Quotes Guest DT Project!!

Good morning friends, I am excited to be the Guest Designer for Quick Quotes
this month and very excited to share this fun project with you.

A Sun Catcher I created using the Calypso line of paper and embellishments.
And I do have a step by step tutorial as well!
Using an acrylic flourish (Clear Scraps) coat in Sail Boat Blue Alcohol ink.
bird, and press into place.
Adhere to bird- and tie coordinating color ribbon through top/
Using Xyron adhesive dots- Roll and attach flourish to bird as shown.

Add more Calypso Chipboard Die Cuts over the flourish.
Thread Crystal Sun Catcher through bottom of bird.
Add rhinestone accents on both sides.

Now you have an amazing Sun Catcher that will shine in your window all spring!
I hope you enjoyed my project today.
Until next time- Keep on creating!!

Art...Pinky Style That Is...

Hey there!
It's Monday and I am in my craft room but before I share my projects
from this week, I wanted to share a project I created a couple weeks ago.
This canvas I altered.
For the canvas itself I spray painted it with Krylon Gold paint.
Then I painted over it using the Clear Scraps Spiral Dots mascil
with pink Krylon paint- I know it sounds like an odd combo but I love it.
Then I took some paper and my Xyron Adhesive Dots, and I created all
these flowers. They are Samantha Walker Cuts- with my Cameo.
(The butterflies too!).
After that I glittered the Clear Scraps Frame, used my Xyron Teresa Collins
Adhesive Kit to adhere the glitter.
Then I took my Connie Crystal strands and hot glued them on the canvas.
For the word ART I used Maya Road Chipboard and I inked it with
Clearsnap copper and Teal inks to make it look rusted.
Then when I was completely done I misted the project lightly
with gold and pink paints.

I love it. It was fun to make and very therapuetic!
Happy Monday friends! :)
