~Sewing On Layouts~

Good morning crafty friends,
Boy it's been a sick week in our house, the cold/cough has
passed like fire form person to person. I am slow to post this week.

Anyways, had a lovely anniversary on Saturday, spent the day with
the boys then Sunday with friends.

Wanted to share one of my very last projects from Scraptastic Club with you.
A layout of hubs and I. I really went crazy with stitching on this one.

It really never gets old, sewing with my machine on layouts!
Happy Wednesday my friends,
hope to see you tomorrow! :)

~Tried Something New!! Misting Glitter!~

Good morning and happy Hump Day!!

So...totally have something awesome to share tomorrow
and today I wanted to share something FUN!
I tried something new on my craft room...I tried misting GLITTER
and I love it! :) I took the Chasing Pavements kit from Scraptastic
Kit Club and an acrylic frame from Clear Scraps.
I glittered the heck out of the BACK of the acrylic frame.
Let it dry completely, then sealed it with Preserve Your Memories.
and spritzed the back of the frame.
I LOVE the affect it had and I think it looks pretty cool!
Even a seasoned crafter like myself can surprise herself! :)
Go ahead try it! You will love it!!!

Happy Wednesday my friends, and stop by tomorrow!!!!

~More Acrylic Fun (Card making)~

Good morning my friends,

As you may know I LOVE sewing, in fact that is how I got into
crafting, I was sewing every day and paper crafting
seemed to be the next step. I was very excited when Clear Scraps sent
me these brand new Sewing Embellishments!!
I love the little sewing machine, how adorable is it??!
I used alcohol inks on it, then I sprinkled it with glitter.
You know if you sprinkle it while it's wet it acts like an adhesive.
So much going on this week....be sure to check back.
Thursday we have a special blog hop for Clear Scraps, you can
enter to win their new Send It Clear goodies....plus so much more
with CHA right around the corner...and some good news coming too!
Have a great Tuesday my friends....

~Life is full of POSSIBILITY! Happy New Year's Eve~

Wow what a journey 2009 has been and one of
those pivotal moments for me has been finding
the Scrapbooking From The Inside Out Forum/kit club
This is the FIRST kit club I have ever found that thinks just like I do.
All the kits are based on a specific emotion.
This month's kit emotion is "POSSIBILITY"
Everyone is VERY nice and they believe it is ok to scrap ANYTHING
just like I do. I love the compassionate attitude that sort of thinking
holds, and is dear to my heart. That scrapping is about what you want to
create/do, and not about rules and regulations! :)

Today I am going to share 2 of the layouts I made with the kit
I made 5, I will post the rest tomorrow
Journaling:
It's hard to explain to someone who has never been abused
just how precious the gift of security can be.
Knowing that I will never ever be hit again by someone who says the love me.
But you my dear, have given me back the feeling that anything is possible.
If I found someone who loves me unconditionally ]
and sees me with eyes I do not understand, then YES!! Anything is possible.
I Love You.
Time To See Journaling
It IS Possible:
To have friends who do not use and abuse you and to expect that.
To be kind to yourself and still be a good person
To stay faithful and surround yourself w/ others who are as well
To stand strong and be gentle at the same time
To respect yourself even after being abused and battered for a lifetime
I am beginning to see that I am repeating the same pattern
of abuse in my friends that I used to have with men in my life.
I have decided if I can break the cycle with men, I can break the cycle
with my friends as well, so for 2010 my goal is to find good
sweet honest friends who care for life and respect others like I do.
Isn't this kit beautiful?
If you have not checked out SFTIO please do.
I stop in there to chat at least once a day.
The girls there are KIND, compassionate and very understanding.
Kindred spirits.

OK I am off to take my sweet boys shopping and
get ready for this amazing New Year full of POSSIBILITY!
~Have a great New Year's Eve~
~Thank you for stopping by~

~A very Manly Thursday! hehe...~

Good morning, my crafty friends!
I am dragging today...seems my son was contagious LOL
But it's a quiet day so it should be a good day.

Here is my project for today...simple, but heartfelt.
My husband has the best boss, he paid out of his own pocket
for 2 men to come and move us into our new home.
So of course hubby asked me to make him a card!
Well...I just have to say, I am making him an awful lot of cards! LOL
He is a generous man...
This time I wanted the card to be very manly...
so I got out the brown Bazzill, cardboard, and Hambly!

I layered the wood grain Hambly onto the stripped cardboard so the card
is very thick and masculine, it has some weight to it.
Hubby was happy, and for not being a card maker, so am I!

Also I finished a cute project for Purple Cows, can you just says RECIPE?!
and Laminator??!~ Very fun project coming up, and very useful!
OK I am off to lunch with some girlfriends today!
For everyone who prayed and asked, Gage is doing much better,
he is back to school today and seemingly better.
I appreciate your concern, it really helps to have friends to lean on.
That boy will be the death of me! :)

~Ok off to dry my hair and take some medicine!~
~Have a great Thursday!~
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a RAK!!!!
