~Round Robin Fun~

Hello Saturday, are you blog hopping today?? :)

A few weeks ago Tally Scrapper had a fun scrap activity called a
"Round Robin"
have you ever done one?? You start with a layout, and send it to one person
via email, they "copy" it with their own version and it goes down the chain.
Here is my end result. I went after Katie.
I have been dying to share this but it is all very hush hush until the end.
The papers and embellishments are from a Tally Swap we did,
my friend Dolores sent me this kit, she made it with odds and ends.
I fell in love with the kit, I love scrapbooking with reds and creams
but rarely purchase them? I don't know why LOL
Oh and this picture if my sweet hubby who spent almost every baseball
game holding his little buddy Payton. Hubs always wanted a little
girl, it was the one thing I was never able to give him.
I find these pictures so endearing.
Love the hubs! :)
Have a wonderful Saturday!

~It's That Time Again! New Banner Time!!~

Good morning my friends,
It's that time once again, I was feeling very itchy to create a new banner
for the last couple weeks and this weekend just pushed me over the edge!

Getting back to my vintage roots and playing with paper.
I used a Clear Scraps Acrylic background, with the
Tally Scrapper September Kit for all the paper and embellies.
I used my McGill punches to create these roses and used the
Jenni Bowlin Paint Dabber from the Tally September Kit to paint
a BUNCH of the banner...I am really excited!
I guess I need to change my buttons and blog colors too!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
THANK YOU for coming by, I love my blog friends~
Through all the physical issues I struggle with, and all the
dramma in the craft world, you ALL keep me moving and creating.
THANK YOU! :)

~I HAD To Scrap It!~

Good morning!!!

We have a big baseball game today, but I wanted to get this post in first.
I HAD to scrap the pictures that my besties took of the
TV spot we taped in Kentucky.
This was a shot before we taped, we had set up but were waiting
for our time in the "green" room, which was a conference room
because the "green room" was full with this adorable family, who's young
son was singing live. *very sweet*
Anyways, in MANY of my pictures at shows or events I have my "Hang Loose"
sign flashing because Hawaii had such a tremendous impact on my life,
and it helped me become a teacher/artist.
Ken saw it and said "Oh wait, you are doing something with your hands" and
Adrienne snapped this shot...I have to giggle because when we saw
it later she said "Use your mind not your nine" bahahaha!
Thaz right, so I just put it right on the LO! hahaha
It was one of those funny and too cute moments,
Ken was hysterical and such a kind fella, what an awesome sport.
It was a fun gig and I hope we get to do it again soon!
We made a great team and it was extra special with my homie-girl
helping out and snapping pics~

OHHH and this layout?? Courtesy 100% with the
GO BUY IT!!!!! :)
I designed it!!!!

Ok wish my babies luck today, it's our last couple ball games!

~Patriotic Card Making~

♡Good morning my scrappy friends♡
So sorry for being MIA this weekend, we had so much family
stuff going on and I had a class on Sunday...the blog fell aside. :)

It's no secret, I have many ties in the military community and as
Armed Forces Day approaches I am reminded of how thankful
I am to the military all over the world.

I really loved that the Kraft Outlet had a "Patriotic" challenge.
This is the project I made.
I actually made more than a few and shipped them to
Operation Write Home (of course I made a flat flower for those)
I used the Lunch Bag Paper from Kraft Outlet
and the Vintage Dictionary Pages to make the flower,
along with the new Denim Posies from Imaginisce! :)
Thanks to all the military for all you do and THANK YOU to the families
who live long periods of time without they family members home.
Thank YOU from one lowly crafter, your job is more appreciated and important
than you will ever know! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

~March 1st! More Cricut Imagine Fun!~

Good morning my crafty friends!
I hope your days is going beautifully.

Did you see my new blog buttons?? Oh I am in love!
Thanks Jumping Jax Designs!! They are booked because they rock!

We have officially hit tornado season in Tennessee and it has begun strong.
Yesterday we had crazy winds and storms all day, I was fighting
the weather to get my son to the Dr. I hope it clears up by Thursday!

After the video yesterday I thought it would be fun to share a 100%
Cricut Imagine Card! The only think I did not use the Imagine for
was the Jenni Bowlin alphabet rub-ons, and my Glue Arts 3D Combo Pac.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

I love that is has shapes in the machine for everyday use and no keypad!
Anyways, a quick post today because the March Tally Scrapper kit
goes live at 8am central today and I know I will be
packing orders from Tally today and shipping.
I always ship same day so off I go!

Oh and before I forget there is a new challenge on Imaginisce today.

Have a beautiful Tuesday everyone,
and I thank each and every one of you for stopping by!

~Scrappin' the weekend away~

Good morning! Happy Saturday y'all.
Hubs is working today so I am playing in my scrap room
and playing with the boys today.

I was so excited to get 4 eggs yesterday,
I cannot wait until they start laying 8-10 a day! :)

I made this vintage-y layout because
I was in a swap on Tally and my partner sent me
some very beautiful fun vintage items.

(I will be having a tutorial on making your own
vintage brown bags hopefully up this week so stay tuned)

I used Jenni Bowlin (vintage queen), and some old papers I had
from Fancy Pants. Also my Martha Stewart Large Monarch
punch, which has become my go to punch!
Don't you love the vintage lace goodies *swoom*
Here is a close up of the punch, it's my fave!
And some bobbles I had in my drawer I have been waiting to use.
Also some very old Kaiser Craft rub-ons.

I love using my old scrappy stuff up! :)
Tomorrow I am going to draw the winner for the Tim Holtz SIGNED
embossing folders tomorrow morning! So please do check back!

~Have a great day everyone~
~ Thanks for stopping by~

~Labor Day, First Unibind Book, Chicken Butts, & A New Reveal~

Good morning my crafty friends....
are you ready for a creative day??
First the crafty stuff then the chicken updates *wink*
I received my Unibind Photobook Creator last week
and could not wait to get started!! I had a couple of
others projects to finish first then I got right to work!

Now my ideas are not the traditional photobook ideas.
I love them but I wanted to get artsy and funky!
This is an art journal book I created for me and all my crafty
friends to play with! I am going to take it to crops
and with me everywhere, allowing my friends and family
to create pages in their own personal style.
It will be a wonderful memory for this time in my life
and something I can go back years from now and look
at, remembering all those amazing friends I have!
I started the first page with stamping and I am going to
write instructions inside for my "artist" friends to begin creating.
I used Jenni Bowlin, MOD PODGE, Tim Holtz, Basic Grey, Smooch Spritz,
Chatterbox, Hambly, even Ruby Rock It rub-ons! :)
So what do you think?? Ready to make your own
Art Journal?? Come on make one! Let me see it!
It's perfect for other scrapbookers!!!

I had to share a few pictures of my chickens
because this week they are finally old enough to be "free range"
we let them out now to hunt and peck, it's so cute!
Aren't their little chicken butts cute?!! hehehe
"psstt did you see that pink haired chick who keeps taking our pictures?"
hehehe the hens cackling.
This is the one who has taken over the "momma" roll
she calls them all back in and calls them when I come out
to feed them, it's SO cute and fun! I loves her!

Let's not forget it is SFTIO reveal week on Pinky's Blog!
Look at these amazing papers! This kit is STUNNING!
It feels so tropical/India/Morocco to me.
I just loved working with it! The layouts design
just flowed like hot chocolate syrup! :)
More of the "Enlightenment" journaling.
I have to say this kit got me thinking for sure!
It was thought provoking and pushed me to really study
my inner thoughts. I love that.

OK we are off to the movies today I think....depends on how
it goes with the kids :) We might have to stay home and do
yard work...now what fun is that?! LOL

~Happy Labor Day~
~Thanks for stopping by and saying hi~
~Love to hear from y'all!~

~Super Sunday, FREE SVG's, FREE PRIZE, FREE FUN!! ~

Good morning my crafty friends :)
You know it is rare lately that I get to scrap a page just
for fun, with no DT work or kits involved.
I am NOT complaining but last night after my gf
came over and helped me clean off my table, I was
totally inspired to scrap a page, so I sat up until midnight
and made this page.
Of course I used my Helmar Zapdots because I love
dimension, and some old Fancy Pants paper I "found".
I think I was inspired because yesterday was so fun and Gage
insisted I take a picture of him with his team hat.
It was so cute and I so wanted to scrap it.
We had a great day with the party and all.
Justice loved his cake and everyone had so much fun!
Now on to the FREE SVG's.
Music Notes, this one is so fun and cuts into one piece. This Guitar with Wings I suggest you cut it larger
because the details gets blurred if it's too small.

OK on tot he PEN SVG's! These are for your Cri-Kit Pens
or any Cricut pen! Yow know how scarce these files are!
Blossom #2

Blossom #1Ok you stayed with me through all the scrapping and family stuff,
I thought it would be fun to give away a small prize today
A NEW Package of Helmar ZAPDOTS!!!
Woohoo! Everyone loves glue right??
So leave a comment here and Tuesday I will choose a winner
*randomly* if there is alot of comments
I will give away 2 or 3 packages :)
These are cheap on my wallet to ship *yea*

That's about it for me today,
I am off to sew all day...
have a great weekend!
As always THANK YOU for stopping by.
Love your comments and love you!

~Thursday is here and another great challenge~

Good morning!
This morning Dirty Scraps is looking at their 4th challenge!

This is my layout for the challenge,
I scrapped about the way my husband sees me.
It always amazes me how he sees me with such
beautiful eyes, no judgment, nothing but love and trust.
I guess I am just more skeptical,
I mean I really respect him and love him but still
it comes so easily for him. I am very lucky...
I wanted to keep it light and bright and fun
because he is so light and bright in my life.
So you can clearly see that Dirty Scraps is not all negative
and sad, it is uplifting as well, it is whatever YOU need it to be :)

Don't forget tomorrow is the Sassy, Dirty, Fit Blog hop so be sure to
stop by the blogs to check it out!

~Have a great day~
~Thank you for popping by~

~Happy Hump Day, So many things coming up this week!~

Good morning to ya!
Today is a short day for school so I will be spending the day with my boys!
And I imagine their new best friend...BOOKS!
I am so happy my middle son is old enough to be involved in books now.
Every week we hit the library and he picks out 4 books, I swear
within 2 days he needs a refill heheh

I wanted to share this picture of him because
I fell in love with the candid shot...
So grown up...
Tally had a challenge to use 20 different manufacturers
on one layout, so I decided to play along for fun
I am not 100% happy, to me it looks a little discombobulated
but it's not for anything paid or a DT call, so I guess I will live LOL
Just kidding....see?... I do scrap for myself for fun some days! :)
I thought I would also share a sneaky peek of my layout for the
Get Sassy with the Dirty FITgirls Blog Hop
I am very excited to be a part of this on the Dirty Scraps Blog!
So look for the challenge and contest on FRIDAY!!!! On Dirty Scraps!
Also, tomorrow the new Dirty Scraps Challenge will be posted!
Another project I have been working on...
You know I cannot wait for March 1st,
I have so many layouts sitting here just waiting to share!

Have a great Wednesday, I am off to make eggs for the babies!

~Day before Christmas Eve let the holiday craziness begins~

Good morning all you awesome crafters!
You know how I scrap by now, I scrap life
the bad, the good and the ugly.
I even touch on abuse and my past many times.
This week I learned a great lesson or two.#1 If you don't give a person anything to speak ill of you about,
they will start lying in the attempt to bring you down.
To make themselves look or feel better, even my
momma told me when I was a baby, that lying about people to
bring yourself up only makes you fall harder.
#2 I have to learn to not let those lies get to me and
realize it is just their insecurity and unhappiness pushing them forward.
Stay at peace with my great family and friends and let them bad ones go.
#3 I need to be more aware of how abusive friends are
I broke the cycle of abusive men in my life but for some reason
I still struggle with the fact that I allow "friends" to abuse me.I know some of you have been there and I am really blessed because I am
not alone, I have not only a great supportive family
and husband but awesome friends from here in TN to New Zealand who look out for me!Of all the places to be inspired I was inspired on YOUTUBE
Rita sent this video to me (pointed it out anyways)
and it totally inspired me to scrap this LO!
The journaling on the picture, it is a quote from Madea's play:
I put everybody that come in my life in the category of a tree. Some people are like leaves on a tree. The wind blows, they over there. They unstable. Blows the other way, they over here. Seasons change, they wither and die, they gone. That's alright. Most people in the world are like that. They just there to take from the tree. They there to take and give shade every now and then. That's all they can do. But don't get mad at em, that's who they are. Some people are like a branch on that tree. You gotta be careful with them branches too cause they'll fool you. They'll get there and make you think they a good friend and real strong, but the minute you step out there on em, they'll break and leave you high and dry. But if you find you two or three people in your life that's like the roots at the bottom of the tree, you are blessed. They're the kind of people that ain't goin nowhere. They ain't worried about bein seen, don't nobody have to know that they know you, they ain't got to know what they doin for you. But if them roots wasn't there that tree couldn't live. You understand? When you get you some roots hold on to em. But the rest of it you let it go. Just let folks go.

~Ain't nobody said it was gonna be easy but it'll get easy when you learn how to love yourself. If you tell somebody that "what you doin is hurtin me and I need you to stop" and then they keep doin it, they don't care, move on, let em go. No matter how much it hurts, let em go. And it'll get easier I promise you. Every day it'll get easier and easier and easier. You just gotta make it through.

If you have had any of those so called "friends" and we all have!
I encourage you to watch this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBI4Bh2z9W8
It might give you some peace.
And thank you again Rita for passing this along....
(She is one of the DT on Scrapbooking From The Inside Out)

Happy Holidays! :)
My son has an ear infection so I am off to the Dr. all day
I hope they get me through quick!
On Christmas Day I will be choosing a random winner of the STAMP RAK
so be sure to check back!
