~WOOP WOOP I think I found a new crafty hobby!~

Good morning my crafty friends....
OK first off...who loves Mod Podge? I know I do...
I have a crafty surprise coming soon with Mod Podge!
So be sure to check back...

secondly...have you seen the new flowers and snap on
i-top daddies from Imaginisce?
OMG I found a new craft!!
I wanted to make a vintage looking ring and
I am over the top in love right now!
I was in Charmin' Charlies last week and they had amazing
rings just like this for 9.00-15.00. How excited was I
when my box came yesterday??!!
I am thinking I might do a tutorial, what do you think??

Plus have you seen the new flowers from Imaginisce?
You put them together yourself and use a little Pink tool (Petal Roller)
to roll them...OMG and they are rustic beauty, oh and 2 sided!

Here is what they look like from the package, but you
can clearly see I changed them up a bit.
I have officially fallen in love...can someone just glue
these to my pillow please???
Another flower I altered...
I love that Imaginisce has some vintage goodies now.
Anyways, that's my blog today....I have a sick boy at home this week
so I am way behind. Today is a sewing day!

~Thanks for popping by and sayin hey~
~Have a beautiful Thursday~

OH OH Remember tomorrow begins the SFTIO reveals!!!

~Tuesday is here and Halloween is fast approaching, time to craft!~

Good morning!
I took yesterday off and just lounged around the house
all day...ok not really "lounging" but it was a quiet day.
After this weekend I needed a down time day.

Can you believe Halloween is already right around the corner?
I decided to make another Trick Or Treat Bag.
This was for a company, now that they are done with it
I can finally share it with you all.
I am currently working on another one!
This one I made my own mask with my Cricut, then I
laminated it with the Purple Cows Laminator,
to make it a permanentmask, then I used my
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and sprayed the bag.
I love the affect! It's even prettier in person.
I also used the i-rock tool to BLING it up! :)

Someone asked me to share the cakes I made this weekend
so here is a picture for that someone special *wink*
Lemon Bundt Cake and Chocolate Fudge Cake...all home made.
I sure did enjoy making them....I really love fall
and winter for the joy of baking!

Ok one more thing....my friend in California, her family
is up for the ABC's No Ordinary Family Contest.
Their son Kumaka Jensen is an amazing little boy.
Here is their Caringbridge website...

You know that charity and children are near and dear to my heart
I might not be rich but we make an effort to help when and where we can
so if you have a chance please go vote for the Jensen Family!
Right here...at ABC

I don't post for votes ever unless it is an amazing
cause and this is an amazing cause... :)

That's all for me today...It's been a crazy weekend and the
week is going to be wonderful!
~Happy Tuesday~

~Sunday is here, what a great weekend!~

Good morning my crafty friends.
This weekend has been an amazing weekend for our family.

I began the weekend Friday night, it was Becca's
birthday bash so we all met in town and went out for the evening.
Can you believe this is the first time in over 4 years
hubs and I have been out alone? Crazy huh?
It was so fun to dress up and go out for a bit.
We had to dash out early because the next morning we
had a commitment to meet up and help to make 500 pillowcases
for Conkerr Cancer. What an amazing day that was.
It was so wonderful to see everyone work together to
make all these pillowcases for the children.
Here is a list of companies who donated
to the cause by donating food.
if you know these companies please frequent them
and thank them for donating food to all the hard workers
who spent 10 hours making pillowcases.
*Especially the Middle TN area*

Sadly I took my boys home after 8 hours,
but they were so amazing, they ran fabric back and forth
cut, ironed and all the good stuff :)

On to scrappy schtuff!
Have you been to Dirty Scraps this weekend?
Here is my Layout for the challenge.

I used the Steam Punk Graphic45 papers, and
let me say I am IN LOVE! I also used my PLAID paint
and some Basic Grey.
I will definitely be finding the entire
Steam Punk line and buying it!!!!!!
If you want to find out more about the amazing
emotional challenges on Dirty Scraps
please do visit and play along.

Now I am off to finish up preparing for 2 birthday parties
we are having at our home today! I now am a mom to
an 8 yr old, 7 yr old and 15 yr old....oh how time flies :)

~Happy Sunday y'all!~

~Happy Saturday....Are you ready for fall?~

Good morning my crafty friends!
I have a project to share today, pardon the pictures.
This is a large project and it was hard for me to photograph
it in a fun stylish way.

It is a fall table runner....Oooh La La~
I used my Cricut Expression to cut out the frames
and I layered them after I took Mod Podge and I brushed it
all over the frames, then I poured mega-glitter on them.
I love me some glitter!
I used wired wide ribbon from Michaels and
fabric glue. No sewing except to make the table runner itself.
This fabric was 40% off it is a micro suede and I loves it!
Brown fabric makes me smile.

The table runner itself was a yard of fabric folded over and sewn.
Easy and beautiful project!

~I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL Saturday~
~Thanks for being so wonderful and supportive
of this blog and all crafty endeavors ~

OHHHH and don't forget Dirty Scraps has a new challenge
today...you could win COPIC Markers!!!!!!!!!

~Friday!! *YEA* Glue Arts WINNER! Fun Egg News :)~

Good morning!
What a busy fun weekend this will be,
first off this morning...chocolate cupcakes...
Not even going to lie to ya, cupcakes in the morning
well...they make me smile.
While I was cooking last night
I happened to notice that when I crack a brown egg
the inside of the shell is white, but when I cracked
open my green eggs, the inside was green.
Of course I grabbed my camera and snapped a shot.
I didn't think much of it but my friends wanted to use it as their
computer wallpaper, that made my night! :)
When I heard that I decided to use it for my wallpaper too! LOL
I am pretty sure this officially makes me obsessed with Chicken Eggs!!

Now for the Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive WINNER!
#6 came up and that was

~Scrapbooking From The Inside Out BLOG HOP!!!!~

Good morning blog hoppers!!!!!
I am excited about this blog hop because you could
win a brand new "Enlightenment" SFTIO KIT!

This kit is simply amazing.
The next stop goes hand in hand with emotional scrapbooking

If you leave a comment on every blog, you
will be qualified to win a new Enlightenment kit.

Here is one of the layouts I did with the "Enlightenment" kit
The reason I shared this one is because there is no journaling.

I will explain why.
This is a photo I took in Hawaii, many of you might know
how Hawaii changed my life.
My husband was just diagnosed with MS, I was at a cross
roads in my life. I had just confronted the people who
abused me my entire childhood.
I was feeling pretty worn down and broken.
I felt ugly, fat, and pretty much like a used up piece of garbage.
A friend approached me about a girls week in Hawaii.
In the end we decided to go but only if hubby came too because
we were so uncertain of the future at this point.

Going to Hawaii I found something inside me I did not know existed.
The people in Hawaii, they have this amazing spirit, they do not see
ugly...fat...tired...people. They see you as beautiful, in fact they
see everyone with love. It was so uplifting and amazing.
It changed the way I saw myself, and how I saw others.
After a lifetime of nothing but pain and abuse, I realized
there was so much more to life than anger and hurt.
People really do care, people are kind...I just had to leave my circle
of abuse to find it. In the end it also gave me to courage to
move far away from that life into TN.
It gave me to courage to see that even though
I am fat, I am amazing and BEAUTIFUL!
Because being broken and abused does not make you ugly
it shows others your amazing character.
Even thin people can be ugly because of their poor character and the way
they treat others. Weight makes no difference.

This is the story behind my "Enlightenment" layout.
I don't really believe in Enlightenment, but if I did that would
be as close as it gets :)

Now head over to the Dirty Scraps Blog!!!
Don't forget tomorrow I will draw a ribbon glue winner!

OK enough chatterbox for me!
~ Thank you for bearing with my blabbering today!~
~Have an amazing daY~
~Have fun with the blog hop!~

While I was driving this morning I heard one of my favorite
songs on the radio. This was a quote from the song

And its funny how it`s the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There`s no dollar sign on a peace of mind

I love the Zac Brown Band
thought I would share :)

Remember those Xacto Scissors I showed you yesterday?
The ones form my BZZ kit?
I thought I would show you the whole package...

I would really be interested to see how the glue holds after a couple months.
My last tape runner turned yellow and fell apart :(
So far everything from my Glue Glider Pro has been awesome.

~Making Your Own Vintage Ad Brown Bags *tutorial*~

Good morning my wonderful crafty friends!

I was so happy and surprised that our
Americana Chickens began laying yesterday and
we found our first GREEN EGG!
My hubby and I were outside feeding the chickens together
last night and we opened the coop together and both
did a little gasp and squeal of excitement.
I have had many questions about these green eggs
and they are perfectly edible and just like any other egg.

OK remember I told you I was going to make a vintage
brown bag tutorial yesterday? Well, many attempts later
I figured it out and here it is.

This is the LO I used as inspiration *from yesterday*
because a friend sent me a vintage ad brown bag last
week and I wanted to figure out how to make my own.
Now I started with a regular CHEAP lunch bag
you can get a pack of 50 for like 2.00.
I wanted to get the smaller flatter bags but let's be honest
they were like 6.00! LOL I am frugal so I went with
the lunch bag.
With the lunch bag it does take 2 bags I will warn ya.
You have to cut the front out of one bag
leaving about 1-2" around the entire thing.
I tried to cut it 6X12 using ONLY the front but
the printer did not like those dimensions, as much as I tried
and I am pretty good with my computer/printer.
So for anyone who is not real techie this is the way to go.

I also suggest you iron of really flatten the paper you cut.
Now here it is after I printed it, but let me take a minute to tell you
how I printed it. I used Photoshop CS , you could use any photo
WORD program and collage any free vintage ad images you find online
Here is the 2 I made and here is the place I found my images
Feel FREE to use mine, but please not for publication in
magazines. And please if you do send them my way :)
I collaged the images, these are 1940's but you can
certainly find older and any style you want!
This blog here had AMAZING VINTAGE images
Especially if you wanted a little older style.

Anyways, after you make your collage or find one
and print it onto the paper, you will then glue it onto
the front of a full bag. DO NOT USE WET GLUE. You know
my stand by glue does not work. Not only does it bleed into
the paper because the paper is thin but it dries oddly.
I strongly suggest Glue Glider Pro or Scotch ATG Gun
those won't bleed or crack later, I found the other
glues I tried ended up bleeding or cracking.

Now this is how it looked when I was finished, you
can see I used a zig zag pair of Exacto Scissors to trim off the top.
You will lose maybe 2" off the top.
Those Exacto scissors I received yesterday in my
BZZ Agent kit for testing new products.
They are actually really cool!
Did you know Exacto made deco scissors? I had no clue!
Have you tried them? Do you like them?
Anyways that's how you make your own vintage brown bag
Pinky Style hahaha!
Hope you found this tutorial useful and try it.
If you do PLEASE let me know and please
tell your friends you found it right here!

OK on to the TIM HOLTZ SIGNED EMBOSSING folders

~Scrappin' the weekend away~

Good morning! Happy Saturday y'all.
Hubs is working today so I am playing in my scrap room
and playing with the boys today.

I was so excited to get 4 eggs yesterday,
I cannot wait until they start laying 8-10 a day! :)

I made this vintage-y layout because
I was in a swap on Tally and my partner sent me
some very beautiful fun vintage items.

(I will be having a tutorial on making your own
vintage brown bags hopefully up this week so stay tuned)

I used Jenni Bowlin (vintage queen), and some old papers I had
from Fancy Pants. Also my Martha Stewart Large Monarch
punch, which has become my go to punch!
Don't you love the vintage lace goodies *swoom*
Here is a close up of the punch, it's my fave!
And some bobbles I had in my drawer I have been waiting to use.
Also some very old Kaiser Craft rub-ons.

I love using my old scrappy stuff up! :)
Tomorrow I am going to draw the winner for the Tim Holtz SIGNED
embossing folders tomorrow morning! So please do check back!

~Have a great day everyone~

~More Unibind fun, Fall/Thanksgiving Apple Cider book~

Good morning my crafty-licous friends!
I took the boys to the pool yesterday and when I got
home I was so inspired to make a scrapbook,
I decided to get my Unibind out and my last book
and make a book.

For this one I used the Apple Cider line from Imaginisce,
and I painted it with that cool Folk Art paint.
Now first of all I cut a bunch of paged into 8X8 size and
made the actual book.
Then I painted the edges with the acrylic Folk Art paint
Then I covered it with the Apple Cider papers,
and embellishments. Even the rub-ons! LOL Oh yea!
Here are the papers I put inside.
I am really excited to place all my fall pictures in this book!
Here is another scrapbook I made without the fancy cover.
Only because I am not sure what I want to do yet. :)
But I wanted to show you that you can put 8X8 scrapbook paper into
these books to make a real scrapbook.
It's pretty fun and looks so cool!
Anyways that is all for me today! :)
Have you signed up for the Tim Holtz signed embossing folder
giveaway RIGHT HERE?!
You should! :)

Don't forget if you are in Middle TN and want to attend
a Conkerr Cancer Pillowcase Drive.
We are having one on the 25th from 9am to 5pm.

~How to make a rock collecting bag?!~

Good morning!!

I know right?? You have ALWAYS wanted to make
a rock collecting bag!! LOL
I know it may seem like an odd idea and very simple
but here is my special rock collecting bag using
Imaginisce Dino Roar goodies.

Did you know you can buy canvas bags (small ones) in a 3 pack
at Hobby Lobby for like 3.00? With your coupon it's like nothing.

You remember this bag right?
Since I made this bag my son has been asking me to make
him a rock collecting bag, and a bag for his Hot Wheels.

Well here is my dilemma....he will break it.
Let's just face it, do I want to put a bunch of lace and paper and glue
on a bag he will break and everything will be ripped off?
Not really...
when Imaginisce sent me the Dino Roar line and I saw
the fabric stickers, I got to thinking
Why not make him a scaled down safer version
of mommy's pretty bag!
So I grabbed my sewing machine and my Aleene's Fabric Fusion
*which I have to say does NOT string up at all when using! Loves it!*
And I went to town.
Now this is not heavily embellished or super fancy,
but it is all glued down and stitched so it will last.

I took one bag and CUT off the front, I used No Fray from Dritz,
and frayed the edges a little by hand, then put the No Fray on.
Then I went to work on the Dino Roar canvas layout
(because basically that is what it was after I had it ready)
After finishing the stitching on the Dino, and the border pieces and
chipboard. I glued down the canvas piece to another bag
I had misted using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I am telling you, I am seriously considering making these
for all my nieces and nephews on the coast for their shell collecting!
It was easy, fun, and inexpensive!

I think that 1 of each pack of embellishments
should make at least 5 bags if not 8.

WOOT! :) OK it's not my fancy scrapping but I had a ball
and my boy is the happiest rock collector in all of TN right now!

~Thanks for popping by and sayin' hey to this silly crafter~
~Have a fantastic day today!~
