Good morning friends, YES it's finally Friday! OHHH
I have missed you Friday!! haha

I have a fun tutorial up today - a Back To School Card And Pencil Set,
using XYRON, Samantha Walker and some Clear Scraps too.
I used this adorable and very nifty Xyron Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit
and it's a fun time let me tell ya. It has everything including an adhesive eraser!
First of all trim out 4X6 patterned paper.
Punch both sides using a border punch.
Trim out Owl Border Paper piece.
Peel off protective film (both sides).
Using Teresa Collins Xyron®  Tape Runner adhere Owl Border piece
to the base of the card (front side).
Flip card base over- apply adhesive on the back only in the places
you have the owl border paper.
Lay acrylic card onto border punched paper.
Trim out schoolhouse from patterned paper.
sticker over cut schoolhouse creating your own layered sticker.

Apply glitter stickers inside card as shown. (Pink Paislee used).
Trim out 2 pieces of patterned paper.
The length of the pencil and 2- 2 1/2" with
(if you make them just long enough they will come off so leave yourself extra rolling room)
Run the patterned paper strips though your
Carefully roll paper around pencils.
Using Blumenthal Lansing buttons- tie 2 owls to the pencil top with twine.
Assemble card as directed in packaging.
Apply paper ruler strips to card flaps after removing protective film.
Tie twine through 2 of the owl buttons.
Adhere school house to one side of the card flaps.
Give with a smile and a hug!
Now how much fun are these little goodies?
Easy and adorable fun!

I hope you enjoyed today's post- I would love to see if you make a set!
Happy Friday friends.

~Crafty Sad Mom Story & New School Project!~

Good morning all my crafty friends!

I have a story for you today to go along with my brand new project!

I created this "Chalkboard" composition notebook with the
Chalkboard paint, thinking it would be a fun project.

I never expected my boys to even glance at it, but I did show it to
my 9 year old and he smiled as I thought..."well mom that is as good as
it gets, your officially old, no one cares" LOL
But then he told my 15 yr old and my son came up and told me it was
so cool and asked if he could have it for school!
He said he loved it etc...etc....etc....
I should have known it was too good to be true.
I happily and foolishly gave it to him and a piece of chalk, thinking
he would use it at school or home for fun.
Hey I might not be so old after all right??
I was totally wrong...2 days later I asked him to bring it to me
because I wanted to take another photo before he used it for school.

Oh he brought it to me alright....it was torn to bits and everything was torn off,
except the chalkboard part of it. I was shocked, I honestly thought he
liked it. Dumb mom moment for sure!

He said "All that crap was stupid mom so I tore it off I
only wanted it for the chalkboard!"
Ok I admit it, I cried...it really hurt my feelings...
SO all my blog friends....next time I make a project PLEASE
remind me not to give it to my kids, give it to someone who
will love it and not tear it up! :/

I still love the project and the line though! :)
Just not really loving on my kid right now. haha
