~New Class Goodies Acrylic Altered Projects~

Happy Birthday my dear friend Dolores!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning my wonderful friends♡♡♡

We had planned on going camping this weekend but the weather
is so awfully hot we decided to put it off. Man it is HOT....
I don't think I could pack enough water for all 5 of us for 3 days!

Instead I decided to spend the day preparing for my next class on the 24th.
I don't usually teach 2 classes in one month but it's a slow summer,
so we decided to break it up.
We are going to make acrylic hair clips/pins. You can
see this cool badge/pin combo from Imaginisce allow you
to have a hair clip OR a pin! :)
Plus we will make this fun headband!
I think that class will be a hoot, it's my first altered project class!
It's only 15.00 and it is July 24th at 2pm
Just call the Scrap Room in Mt Juliet TN to sign up....

Now back to creating, I am ALMOST done with everything for CHA
then I can focus on fun new goodies!
Happy Friday everyone...have a wonderful weekend!

~BBQ Fun, Bean Picking & WINNER!~

Good morning!!!!
Before I start I wanted to share a couple pictures of the boys picking
beans for the VERY FIRST time yesterday, and it was from our garden.

So exciting, I had to catch a couple pictures.
Gage had never picked beans before and he was enamored.
It was so cool picking our own veggies and eating them for dinner.
What a great experience for the boys! :)
We also collected several zucchini and gave 2/3 of them away.

Ok on to my scrappy fun....
I have always scrapped whatever I wanted and today is no different.
We recently purchased a BBQ and it's a huge step for us...
so grown up! hahaha
Momenta had sent me the paper and those super cool alphas,
so I knew right away what I was going to do with them!
You can find the details on the Momenta blog tomorrow....

Ok on to the winner of the embossing strips....

~Made In The USA Layout~

Good morning my crafty friends from all over~

Are you scrapping those holiday photos yet?

Today I used my McGill Silhouette Star Punch, and the awesome
Momenta Metallic Red Alphas for this Made In The USA layout.
It's funny, I had this layout in my head for 2 weeks before I actually
made it, and it turned out almost exactly as I saw it in my head! :)
I punched several stars, then I misted the page with them all over,
the first one I tried I dumped the stars off immediately, and it totally
dripped and smeared, so I did it again and let it set for 15 minutes to dry.
I even used the spritzed stars and popped them up on the page.
I used ClearSnap Smooch Spritz, it is one of my favorites by far.
Then I took my Imaginisce i-rock and placed the red glam rocks all over.
And the title, when I saw these letters from Momenta, I nearly died!!!!
Not only RED but CRIMPED! WOOHOOOOOO!!
*it's the simple things for me* haha

Sometimes I feel like keeping it simple and clean, I was feeling that
way this week. :) Ok off to create my project for the next class on the 24th.
We are going to do an acrylic project YEA~
Happy Tuesday

~Making Vintage Cards W/ Flower Punches~

♡♡Good morning my crafty friends♡♡

Yesterday I sat down and played with my McGill punches again,
last time I made the Cracked "Faux" Ceramic Rose, this time I
made a Hydrangea flower and used it on a vintage style card.
After punching out the flowers, I hand inked each one (painstaking yes
worth it? YES!) then added a pearl in the center of each one with the
Viva Decor Pearl Pen. You have to use a small foam ball cut in half for
these flower, trust me just get the balls LOL I tried other ways with no success.
I used a Samantha Walker/Unity stamp for the title and the papers are
Core'dinations and Webster's Pages. It was a fun little project, I cannot
wait to sit down and make more flowers! :)

I am off to finish this cake for the baseball party, it is
a double layer HUGE baseball cake, I am trying to make fondant for the
first time, I will let you know how it goes and post pictures tomorrow
if I don't flop!! hahaha
Happy Saturday!

~More Card making Fun With Acrylic~

Good morning my wonderful crafty friends!

What a day yesterday, in the town over the way from us...Franklin, TN
they had major flash flooding. I was glued to the news. Crazy
weather already this year, I am ready for rain for my garden but
not crazy flash flooding! haha :)

I am still playing with those new
For this card I used some vintage lace from my friend Gloria,
and I even alcohol inked!!!!
I ran the acrylic through the embossing machine (Cuttlebug) and
then I dropped brown alcohol ink on the cage, and used chalk ink
on the bird. I had to heat set it since I did not have pink Stazon.
Then I added the stickles. It was so much fun to play with.
I am going to request another set of all from Clear Scraps, because
I am sure I have 50 more projects!

Be sure to check out the Tally Scrapper forum too! :)

Wait until you see what I have tomorrow!!!!!
I made more "realistic" looking flowers...not a rose this time but
a Hydrangea...oh la la...LOVES it! I cannot wait to share.

Oh and Clear Scraps has a new giveaway today so go check it out

Huge congrats on your cover project!!! That's incredibly awesome and so very well deserved. I just recently started using my Cricut (even though I bought it nearly 2 years ago lol!) and would love to see a copy of the magazine.

Your new haircut is fab and I have to tell you this is totally ironic because last night I spent about 2 hours googling "short sassy haircuts" because I have had enough of this long drab (and hot!) hair and want something fun and sassy! :)
