~Clearly Christmas Fun~

Good morning!!

It is frigid this morning, boy I can feel winter peeking around the corner
and it puts me in the mood to scrap the Christmas photos from last year.

Imaginisce has a special post today called "Out Of Shape",
and I am one of the designers they asked to make a shaped project.
They are also giving away an irock package this week
so head over and comment! :)
For this page I used the XL Acrylic Shape from Clear Scraps,
then I added some Imaginisce goodies, then some Christmas
ribbons, and some shiny gold metallic cardstock from Kanban.
and of course the whole thing is held together by my Glue Arts
Extreme glue because it rocks my acrylic!
Oh and I found glitter glue at Michaels for 1.00 from Studio G,
now it tales a few more minutes to dry but I added it to the edges
and set it aside while I made dinner.

I actually feel like decorating for Christmas now! LOL
Hey have you entered my CRICUT CARTRIDGE GIVEAWAY??
From last Friday??? HURRY it's the last day to enter! GO!

~Sharing My Clear Scraps/Imaginisce Scrap Class GIVEAWAY!~

Good morning my friends,

I am so blessed with an amazing and I do mean AMAZING local
scrapbook store called The Scrap Room.
I have been in many shops and never had the warm reception
like this shop and they encourage local teaching including me!

Yesterday I was in Mt. Juliet, Tn. teaching a Clear Scraps/ Imaginisce class
and I had some special students. I love it when young people get into crafting
and I had to share the adorable picture they sent me.
(Don't worry mom gave permission to make them famous!) hehe
We made those cute little head bands and they made them in school colors
to wear to the first day of school next week!
We also made the little hair clip Badge/Pin combo with similar flowers.

It was such a fun class and they loved embossing/heating up the acrylic to
make these fun flowers! Imaginisce was an amazing sponsor to the class!

What a blessed day it was! :) Thanks to the Scrap Room as well,
if you are ever in Middle TN it is worth stopping by and saying hello,
not only is it Jenni Bowlin's home store but it is MY home store too!
That says alot about a great local store!

If you would like to win a KIT to this class please leave a comment
and on Friday I will post a WINNER! This kit includes the Clear Scraps
pre-punched/embossed flowers, Imaginisce badge/pin combo and headband.

Happy Monday~

We are going to make acrylic hair clips/pins. You can
see this cool badge/pin combo from Imaginisce allow you
to have a hair clip OR a pin! :)

I think that class will be a hoot, it's my first altered project class!

~Scrapbooking & Crafting IS Art!~

Good morning my crafty friends!
Don't forget about yesterday's GIVEAWAY!

I am always trying new things when I play with paper and craft.
When I was designing the April kit for Tally I ran across these book covers
I decided to add them to the kits and try one myself.
I am very happy with the results!
Almost everything here is from the April Kit from Tally Scrapper.
I sure am having fun designing these kits, it pushes me to create
in many ways and with many mediums.
I dyed the tulle with the smooch spritz in the kit too! :)
I covered the butterfly and boy let me tell you, the Imaginisce D-stress
is now MY BEST FRIEND when it comes to covering chipboard!
I am hoping to fill this Art Journal with my journaling for any and
all future layouts. Right now I just have them in piles of notebook
paper in my bedroom LOL Time to organize! :)
And it's true, scrapbooking, crafting and creating is ART!!
I treat it like art and love it like art! :)

Ok I am off to create today, I created yesterday all day and I am feeling it!

~♡♥Back From KY & New TUTORIAL...Chicks 2!!♥♡~

Good morning!!!! Did ya miss me???

I "thought" I would have full internet access and my laptop to
work with while I was gone, so I planned to blog from Kentucky, but as
we all know life is not very planned, so I ended up being MIA. LOL

I had a great and BUSY time! Thanks Mindy for letting me stay with ya.
I met some amazing people this weekend and while scrapping in Mindy's
basement I went ahead and made this and took pictures for a tutorial!
Mindy let me use her goodies, and she handed me a blank frame.
This is what I came up with and she was gracious enough to give it to me!
I wanted to share how I made the aging on this vintage frame.

Aged Vintage Frame Tutorial:
I wanted a crackled age look and we did not have
any crackle paint, after the frame was painted and dried overnight I took
Mod Podge and coated a small section at a time, then I used the PLAID paint
and coated over the wet Mod Podge. You can see it is fairly thick.
I worked with 2-3" sections and before working on the next section
I took out my heat gun and thoroughly DRIED each section, watching it
crack a little making a faux wood grain texture.
After I finished the entire frame making sure it was really dry, I
took this Tattered Rose (You could use any color) Distress Ink and I rubbed
it all over the frame making the aging and distressing pop out.
Now I felt it looked great that way but I wanted it slightly more subtle,
so after I dried it again with the heat gun I added a very THIN coat of
the Plaid Paint over the top and I used my Imaginisce D-stress tool to go
over the edges and top, then I added my paper and embellishments.
I also used my Glue Arts FABRIC glue for the ribbon, and 3D UCUT to
pop up the metal LIVE. I am really pleased with the final project! :)
Oh and look at what I came home to!!
8 brand new baby chicks! We had planned on getting 5 more in April
but hubby fell in love and got 8 instead.
He even got me 3 new baby Rhode Island Reds.
I am so happy. It was a sweet day, I will post more pictures this week
I have a few stories too. For now I am off to pack orders for Tally and rest.
Have a wonderful Monday!

~Happy to Scrap Saturday~

Happy Saturday my crafty friends!

I am so excited, I found out yesterday that yes..I will be teaching in Cave City, KY
again this year! I loved it last year....I had 200 students and it was a blast!
If you are anywhere near Cave City, go sign up! An ENTIRE day of scrapbook classes
4 full classes and lunch too! See the Upcoming Classes tab above for info.

Ok on to scrapbooking right? LOL
It will be up on March 1st at 8am central time.
I sure had fun with this kit. I often speak about my family and I love
waking up early and cooking fresh eggs for the boys for breakfast.
It's such a small thing but I wanted to scrap it anyways.
If nothing else, when I pass on the boys can show this to their kids :)
Or maybe I will be able to share with them if I am still here.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE October Afternoon and this kit was full of it!
I also used my Glue Arts *of course* LOL
And I even found an old Maya Road mini album page (the house)
to paint and use rub-ons with.
I wish I was this creative all the time LOL
DON'T FORGET about yesterdays D-stress GIVEAWAY! :)

Oh and I added a BUNCH of new product to the Tally Scrapper Store!
The box came in and I was so excited, like Christmas!!

~Creatively Scrapping & D-STRESS GIVEAWAY RIGHT HERE!~

Good morning my crafty friends!

I am so excited and feeling very creative this week.
I made this layout for the Tally Scrapper Survivor Challenge,
using the March Kit from Tally Scrapper.
I added the Banner and card stock but the rest is the Tally Kit.
The journaling says:
I wish I had known I am Really STRONG and a little crazy when my ex husband
was beating me up. I wonder how my life would have been different if
I knew then what I know now? Hindsight really is 20/20.
Of course I used my Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro and the 3D Combo Pack.
I am pretty much addicted to that stuff!
Did I mention the kit name? "Lucy you got alot of scrappin' to do!" hehe
Makes me smile every time I type it out or say it outloud!
I really love how the challenges on Tally can be as serious or as light as
you want and I am always challenged to create.
My best layouts come from the Survivor challenges! ♡♡♡♡
