Always Fly...Creative Art Canvas Project

Good morning friends,
Is it already September 2nd? Where does the time go?

Anyways I have a fun canvas project to share today- it is a
I don't create canvases often but I really do enjoy making them.
For this one I used Smooch Spritz which I spritzed in graduated
colors- them to mute it I spray painted it lightly with regular almond color
spray paint. I love how effective it was.
I thought I would stamp the canvas- so the paint was a great way to
stiffen it up a bit but I ended up stamping the vintage lace and
Then I added Liquid Pearls and Ribbons Unlimited ribbon to the canvas for pop.
Also because I wanted some different texture I added Hambly acetate paper.
I really am happy with the end result- it was a fun project! :)

Now you can find my project on the LB blog and on their websites here

~♡♥Getting Crafty w/ Recycled Scrap Packaging♥♡~

Good morning my CRAFT FRIENDS! :)

One of the best things I can say about Tally is that it pushes me
to be more creative and look at scrapbooking as an art form not
just paper and glue. Playing in the Survivor is so exciting, it always
pushes me to be more creative and flex those crafty muscles.

This layout is for the Survivor challenge on Tally Scrapper and
there is still time to join if you want to play along!!

The challenge was to use the colors tan/brown and blue
plus a photo with more than 1 person in it and recycled scrapbook
packaging, oh and some staples!
So the entire layout is not on scrap paper but on scrapbook packaging from
a tablet I bought a long time ago! :) I also dug out the Hambly and some
paint for it. It's not super fancy but I love the photo and it makes me happy.
I hand placed all the pearls LOL I think it killed my hands!
Don't forget earlier this week I had a Cricut Cartridge GIVEAWAY!
Be sure to go sign up for a chance to win it!

I am ready for the weekend so bring on today! LOL
~THANK YOU for stopping by I love visitors and read every comment!~

~Labor Day, First Unibind Book, Chicken Butts, & A New Reveal~

Good morning my crafty friends....
are you ready for a creative day??
First the crafty stuff then the chicken updates *wink*
I received my Unibind Photobook Creator last week
and could not wait to get started!! I had a couple of
others projects to finish first then I got right to work!

Now my ideas are not the traditional photobook ideas.
I love them but I wanted to get artsy and funky!
This is an art journal book I created for me and all my crafty
friends to play with! I am going to take it to crops
and with me everywhere, allowing my friends and family
to create pages in their own personal style.
It will be a wonderful memory for this time in my life
and something I can go back years from now and look
at, remembering all those amazing friends I have!
I started the first page with stamping and I am going to
write instructions inside for my "artist" friends to begin creating.
I used Jenni Bowlin, MOD PODGE, Tim Holtz, Basic Grey, Smooch Spritz,
Chatterbox, Hambly, even Ruby Rock It rub-ons! :)
So what do you think?? Ready to make your own
Art Journal?? Come on make one! Let me see it!
It's perfect for other scrapbookers!!!

I had to share a few pictures of my chickens
because this week they are finally old enough to be "free range"
we let them out now to hunt and peck, it's so cute!
Aren't their little chicken butts cute?!! hehehe
"psstt did you see that pink haired chick who keeps taking our pictures?"
hehehe the hens cackling.
This is the one who has taken over the "momma" roll
she calls them all back in and calls them when I come out
to feed them, it's SO cute and fun! I loves her!

Let's not forget it is SFTIO reveal week on Pinky's Blog!
Look at these amazing papers! This kit is STUNNING!
It feels so tropical/India/Morocco to me.
I just loved working with it! The layouts design
just flowed like hot chocolate syrup! :)
More of the "Enlightenment" journaling.
I have to say this kit got me thinking for sure!
It was thought provoking and pushed me to really study
my inner thoughts. I love that.

OK we are off to the movies today I think....depends on how
it goes with the kids :) We might have to stay home and do
yard work...now what fun is that?! LOL

~Happy Labor Day~
~Thanks for stopping by and saying hi~
~Love to hear from y'all!~

~Pure Magnetism Cards & More SVG files~

Good morning my amazingly crafty friends.
I hope to inspire you today to step out of your box and
send some love to someone who needs it today.

The entire story and more pictures and Pure Magnetism Cards can be found
on the Clearscraps Blog today right HERE

Clearscraps acrylic
was definitely one of the reason I came up with these.
So, I know what you are thinking....
"what is the crazy pink headed one talking about today???"

Well, let me explain to ya :)
I have a couple of good friends who are going through some rough patches
lately (like we all have at one time or another) and I got to thinking
I would send some cards out, but then I wondered what else could I do?
I wanted a card on steroids! LOL
Why not make a card that attaches ot hangs from the fridge??
So every time someone comes into the kitchen they remember that
you took the time to say "hey I love ya, I care"
So go check out the blog :)
I came up with these (This is just one version)
Acrylic cards that are not your traditional folding card,
but instead have magnets and would be double sided.
The front would be a version of a card or mixed layout
and the back would have a special message
whether it be hand written or printed on
Now this one I used my new Cri-Kit pens to write the "You Are Loved"
OMG how cool is it, not to have to find a rub-on or print
something up on my computer, just be able to type it out on my Cricut and
cut it out! LOVE these pens!
This one I had to share a sneak peek because guess what I used to attach the
Hambly to the front of the Pure Magnetism card??
Helmar V2 Babay! That's right, it dried invisible! Look at that!
I am so excited to be able to glue down Hambly with no visible glue.
Helmar V2 rocks my socks off LOL

Here are just a few more SVG's for you SVG hunters today!
Free as always and just click the image to download

Hello Kitty
Cloud, Moon, Flower pack

Don't forget I have some of these pens to give away shortly!
I am so excited for y'all to try them too.

I have a very busy day ahead with school and all that jazz,
and last night I burned all my fingers so it should be an interesting day LOL

~Have a great Thursday y'all!~

~FRIDAY!!!!! Time for some FUN~

Good morning all you lovely crafters!
Today is the Sassy Lil' Sketches, Dirty Scraps, ScrapFit Blog Hop!
So get to hopping! There is a GREAT challenge and
fun prizes as well!

Here is what I created for the Blog Hop,
you can also find it on Dirty Scraps
a long lost friend found me and sent me a picture
of myself many moons ago...Don't you love Sassafras Lass?! I know I do!
I always struggle with sketches, so I decided to just go with the flow
and if it was not perfectly matched to the sketch it was ok! :)
Of course I am in LOVE with my Helmar adhesive, I used the Scrap Dots
on this one for dimension and they rock! They do take a little bit
to dry, so I have found putting the dimension on last is best,
but they hold really well so it is worth the time.

OK I am off to get ready for this weekend!
~Have a great Friday~
~Thanks for popping by to say hey~

~A very Manly Thursday! hehe...~

Good morning, my crafty friends!
I am dragging today...seems my son was contagious LOL
But it's a quiet day so it should be a good day.

Here is my project for today...simple, but heartfelt.
My husband has the best boss, he paid out of his own pocket
for 2 men to come and move us into our new home.
So of course hubby asked me to make him a card!
Well...I just have to say, I am making him an awful lot of cards! LOL
He is a generous man...
This time I wanted the card to be very manly...
so I got out the brown Bazzill, cardboard, and Hambly!

I layered the wood grain Hambly onto the stripped cardboard so the card
is very thick and masculine, it has some weight to it.
Hubby was happy, and for not being a card maker, so am I!

Also I finished a cute project for Purple Cows, can you just says RECIPE?!
and Laminator??!~ Very fun project coming up, and very useful!
OK I am off to lunch with some girlfriends today!
For everyone who prayed and asked, Gage is doing much better,
he is back to school today and seemingly better.
I appreciate your concern, it really helps to have friends to lean on.
That boy will be the death of me! :)

~Ok off to dry my hair and take some medicine!~
~Have a great Thursday!~
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a RAK!!!!
