~Card For A Special Friend~

Good morning my friends,

I have a card to share today and news about a blog hop tomorrow
that will have a special TWINERY prize! :)

First of all we have had a crazy week and a friend ended up in
the hospital, so I made this card for her.
Isn't it pretty? I just adore the Kanban cards...I love how easy
and how beautiful they are.
I just layered the pieces and added a smidge of vintage lace.
I an continually in love with Kanban!

Ok secondly you MUST stop by tomorrow because there will
be a special Twinery/Momenta blog hop and one of the
stops happens to be right here! You could win, so stop by!
Last but certainly not least, the last few months have been full of family
happenings from broken noses, to surgeries, family visits.
It has been non-stop since November.
Hopefully now that our last surgery is over things will slow down.
My boy came out of surgery Thursday with a smile.
Vanderbilt Children's Hospital is simply amazing.
He is up and walking again and happy as a clam, and oddly enough
no pain whatsoever, I attribute that to all the prayers.
Thank you each and every friend who sent me a note or
an encouraging word. I truly am blessed and needed them.

Now off to teach a class today, it has been a non stop
weekend so far and looks to be that way until next weekend LOL
Happy Sunday my friends.

~Misting Mishap- Reinventing Layout~

Good morning my friends,

I had a lovely mishap this weekend LOL A misting mishap.
I was creating this layout with the adorable A Boy's Life Kit from
the Scraptastic Club (Feb Kit), I decided to mist the corner of my
12X12 Layout and WHAN, the entire page seized up and wrinkled LOL
Now normally I would just make it distressed but it really puckered.
So I ended up cutting it down to an 8.5X11 which I love anyways, and matting
it with the coordinating cardstock in the kit.
I actually adore the layout now. I punched 4 holes and ran
some twinery twine through it for a fun effect.
I love the stickers in this kit too! Totally fun.
Oh and I was so excited to see a boys kit, I have been dying to scrap
these aquarium photos. You know you can only get these boys of mine to
post for so long, I know those days are ending soon LOL
This week is a crazy one for me, not sure how much I will be around.
My son goes in for surgery on the 9th, any prayers are appreciated.
We will be home bound for a little while after that.

Happy monday my friends~~ Thank YOU for popping by

~1st Spellbinders USE! 10 Years Of Love & Card~

Good morning my friends,

Today is such a blessing for me.
This is my FIRST Spellbinders use AND
today is my 10 year wedding anniversary.

This card could easily be a Valentine's Day card or anniversary card.
I used a Pink By Design Stamp, have I ever told you how amazing
those stamps are? OMG incredible! The owner is amazing too!

This is the FIRST time I have used Spellbinders and I LOVE THEM!
These are from Samantha Walker and they totally rock!
Oh I am going to be addicted LOL
They have incredible detail for sure, and I love them!
The card is Clear Scraps, Momenta, Twinery, and Spellbinders (SW).
Oh and here is my new fridge! I really did not want to buy one
on credit but when your between a rock and hard place with a burnt
out fridge...well you do whatcha gotta do LOL
I might as well enjoy it! :)
My husband and I have been together for over 13 years but
married for 10 now and it has been an amazing ride.
These are my 4 of my most treasured gifts in life.
My story with him is too long to post but I will say
without him I would not be anywhere near as strong as I am today.
I would not have the confidence to speak out against abuse and share
my story. I would not trust in anyone especially men if it were not for him.
He has been more than a blessing, he was a gift from God
I genuinely believe that. Happy Anniversary my dear.
Life is not always peaches and cream but you make it bearable.

If you would like to read more about the last 10 years and how
my life has been incredibly changed, I wrote a tribute to what he
has done and how I have changed on my Facebook.
My life is a crazy web of survival and I am thankful to be alive
and honestly it is thanks to this man.....Love ya hunny! :)
