Christmas Card Hanger (Garland)

Happy Hump Day friends!
It's another holiday project, I love Christmas crafts....

The Clear Scraps Swirl Christmas Tree Mascil/Stencil works perfectly for a swirly look on the Bell Acrylic Mini Album (both are in the kit).

I used spray paint and glitter to create the unique shiny look.
After that the October Afternoon paper in the kit made a beautiful background.
Just a dab of Beacon adhesive behind the spray painted areas hide the glue perfectly.
After it is all set, add clothespins and use the snowflake brads to attach to ribbon!
Fun, easy and functional, that my middle name LOL

Special Tags for Special People

Good morning friends,
what a crazy week, I am so thankful it is FRIDAY!
Ready to get our Christmas tree this weekend and decorate the house.

I took some time to craft this week in fact I have several projects to share
in the upcoming week. This is the first one- these special glittery tags
I created using the new Creating Made Easy December Kit!

I glittered the backs- sealed them, then stamped on the front using white StazOn.
They were easy and look fantastic! :) I might even use them as ornaments?

Ok busy day ahead my son is knee deep in archery, and my other son is sick
so momma is going to try to get a cat nap today.

~Soul Friends- Enjoying The Journey~

Good morning my friends,
You will find me quite scattered this week as tonight I drive
into Nashville and pick up my in laws! :) And the Christmas vacation begins.

But before that I wanted to share a couple things with you...
a project I created for Connie Crystal and a special moment yesterday.
You can find a tutorial on this card/tag gift set project on Connie Crystal
I am just sharing a sneak, not the entire project! Go check it out...
I also used all the goodness from Jinger Adams...*beautiful*
As I create it is always like therapy, this has been an eventful year
but  it also has forged the best relationships as well, so for that I am so blessed
and extremely happy. I am finding peace from the very dark years of my past.

Yesterday my close friend Shauna, brought me this gift...the most heartfelt
gift I think I have ever recieved. It brought me to tears...and I wanted to share
with you because it is such an amazing idea....
This beautiful necklace with this note inside...I just cannot think of a
more heartfelt thing to do or a sweeter gift for a friend.
I was humbled and blown away.
For me Christmas is never about the gifts and definitely about friendship
and love and sharing. (For me that's crafting and baking up a storm!!)
This really choked me up and I am so blessed to have such amazing
strong women in my life. She is not the only one I am blessed with but
I can say this Christmas is very special...I am enjoying
the journey, every amazing moment-
and I hope you all have the most amazing holiday season as well.
~Merry Christmas~

~Dealing W/ Holiday Stress W/Humor!~

Happy Monday my friends,

Well I think everyone is mid swing in the holiday season now, I know I am!
In the middle of baking, shopping, parties, and all that jazz.

Why not lighten the mood and create something funny...release a little
of that holiday stress! LOL I just love this stamp from VLVS
I also used this open bird cage stamp from Plate 1302
I love creating a sassy saying and using beautiful papers and embellishments.
I used the Samantha Walker papers and added some pretty American Crafts ribbon.

I hope it gave you a giggle today!
I am off to create and clean, lots to do this week, we have company arriving
and a busy week ahead...plus a fun train ride on Saturday...all good stuff.

Happy Holidays my friends~

~Holiday Layout Fun~

Good morning my crafty friends,
Oh have I been blog slacking or what? I think these holiday
get togethers just throw my crafting into a tizzy~ :)

We have a lovely weekend with friends and I had a sick little man on Monday,
then Game night with the girls after....BUT in between that I did sit
down to create this layout using the new All Of The Lights Kit
I know it is not traditional Christmas kit, but who says you can't make it a
Christmas kit if you want to? Not me! :)
I love the colors and the feel of it...it's a fun time!
I think the snowflakes add a fun touch, I used the white cardstock
from the add-on to make them and used a lot of glitter!!

Ok now I am off to do some last minute Christmas shopping, we have
family coming next week and a Christmas Party happening this weekend!
So very grateful for amazing holiday get togethers and friends who make
our lives that much sweeter!! :)

Happy Holidays my friends~

**New Stamps!!** Shh...It's Not Christmas??!"

Good morning my amazingly talented crafty friends! :)

I have a FUN new card to share today with a new stamp set from Avocado Arts!
SHHH...don't tell me it's Halloween tomorrow...I'm dreaming of Christmas.

This stamp set is so warm and inviting, you are going to love it.
I decided to just play with it and make a living-room scene,
Now I didn't use my Cameo and digital cut files for this, but I wish I had! LOL

I was knee deep in creating the card and cutting when I decided to keep on
creating with the stamps, and ended up with an entire living-room!
Oh well it was super fun.
I even created a Christmas "painting" above the fireplace and
used a brown pearl pen to create the mantle to look like wood
and the little logs in the fireplace.
I wish I could show you all in person.
Anyways...be sure to check out the rest of the crew!! :)
Have a wonderful Tuesday my friends...MUAH!

**GIFT IDEAS** Don't Sew?? Easy Couture Apron For You!

    Good morning my crafty friends,
I have a fun little project to share today, you know I craft with paper
and everything else but I also sew...but this is for all my friends
who don't sew! Or who don't sew very much. :)

These aprons make fantastic handmade gifts just in time for the holidays too!
All you need is 1 yard of fabric, a pre-made apron, ribbon, and embellishments.
I used Blumenthal Lansing buttons, ribbons, and ric rac.

I just went to Walmart and bought 3.00 a yard fabric.
Took my 2.99 apron. Take the apron and cut the ties off.
KEEP THEM and keep them sorted! LOL The neck and the two sides.

Now lay the apron FACE DOWN onto the fabric.
Trimmer the fabric around the apron, leaving about 1" all the way around.
Then I folded the fabric over the edges- pinning it. Then just stitched around the apron.
You could also use an iron on adhesive if you really don't sew at all.

Then I drew a line in pencil where I wanted to ric rac to sit.
I pinned the ric rac into it. I stitched it down but you could easily adhere
it with fabric adhesive, or just hand tack it down.

Take the ties you cut off earlier, cut ribbon to match the same lengths and
sew/tack the ribbons back on in the same spots as the ties.
Add flowers or whatever embellishment your heart desires!
That's it! A handmade apron, beautiful and perfect for any cook or crafter!

I just thought it would be a fun project to share with you all in time
for the holidays and just for kicks! MUAH!

~Christmas is over, time to get crafty!~

Good evening all my crafty friends...
I spent yesterday recovering from a 6am wake up call
on Christmas morning...it was DARK and the boys
    were raring to go!

I really have nothing crafty to share today.
Yes, it's true I did SCRAP all day!
I finished a special project for Purple Cows,
I made my FIL a birthday card,
    I finished 4 pages...
    and a full tutorial,
but you will just have to wait until I can reveal! :)

Meanwhile...I wanted to share a little bit of personal schtuff!
(Sorry was a no makeup night for me LOL)
If you know me at all you know my most favorite thing
in the world is HELLO KITTY!
Hubby is sweet enough to indulge my little girly whims
by making sure I receive many Hello Kitty goodies each year.
Besides they are cheaper then the big girl toys I usually want LOL
Also my Pink DS is great for those 30 minute school waits every day!
So this was a fun Christmas Eve gift...

And normally I don't expect or ask for expensive gifts,
I was so hapy to get utensils and what not for Christmas morning
but then hubby brought in a BIG BOX...it was UGGS!
OMG I have wanted these for years now, I am so pleased!
Nice warm feet for years to come, what could be better!
And isn't this fat jolly fella fun?
I found him...at Cracker Barrel for 50% off!
He was my one little Christmas decor splurge this year!
I think he is so fun and the boys will enjoy him for many years!

Ok that's a wrap up for our quaint, sweet and very peaceful Christmas.
We had a wonderful time with the boys, honestly I could
not ask for a more beautiful Christmas!
I had a few dear close "root" friends call.
That brought tears to my eyes...
I hope you all have a beautiful holiday as well....

~Love and joy to you all~
~Best Wishes, let's bring on the New Year!~

~Monday Magic, Christmas spirit is here!~

It's no secret I LOVE LOVE the holidays,
it's not the shopping, the food, or even the gifts.
It is family , pure and simple!
I love that most have a day or two or 5 off, the kids are out of school
and we get time to spend together doing whatever brings us closer.
This weekend we went to the Christmas Tree Farm with friends,
baked cookies while listening to Christmas music, and had
    a very unexpected game night.

Since no scrapping was done I thought I would share a few pictures...
This is my son, I gave them all Santa hats, and clearly
he was NOT going to wear one at any cost! LOLThis is the money shot babay! I wanted this shot all year and
screamed across the field..."TAKE HIS HAND!!" LOL
That's right, I am NOT ashamed the scrapbooker popped right out, and
forced them to pose for momma! LOL
So that was just a glimpse of our weekend...
My entire life I wanted to live in a quiet country home ...
doors and hearts always open for company.
This week has truly been a blessing and it feels like home at last.

TOMORROW I will be drawing the name for the Chipboard RAK!
and I wanted to take one second to share with you some fun news!

You know the little tutorial video I made the other day?
    The Snowflake Wreath?
Well, I bragged on Helmar in the video because...well honestly?
I love Helmar glue! It works fast enough to grab and stick and it last forever!
I use it all the time when I can find it...
well I get a little email asking if they could feature it on the Helmar Blog!
    I was like..."Ummm heck ya!!"
So please go by and check it out!

I would love to show them I did send people their way! :)
    http://helmarusa.typepad.com/blog/2009/12/helmar-glue-patrol-spots-amazing-creativity.html
OK back to real life and crafting right?
Today I decorate the tree with the boys and hopefully make some fudge!
Also I have some fun Imaginisce projects coming right up!
    ~Thank you for stopping by~
~Your words and kindness always blow me away I am truly blessed!~

~Snowflake Wreath Tutorial and SFIO GIVEAWAY!!~

Good morning, after a tumultuous morning
trying to video tape this tutorial! LOL
I went and set everything up (about 30 minutes) then
went and set up the camera, got Gage all quiet...
started recording...then the dreaded BEEP...BATTERY EXHAUSTED
    hehehe
which normally would not be so bad but I had to call hubby
to find the charger since half our belongings are still in boxes!
So here is the Snowflake Wreath Ornament, it is double sided (or can be)
and using scraps is a great way to make it!
Just like the Advent Calendar I used my new favorite glue Helmar 450
That stuff holds wicked good on altered projects! And here is the video how to, it cut short on the end, sorry about that,
but you get the gist of it! :)

Hope you make one and share with me!

You really do have to check out Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
They are an amazing group of supportive women and the kits
are just beautiful and focused on inner beauty and self exploration.
