Sweet Face Of Autism Layout

This is my beautiful boy, I always scrap real life which
includes Autism on a daily basis.
I hope to spread awareness and show others there is no shame in Autism.
I still do love making layouts and I created
this one for the April issue of Scrap N' Art online magazine.

Do you know anyone with Autism? Do you have questions?
Ask away! :)

Handmade Gift Ideas

It's definitely that time of year, everyone gets busy and shops.
I love giving handmade gifts but finding the right handmade gift that will
be appreciated is not always easy.

Sometimes it is nice to go simple and sweet. This gift was for my friends
little boy, I thought as he learned his letters and names that he would
enjoy a book that has his family names with photos.
I made sure to use very strong adhesive and double checked every corner.
You know Clear Scraps albums are not flimsy in any way so I knew with care
it would stand up to a 2 yr olds shenanigans.
For this book I used the Clear Scraps Cassy Mixable Album.
Sturdy and easy to flip the pages.
I used big bold letters and DCVW papers.
I also used the Clear Scraps Mascils, with Gold Krylon spray paint.
I love these mascils.
I included the family dog of course.
Hopefully it's a keepsake he can use years from now.
Stay tuned this week for a sewing tutorial. Or maybe it's a what not to do tutorial?? LOL
Anyways happy Monday and Merry Christmas friends.

For All You Do Layered Card

 Morning friends,
I almost forgot to post this card I created for Gage's teacher.
I loved the SW digital cut file and wanted to make a card.
My son's teacher was who I wanted to create it for.
This card was actually featured on the SW blog
WITH a full tutorial of course! :)
 Check it out.
I used my Xyron, Blumenthal Lansing buttons, OH and Krylon paint!
I swear I am addicted.
The base paper is actually green- go see what I did, it's fun! :)

Chalk Card With Avocado Arts

This week I was up on Avocado Arts and I made this chalkboard card
which I inked in White StazOn to create a cool chalk effect.
I added tons of dimension and layering because I wanted
it to feel really handmade but also masculine.
Don't tell anyone I snuck in some green sequins! hahahaha

Up To No Good!

Hey there again!
I had so much fun with my mini album from last week I decided to take this
old book box I had from Michaels on clearance for .50 and make a project
using the leftovers from my Xyron, DCVW goodness.
I love how it turned out, no lie I am obsessed with coral lately! :)
And the coordinating burlap and corrugated paper from DCVW just makes me smile.
I added some Blumenthal Lansing buttons over the corrugated paper.
I really just had fun with it all!

Bright DCVW and Xyron FUN!

Hey there friends it's HUMP DAYYYYY!
Tonight I go pick up my in laws coming in from Oregon and before I did
that I wanted to share this fun mini album I created.
for a fun bright and cheery purse album and as EVERY project I used XYRON!
Here is the super cool paper pad I used-
So after I spray painted all the chip pages with spray paint (coral)
I started by trimming my Corrugated sheets in half.
Then using their cork paper to create a trim piece.
I used my Xyron Teresa Collins Adhesive kit to adhere these pieces.
I added some DCVW Burlap also in the bright colors.
I hand trimmed out some of the Chalk paper art
adhering it to the inside of the cover,
I used the Xyron Adhesive Dots to adhere the buttons and flowers.
Man those dots make my life easy!
I threaded each button then used the dots.
I cut out the little chalk word frames from the paper pad and
used them as photo mattes. Using my Xyron Mega Runner to
adhere them on each side.
Every page I used one. You can either add photos or use chalk on them.
super fun and interactive.
Then for the back I used the dots again to adhere to buttons.
Here are all the pages in the album.

When it was completed I added lace to tie it together.
I love making this bright and cheery album! LOVE the colors and love
that new coral spray paint.
