Fall Fun And New Journeys Begin

Good morning friends,
It is so cold here right now and I am SO ready for it!
I know many hate the cold but we had such a mild winter I am really excited
about a possibly cold winter with snow.

We have 5 new babies in the house...
hoping to have them laying BY spring instead of getting them
in spring and waiting until summer.

This week we begin a study in Nashville for Gage too.....
It's going to be a busy and long week. I wish I could climb into
bed and wake up Friday! haha
Happy Fall friends, Have a wonderful Monday and be
sure to stop by tomorrow for a Maya Road/Xyron Blog Hop with PRIZES! :)

What The Cluck??!!

Good morning crafty friends,
I am laughing this morning because of this card-
I HAD to make it, I have been saving it for a while now and
decided it was perfect for my gf's birthday. I mean she is turning the BIG 3-0!
Honestly I could not hep but make a FUNNY and fun card
and I knew I had this Kanban Crafts Wobbler (out of business now)
- and I could NOT resist.
Everything was sweet and nice except this! LOL
I printed and added the sentiments.
And of course I had to add the sentiment inside because my friend insisted
(ok she really just suggested it and I flew away with it).
I added the BIG 3-0 to the eggs because let's face it. It's FRACKIN hilarious!
Anyways it totally made her laugh so mission accomplished! LOL
I used the beautiful Ribbon's Unlimited ribbon to jazz it up and my Xyron to
adhere to pieces. All fun stuff! :)
The eggs are where I put her age...I am just happy she had a giggle! :)

Anyways Happy Tuesday- off to create!

~Chicks Man....CHICKENS that is! :) ~

Good morning my crafty friends,
I have a few photos for you today because it is that time of year again,
you guessed it...CHICKEN TIME! :)

I love this time of year, renewed amazing life popping up
all around-wonderful friends, beautiful flowers, amazing family time.

Yesterday I stole sweet Bellarina and took her with me
to get new chickies. We got 6 babies this year (we have 9 full grown already).
3 Easter Eggers, and 3 Orphington Chickens.

You might remember we lost all of our Orphingtons last winter
to the coyotes here. Thankfully we made it through this winter
unscathed with a full batch. Just one lost due to a neighborhood dog.

Here is Daffodil, JEALOUS as ever! Begging for attention from Bells.
Here is sweet girl helping me get them into their new home.

OH and I tried something for the first time this week....
Kings Cake! :) They turned out slightly dry, I think I overbaked them but
good nonetheless.
Here are the kids plowing into them on Mardi Gras.
I can't say it ever bothers me to have a full house! I love a house
full of family and friends. It warms my heart to have such beautiful
souls in my life.
And to top it off, the best day ever!

Gage has been asking for a "Mommy date" so I took him out last night.
He was very clear with the waitress we were on a date! haha
It was quite adorable. He picked Pizza Hut- I hate that place LOL
Anyways, nothing crafty- so sorry, just so much quality family/friend time,
I promise I will be back to creating today!

Happy Hump Day! Thanks for popping by~

~Brand New Glam Rocks & Chicken Update *pictures*~

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend.

We had a very busy weekend and I have pictures below, but
first I wanted to share my reveal with the new Glam Rocks from Imaginisce!
They finally have RED!!!!!!!! :) I am so excited!
Red studs which I used here, and new templates too.
I added my older black crystals as well. It was a fun project.
Of course I used my D-Stress on the Clear Scraps acrylic
to make it a permanent adhesive.
But I have to say I love the red! :)
Oh and go check out the blog...they are having GIVEAWAYS with
the new Glam Rocks!

I also wanted to share the picture of the new chicken pen.
After I went to Kentucky you know hubby bought 8 more chickens
bringing the grand total up to EIGHTEEN! hehe
They needed more room for sure. We just added the "babies" to the mix
yesterday, right after we built this new pen. It is 4 times the size of
the old pen and they are loving it!! It's also right beside my garden.
See how happy they are in the fresh grass?
All the grass in their old pen had died off of course.
Here are 2 of the older babies, the sick chickens that are looking very
healthy and happy now. They were really happy to not be the only
babies in the pen since we put the other 6 in.
They really are spoiled little monsters...these two LOL
We also dug out a 24 foot are for the pool. When I say we, I mean
the boys and hubby dug and I hauled dirt. LOL
Finally complete!! AHHHH...now to add the sand and level it...
Feels like it will never be done. I am thinking maybe we should have
settled for a slip and slide and sprinkler LOL

Ok that's it for me today, I have to take my son tot he DR. we
are pretty sure he broke his hand.
We have to go for X-Rays and see what needs to be done. Looks
like possibly no more baseball for him....*fingers crossed*
he is fine and it's just sprained.
Happy Monday!

~More Fun From KY & Chicks~

Good morning!
As you can see once again chicks have taken over my life LOL

Hubby went and got 8 chicks while I was gone but bless his lovely heart,
2 of them have to be isolated, they were very neglected and have
bumblefoot. Andrew has such a beautiful heart, he just wanted them to
have a good home and now they do.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Here you can see my pretty little Rhode Island Reds,
and the little Bufffs we got. I just love them all!
Here is my little baby. ♡♡
They are going to be a pretty little flock, we just need to find
a couple more blue and green layers and we will be ready to
breed our own! :)
Ok should I talk about scrapbooking now?? LOL

I thought I would share the make and take I did all weekend in the
Nicole Peterson booth, and can I just say we stayed BUSY!
This tag/album cover is her design but of course Mindy and I sort of
changed them up just a little bit and had fun with the Shimmerz paints and mists.
Here is the tag as a whole, with the new Jenni Bowlin stamp, I was
going to advertise the new JB stamp on Tally but it sold out in minutes! LOL
Now this is what I bought lastnight....because I just have to share with you
all how to make the Dry Erase Board that was the Make & Take
at the Clear Scraps booth! So stay tuned for that video tomorrow!
I know this ink is going to rock because it was 15.99! LOL
I think it better serve me breakfast in bed tomorrow for that price!!!
Ok I am off to create and get caught up this week.

THANK YOU or stopping by and have a wonderful day!

~Clearscraps BLOG HOP & gifts for Mothers Day~

Good morning all you crafty people!
I am excited about this morning because it is my first Clearscraps
blog hop *see official information below*

I wanted to make a pretty Mother's Day gift with my clear acrylic,
so I decided to make a Checkbook Cover! How fun is this?
Acrylic is perfect for this gift because it has the strength and durability
I wanted to cover the checkbook and hold stamps.
I used a Sizzix Die (I won on a blog hop last month!)
Graphic 45 papers, with some brads, and rub-ons.
I am going to add a magnetic latch tomorrow, alas...I ran out of time
my son had a baseball game so I had to shoot a picture and head out.
Behind the cover is another piece of acrylic for even better cover.
I think you could put paper inside and make a notepad
if you wanted or put a pocket calendar in there!

OK here is the official information...
PRIZES at the end!! So comment all over my friends!

Welcome to the Clear Scraps blog hop!

Oh and for anyone wondering about the chickens...
Oh my oh my LOL
I wanted to finish a little more of the story of the crazy chicken lady
I meant to clarify, when I said she spoke to the chickens about leaving
and coming to our house, I meant she had a lengthy "discussion" with
every chick about IF they wanted to leave or stay,
you know those chickens were just thinking...
"LADY, just kill me and get it over with, I can't handle one
more second in this garbage pile! Just hand me to the crazy pink haired lady
she cannot be worse than this!"
hahahaha

that's it for me today! GO BLOG HOPPING!
Tell your friends!!!
I have some stamps to giveaway tomorrow
from the Timeless Daydreams post last week.,
I apologize for the delay, I am all out of whack
from the crazy life with the weather and all.

~Have a GREAT Friday~
~Thank you for stopping by and saying hi~

~More reveals, update on TN life~

Good morning my amazing friends.
I went to bed last night with heavy rain, thunder, lightning and
a flooded yard. Safe but a little worried.
I woke up to sunshine and some mist from all the wet.

No sign of our chickens, it's hard to even type about it because
I watched my husband run his car back and forth over
all the surrounding areas for hours and hours yesterday.
He did not give up looking until after 4pm.
We are at a complete loss as to what happened or where they are?
No sign of attack, just a few feathers in the coop but that is normal,
no sign of entry, the gate was locked tight.
I have one last hope they might have gotten blown away or
ran for cover and are coming back?
I will keep y'all updated.
I have no right to be upset, we are VERY blessed, we have
our home and we are dry which is more than I can say for so many
who lost their home, lives, and are still in shelters in TN.

1 day behind on my reveals for Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
and the May kit "Anticipation"
I loved the color scheme for this kit, and
it made me think tropical so of course I had to scrap Hawaii. The Aloha card part I drew with my Cri-Kit pens and then misted it
with my Smooch Spritz (I need to get more I am out!)
Then I added the title and stickled it....I am officially a stickle whore I think LOLThis was a fun kit to work with.

Today I am praying the yard dries out,
the schools have all been closed so I will spend the day with my
beautiful boys and maybe even bake a bit.

~Thank you all for the support yesterday and your genuine kindness
and sweet comments. I really needed/appreciated them~

~Happy Monday~

So much to catch up on from the weekend being gone...
y'all are going to get sick of reading my catch-up blogs LOL

BUUUTTTT, since so many have asked about the chicken coop and chickens
I HAD to update everyone about our dirty dozen and the coop.
This is how far hubby and the boys got on the chicken coop.
This is the back view (because our neighbors have garbage behind it
and no one needs to see that LOL
This hole will be the hatch for me to collect eggs! WOOT! I am excited
just thinking about all those fresh organic eggs!
And here are the Dirty Dozen...
oh how they have grown, I am ready to put them out soon!
They are still adorable to me. But I am ready for a quieter house LOL
So someone come and help hubby get the roof on the coop.
He ran out of wood and we have to go back to the store tonight.

That's all for me today my friends...
I have more to share and a GREAT RAK I need to photograph!
While on my trip I was thinking of you all and I picked up some
great giveaways for the blog, so stay tuned this week
