~Kids Project! Clear Acrylic Valentine's Box~

Good morning my friends,
Today I have a Clear Valentine's Day box to share.
My son loves Valentine's Day and always takes a box into school,
I thought this year I would make a special clear box.

Who knows if he cares but I love it! hahaha
I have a full photo tutorial up on the Clear Scraps blog if you want to check it out.
I had a fun time with this one! :)
I used the Scraptastic Kit for Feb.

Anyways I am off to create today after a fun weekend with the girls.
Have a great week, Happy Monday! :)

~1.00 Crafting-Tiny Hands, BIG HEARTS Thanks Michaels!~

Good morning my crafty friends and happy Thursday!

What a week so far, nothing but sick kids, crazy weather and half days.
Yesterday I had not only a 3 hour day at school but 2 kids home and I
decided since I would also have 2 extra friends around I would go ahead and
have a craft day. So I hit up the local Michael's store and bought 1.00 supplies
(because yes in fact I am a selfish scrap whore and couldn't stand the thought
of 6.00 bottle pearl pens and 5.00 stickers going on these) LOL
I spent 10.00 and ended up with 50% off foam tote of hearts,
1.00 stamp, 1.00 ink, 1.00 glitter glues, and I bought a Value Pack
of 4X6 cardstock. I cut each piece in half and scored that in half for
each Valentine card.
Of course when they started they decided they needed to "seal"
the cards, so I had the perfect solution...a huge roll of washi tape! :)
They literally crafted for 2 hours and it was so cheap!
I made several examples of cards for them to work off of.
And of course I brought out my punches I had on hand.
This was on of Austyn's cards...even the boys crafted.
I think in scrapbooking it's easy to get lost in having the latest and
greatest and all the nice brand names, but really you can make
amazing goodness with BIG hearts, tiny hands, and 1.00 products
from Michaels! :) We did and it was priceless.

No my tiny Valentine's won't make it into Creating Keepsakes or
Martha Stewart craft magazine...but I love them and the kids
made them and handed them to each other, that was the most adorable
thing ever! I even had one handed to me!! :)

*by a boy* haha

Go have some fun today! :) Craft it on the cheap....
actually forget crafting by yourself, go find a kid who thinks
that 1.00 glitter glue is like magic fairy gold worth
500.00!! Watch their eyes shine!! :)

~Hello Cricut Crazy Monday + New Video for the i-rock!~

I was just going to post a video today.
I made a video yesterday of little tips for the i-rock
that I have picked up along the way.

But then last night my boys came into my craft
room and they discovered mommy's toy...LOL
the CRICUT! hahaha
It was so funny!!!!
So I thought first today I would share what they asked me
to make them and what happened.

This is the Hello Kitty card I made yesterday.
I did not share the information yesterday because
I was throwing a SURPRISE Hello kitty party for a gf.
It was great and the Hello Kitty cartridge was awesome for it!
Ok on to the boys...
So Justice comes in and he says "Momma when are you going
to make me something to go into my binder to make it special?"
I said "Right now, what do you want?"
"I want you to use your Cricut and make this Robot mom!"
hehehe, this is what he chose.
I know it is a basic Cricut cut but he was TICKLED!
I made it 8.5" so it covered the whole binder area.
They are only allowed white binders so this is so cool for him.
Not to be outdone my other son came in and said
"MOM what about me???" I said "Whatcha want hunny?"
"A BIG Beautiful BUTTERFLY Mom"
And that is what I made him LOL
I used my Core'dinations cardstock, my Helmar 450 quick dry,
and my Cricut Expression machine. The Give a Hoot cartridge
and the Robotz Cartridge for the Robot.
We had so much fun. What a great way to get the kids involved
in being creative, they were in awe of the machine!

Ok on to the video.
It's been a while since I made one and
I have 4 ready to go, I just need to finish them!
This one is for anyone who wants small quick tips for the
using the i-rock and the gems.

OKy doky that is it for me today!
I am off to craft, I have a special guest design spot
coming up!
~Happy Monday y'all~
~Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate ya!~

~Just for the kids this Monday~

Good morning!! How are you today??!
It is President's Day so no school, plus we have
beautiful white flakes on the ground...SNOW DAY!

I did not scrap this weekend, I spent the entire weekend
with company at my house, hosting a crop st SFTIO,
and with the family playing games, baking, and reading.

But I did want to share with you a kids craft today.
Don't you LOVE those no pressure
to be perfect, no pressure to be "adult", those...
you know every child will see magic and
you will see sparkles in their eyes projects!?!Well I had the pleasure and blessing of hosting
a Valentine's Day party in my son's 2nd Grade class
and this is the craft I brought for them to make.
I left the paper plain white so they could draw and decorate
any way they wanted, they did a great job too!
I wish I had time to take pictures of the amazing cards they made!
I grabbed my Fiskars Squeeze punches and my Imaginisce punches
and let them make peek-a-boo cards.
They LOVED IT!
The favorite punch was the Imaginisce I-Top Paper Punch
they used that thing again and again, one girl even
drew a cheerleader and used the punch as pom poms!
So much fun!
Even the moms jumped in to play hehehe
I hope you all had an amazing Valentine's Day!
I just adore ya!

I am off to play with the boys and hopefully play with paper today!
~Have a great day~
~Thank you for stopping by~
