~Baseball Weekend & More Easter Card Fun!~

Happy Saturday my crafty friends!!!!!!

Yesterday we had our first baseball tournament and we won our first game!
I am so proud, I just had to share. This year we have an amazing coach that
genuinely cares about the kids learning to play the game and being a good
sport on top of it all. We have a few children with disabilities on our team.
This is going to be an amazing experience for the boys, I am so proud!

I made this card using the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness line, my Cricut
Imagine (printing and cutting the eggs) and my Core'dinations cardstock!
I have to make a birthday card this weekend too because my MIL
birthday is in a couple days. I need to be a better daughter LOL
I am so far behind with these boys baseball games, but how can I
resist? It's a great experience and we are so blessed!

Ok I am off to game #2!! Wish the boys luck! GO CRUSHERS!! :)
Love ya♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

~Hand Made Gifts *Dry Erase Board VIDEO tutorial!* & WINNER!~

Happy St. Patrick's Day my friends!

I have fun project today that would make amazing hand made gifts.
First of all I want to let you know this was not my original idea, I helped
people make them it at CKC Louisville in the Clear Scraps Booth.

But I put my own twist on it :) And I told Susan (the owner) I was
going to make a video tutorial with the idea and she loved it!
This would make a lovely Teacher's Gift or even a gift for a child's room!
Here is the how to video!!

I love it! This is why working in the booths is so inspiring and fun!
I did not add the dry erase marker yet, but I am going to tie it on a pearl strand.

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! I am off to a Dr. App and baseball tonight,
BUSY times ahead! :) It is officially baseball season!

~More Fun From KY & Chicks~

Good morning!
As you can see once again chicks have taken over my life LOL

Hubby went and got 8 chicks while I was gone but bless his lovely heart,
2 of them have to be isolated, they were very neglected and have
bumblefoot. Andrew has such a beautiful heart, he just wanted them to
have a good home and now they do.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Here you can see my pretty little Rhode Island Reds,
and the little Bufffs we got. I just love them all!
Here is my little baby. ♡♡
They are going to be a pretty little flock, we just need to find
a couple more blue and green layers and we will be ready to
breed our own! :)
Ok should I talk about scrapbooking now?? LOL

I thought I would share the make and take I did all weekend in the
Nicole Peterson booth, and can I just say we stayed BUSY!
This tag/album cover is her design but of course Mindy and I sort of
changed them up just a little bit and had fun with the Shimmerz paints and mists.
Here is the tag as a whole, with the new Jenni Bowlin stamp, I was
going to advertise the new JB stamp on Tally but it sold out in minutes! LOL
Now this is what I bought lastnight....because I just have to share with you
all how to make the Dry Erase Board that was the Make & Take
at the Clear Scraps booth! So stay tuned for that video tomorrow!
I know this ink is going to rock because it was 15.99! LOL
I think it better serve me breakfast in bed tomorrow for that price!!!
Ok I am off to create and get caught up this week.

THANK YOU or stopping by and have a wonderful day!

~♡♥Back From KY & New TUTORIAL...Chicks 2!!♥♡~

Good morning!!!! Did ya miss me???

I "thought" I would have full internet access and my laptop to
work with while I was gone, so I planned to blog from Kentucky, but as
we all know life is not very planned, so I ended up being MIA. LOL

I had a great and BUSY time! Thanks Mindy for letting me stay with ya.
I met some amazing people this weekend and while scrapping in Mindy's
basement I went ahead and made this and took pictures for a tutorial!
Mindy let me use her goodies, and she handed me a blank frame.
This is what I came up with and she was gracious enough to give it to me!
I wanted to share how I made the aging on this vintage frame.

Aged Vintage Frame Tutorial:
I wanted a crackled age look and we did not have
any crackle paint, after the frame was painted and dried overnight I took
Mod Podge and coated a small section at a time, then I used the PLAID paint
and coated over the wet Mod Podge. You can see it is fairly thick.
I worked with 2-3" sections and before working on the next section
I took out my heat gun and thoroughly DRIED each section, watching it
crack a little making a faux wood grain texture.
After I finished the entire frame making sure it was really dry, I
took this Tattered Rose (You could use any color) Distress Ink and I rubbed
it all over the frame making the aging and distressing pop out.
Now I felt it looked great that way but I wanted it slightly more subtle,
so after I dried it again with the heat gun I added a very THIN coat of
the Plaid Paint over the top and I used my Imaginisce D-stress tool to go
over the edges and top, then I added my paper and embellishments.
I also used my Glue Arts FABRIC glue for the ribbon, and 3D UCUT to
pop up the metal LIVE. I am really pleased with the final project! :)
Oh and look at what I came home to!!
8 brand new baby chicks! We had planned on getting 5 more in April
but hubby fell in love and got 8 instead.
He even got me 3 new baby Rhode Island Reds.
I am so happy. It was a sweet day, I will post more pictures this week
I have a few stories too. For now I am off to pack orders for Tally and rest.
Have a wonderful Monday!

~St. Patricks Day GIVEAWaY and Gift Set~

Good morning my crafty friends all over the world!

I have a fun St. Patty's Day post today....

A month ago I made this custom made T-shirt & Sock gift set.
It is a size 10/12 in girls? I think. Anyways I got the shirt at WalMart for 1.00!
Thanks to my Imaginisce i-rock, and my YuDu I was able to make
the entire outfit for less than 5.00!
I even took some ribbon and made a gift bag! See I was YuDu-ing
like the new Card Shop before it was out!
(wish it had been out it would have been easier LOL)
Anyways it was a fun project, I just used my Imagine and cut out the hearts
on vinyl, then adhered it to the screen and did my YuDu thing!
Then because it was plain I took my handy dandy Imaginisce i-rock and I
BLINGED IT UP all the way! I used the silver studs.
Fun and easy...and tell me what girl wouldn't want to wear this to school!
Now I have NO GIRLS in my house and I know no one this size,
so if you want a handmade gift set from me, please include the
"I WANT" in your comment. I won't enter everyone who comments,
just the ones who ask to be entered. :)

I hope you don't find a hand made giveaway offensive, I give away
so many new items too. Just thought it would be a fun one!

Now I am HOPING to post pictures tomorrow from Kentucky!
Hubby was so kind to take time off for me to go plus I have
wonderful friends who are so cool about helping me with the kids.
I am so blessed -just sayin'.

Happy Thursday! I love ya!!!
I am off...stop by and see me of you are in Louisville CKC!!!!
I would love to get a picture of us!

~New Cricut Cartridge Layout~

Good morning my crafty friends and a special shout out to my Cricut chicks!

I just got the Cricut Everyday Cartridge, it has all the special Cricut cuts
for the Cricut, YuDu, Cricut Cake and all that.
In all honesty I never thought I would just LOVE my Crict because
it is not my style...but now 4 months later I really find it VERY useful.
I just make it work for MY STYLE!!
paper, Clear Scraps acrylic sheet, and glitter glue....then I went crazy! LOL
I made a mask using the cut from the cartridge and sprayed away!
I wish I could get a better picture...the light was not loving me today.
Can you even see the acrylic base page on it? I doubt it.
Anyways...as usual I never tell you I love a product unless I do and
everything today was a fun combo of all my faves!
Hope you have a beautiful Tuesday~

~Scrapping It Real & Happy Saturday GIVEAWAY WINNERS~

Good morning my scrappy friends all over the place!

Yesterday baseball began in the Hobbs home...and what a night it was!
Fun for the whole family and it is so interesting and exciting to watch
these boys grow into young men who make me so proud.

Today I have a personal layout to share with you,
as always my life is pretty much no holds barred because I genuinely believe
if I share my story and life with others, then maybe it will help someone
who has been abused or maybe just give courage to one person to speak out.

This is that kind of layout for me. It is about 8 years ago, I was pregnant
with my first son and I knew my life must change, I was a wreck.
Insomnia, anxiety, hated myself, and in pain daily.
I needed to change in order to be a good mother.
I knew why I was a mess, I just did not know how to fix it, so this is what I did.
I started writing, and I wrote..and I wrote...and I cried...and I cried
some more...and I wrote and wrote and wrote. I forced myself to sit down
and write it all out. Everything from the abuse, to how it made me feel
...I even wrote how I wanted to die as a child because
of the unbearable pain of the abuse.
I took it all and I put it in the form of a small biography and my husband helped
me to make 100 copies and I gave it to every person I knew.
I decided that I was done with being ashamed, done with hiding abuse,
done with feeling like a victim. I was DONE with the lies.
Yes it was extreme but it FREED me. Not a little bit, no it FREED ME!
It freed me from the hold that the abusers had over me and the shame I felt.
It was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life, I lost some friends
but I gained respect, respect from my friends and respect for myself.

Here I sit almost 9 years later and not one regret.
I have had maybe 150 to 200 woman in these 8 years come
to me and tell me that they appreciated me being so open an it
does help them to feel like they are not alone anymore.

That is why I am to this day so impassioned about being open
about real life and abuse because it is real. It's horrible and it's hard to
talk about and hear about but it happens every day.

This is why I scrap everything, even the hard stuff. Because it is me
I am not perfect, I am a survivor and I am proud to be alive today. :)

Ok on to fun stuff right?? hehe
