Before I begin I wanted to take just a second to thank everyone who

emailed, called, and stopped by yesterday. The outpouring of concern

was absolutely comforting and assuring that I will never be alone

and I should not feel a burden to anyone whether I am in a wheelchair or not.

I deeply am touched by the concern and messages, once again I am amazed

by the craft community and my friends, so thank you.

Ok on to fun crafty stuff....

I am so very lucky because this month we are paired with the

UNITY stamp company, which means yes....I stamped!!!

*little party in my head* haha

I made this card using the BRAND NEW KOKESHI line

I LOVE IT!

The stamp is of course a BEAUTIFUL high quality UNITY stamp!

Samantha designed it with Unity, it is called Live, Laugh, Love

Just what I needed this week *wink*

Here I made a teeny tiny fan, folding it old school, and gluing it down

with my Glue Arts EXTREME glue, then I hand cut the little dolls out,

and glued them down.

I am going to send this to a friend who was sweet enough to call and check

on me yesterday. I think it will be perfect! :)

they had a HUGE GAME last night and WON!!!!!!

My boys played with respect and dignity, they did not taunt or

chatter and tease like the other teams PARENTS did, they just

played their hearts out and WON!

It was a beautiful night, I went home and cried...sappy mom LOL

~My Little Life Break & Why, Handi-capable??~

Good morning my crafty friends!! :)

I know I know it's been a couple days, I am so blessed to have

emails asking about how I am and where I am.

To be perfectly honest this week has been a difficult one.

I had to take a couple days to just breathe.

I baked cookies, bread, and muffins, I cried alot....

sort of mourning the loss of my mobility, something I had not

done before.

As some of you know we purchased a wheelchair a few weeks ago

so I am able to join my family on outings, as I can no longer walk

or stand for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Here is my pretty red "new car" haha

I was ok with it in front of strangers and no one really noticed,

but then I had to attend a couple ball games in my chair.

It was very stressful and I did not expect the overwhelming concern.

I forget that not everyone knows my story and history of being abused.

For me it's an every day hill to climb, but I forget it is not

branded on my forehead. The concern was very sweet but

very overwhelming. I found myself feeling ashamed and guilty.

Not only the guilt of having my husband push me around, but the guilt

of not being able to get up and play with my boys, and do what all

the other "normal" moms do.

As I said before...sort of mourn the loss of my mobility and

take time to digest it all.

You know in dealing with my abuse there were many days

of flashbacks and pain, I sort of learned that if I gave myself time

to grieve a little then in the long run I am able to cope with it a little better.

I feel as if I am no good to anyone right now (yes I am still in that stage)

That I am not worthy of friends because they will have to "tend" to me.

At 35 I am a nuisance and it brings back many memories of my

childhood and being a bother to everyone, not worthy of

love and friendship or parents.

I think that is why it's been so very hard to deal with.

Yes my head says it's not true, but my feelings still creep in.

So forgive my absence and I am working on crafts in my room

while I try to get my head together...slowly but surely.

I will get to the point where I feel "Handi-capable" and I know

I am not as bad off as so many...but it doesn't make it easier.

I think you would feel the same way....if it happened to you.

So I share my story and the raw truth....because I am an open book

pain, happiness and everything in between...

And this is why my blog is...

"One Crafty Chick & Her REAL LIFE"

because REAL LIFE creeps in...and steals the show some days.

Good morning my crafty friends!!!!!

Yesterday I hunkered down and worked with new stamping tools!

Wait until you see how much fun they are!

Here I have some sneak peeks of what I was working on and

some projects that are coming up.

~More Cricut Imagine Card Making~

Good morning!

I cannot help myself, for some reason the Cricut Imagine just sparks my

card making creativity. I love being able to make my own little die cuts and

match them to my own printed paper.

I made this card for my friend who lost her mother last week.

I used the Imaginisce Roly Posies flowers and everything else was printed

and cut from the Lori's Garden Cartridge for the Imagine.

I used my Glue Arts UCUT dimensional adhesive and the Extreme Glue.

Today I am off to make new craft videos! A couple projects for

Provocraft and for Glue Arts! It's going to be a fun day! :)

Now someone come keep my beautiful boys quiet while I record...haha

~*Proud Momma* Baseball Picture Time!~

Morning my friends....

yep, it's that time again LOL

My proud momma pictures take over the blog today!

I am the score whore this year (I volunteered) so I don't get to take many

pictures but I went early and took shots before the game and

got my version of the team shot.

Not perfect by a long shot but good memories for sure♡♡

I love this shot with Justice in the background ready to swing, plus the

coach watching him. Fun shot! I had to age it of course :)

It was so hot poor Gage needed a drink.

This was right after the game, I LOVE this shot!!!

We had just won and the coach was smiling and the kids were so happy!

OK just a glimpse, you know I took like 75 shots LOL

We won the last game and lost the one before but it was all good.

I am going to scrap and relax today...its so hot, time for a day off.

~I HAD To Scrap It!~

Good morning!!!

We have a big baseball game today, but I wanted to get this post in first.

I HAD to scrap the pictures that my besties took of the

TV spot we taped in Kentucky.

This was a shot before we taped, we had set up but were waiting

for our time in the "green" room, which was a conference room

because the "green room" was full with this adorable family, who's young

son was singing live. *very sweet*

Anyways, in MANY of my pictures at shows or events I have my "Hang Loose"

sign flashing because Hawaii had such a tremendous impact on my life,

and it helped me become a teacher/artist.

Ken saw it and said "Oh wait, you are doing something with your hands" and

Adrienne snapped this shot...I have to giggle because when we saw

it later she said "Use your mind not your nine" bahahaha!

Thaz right, so I just put it right on the LO! hahaha

It was one of those funny and too cute moments,

Ken was hysterical and such a kind fella, what an awesome sport.

It was a fun gig and I hope we get to do it again soon!

We made a great team and it was extra special with my homie-girl

helping out and snapping pics~

~Fun News & Next Class (More Clear Scraps Fun!)!~

Good morning my friends,

I finished off this banner yesterday for my next Clear Scraps/Imaginisce class.

I used the Clear Scraps Pennant Banner & The Imaginisce Berrylicious line.

I am excited, its very fun and summery!

It's going to be June 18th at the Scrap Room in Mt. Juliet, TN.

I have to say Charon from the Scrap Room is just so sweet and amazing,

she allows me to come in and teach and is so kind.

I am very lucky to have a great scrap store within 35 minutes! :)

I have more good news....

I am also very excited to announce that I will be partnering with

Momenta as a Designer! :) I am anxious to play with some new

goodies and cant wait to share what I make!

~Happy Camper/Camping Clear Scraps Custom Word Album + GIVEAWAY~

Good morning my crafty friends! :)

I finally got around to post all the pages in my Happy Camping Album

from Clear Scraps. Did you know this week they are giving away

a custom made Word Album? You can choose Acrylic or Chipboard,

or mix it up like this one! :)

For the acrylic pages I coated the edges with Plaid Paint.

Then I dotted the front with Ranger Dimensional Pearls.

And on the chipboard I coated the pages with the Happy Camper Line

from Imaginisce, then I painted the edges with Plaid Paint.

I added real wood paper from Creative Imaginiations to the mattes and

I also used the packaging from the Happy Camper stickers for matting.

It's a very "green" project!

You might see this at the Clear Scraps booth at CHA this summer! :)

Oh and last but not least I used the fabric stickers for the Happy Camper line!

And one pretty Roly Posies flower.

I had alot of fun with this album...I cannot wait to put my camping photos

in it from our camping trip that is coming up!

The CAMPING title is My Little Shoebox too! :)

OK that's it for me today...I am off to hide in the AC, it is 100 this week and

boy when you walk outside you feel it. Plus the cicadas are so loud

I am going deaf!!! :)
