Sassy Farm Fresh Chickens!

Good morning my amazingly talented crafty friends!

Can you believe it is the last day of September?

Tomorrow is World Card Making Day and Momenta is hosting a

special blog hop (don't forget to stop by).

Have you been to Tally Scrapper lately?

I am playing in the Survivor challenge and this week's challenge

was to use the October Afternoon line names as the title.

I chose the name "Farm Fresh" because it fit perfectly with

my chickens....I wish I had more eggs photos I would have added them too!

It was so much fun I decided to also use the October Afternoon

5 & Dime line as well as some old Sassafras Lass I had in a box

I actually did alot of cutting on this one, I hand cut all the circles and

made the cardstock button on the side. Then I added the doilies

from an old Tally Scrapper Kit.

You know it felt so good to just sit down and play with paper

no pressure just play for a while and decompress.

Hopefully today my boys will go back to school?? But I am not

sure just yet...it won't really matter because Fall Break begins

tomorrow. A week of mommy fun! LOL

Oh and my 16 yr old (who turned 16 literally 1 day before)

asked me if he can start dating. I can't afford to date my own husband

let alone pay for his dating! LOL

Oh this should be an interesting road....I see a long path ahead! LOL

~I Scrapped!! Survivor Is Full Swing!~

Good morning!!!

I am so excited that my life is finally calming down a little bit and

I was able to sit down and play with paper again! :)

Tally Scrapper is hosting their annual Survivor contest, this time

Christine is running it and I am always inspired by this challenge.

In fact some of my deepest and most creative layouts have come

from these Survivor challenges.

For this challenge we are challenged to create a MAP, on our page

and I came up with this page. I did not follow the example I sort of did

my own thing but it worked! I cannot wait to try it again!

I am so excited about how it turned out and I had to crackle the

photo to give it the whole affect.

I lived in Oregon my entire life, until I turned 30. Both my husband

and I have bad memories from living there and this was a perfect

outlet for me. It's funny because another Tally girl loves Oregon and

made the most creative polar opposite layout.

For me it was alot of pain and a childhood of abuse and adulthood

of nothing but pain. It's hard to not associate my abuse with where

I lived. Of course I cannot blame Oregon, but when I think

of being there I only feel and see pain now.

I hope that changes as I am farther away now.

Journaling: I spent my life in Oregon and it holds so many bad memories.

I can't blame the entire state but thinking of

Oregon really is a state of pain for me.

Good morning my crafty friends,

I don't get many chances anymore to just scrap for fun for me,

but yesterday I snuck away and just had fun with the new Tally kit

I designed for July!

It's no secret I love Sassafras Lass papers, and I really wanted to

design a kit that had Sass in it before summer ended.

I had alot fo fun playing with the goodies inside.

Plus it was a no stress not for work layout, just funky fun and 100% me! :)

I was feeling it after my hair cut this week.

This is all the Sassy Vintage Dreams Kit except the title and

rose brads I had in my stash.

Today I am prepping for our 4th shin dig, and yesterday I had a fun

day with my girlyfriend in the pool. It's always nice

to take a day off to relax and scrap. Happy Friday!

before I begin I wanted to take a minute to ask for prayer.

It was a very long weekend full of fun and sadness in our home.

A dear friend of mine lost her mother this weekend, please

say a little prayer for my friend even though you don't know her.

She lives in Florida and this is a painful time for her.

Her family can use all the uplifting and prayer she can get.

I am running late today because we spent all of yesterday at the

ballpark then at home putting up an above ground pool.

And, guess what? we still got it crooked! LOL

yesterday as we watched the "men" put the pool up.

It was a great family day....I can't wait for summer!

~One Crazy Monday!~

Good morning my friends.

Finally I was able to sit down and scrap last night after a crazy evening.

We had baseball practice and some crazy lady had a spatula to whack her kids.

I needed to scrap to de-stress!

I made this page with that "infamous" picture of hubby smoking.

I don't care, I love this picture! LOL

Almost everything was from the "This Is How We Roll"May Kit

from Tally Scrapper.

I love the sewing pattern paper flowers from Studio Calico and there

were SIX flowers in the kit!!!! :) Makes me happy.

I used my own alphabet and covered them with the dimensional pearl,

you cannot tell in the photo but it's pretty cool in person!

Anyways...it's a good memory and even if he quits we will have

this layout. :)

This week we have alot of goodness coming up including new

items from Imaginisce. Remember the i-rock? They came out with

brand new stones, so I will be making some projects with those!

Also I have a special project I just finished for the Cricut Circle...

I can't share it yet but hopefully soon!

Good morning!!! Ok admit it, you knew it was coming...

that's right a BASEBALL Layout! :)

I have not been snapping many pictures this year because I am

keeping score and pre-occupied. But I did manage to snap Justice going on

to the field the other day.

I used the Tally Scrapper May Kit (will be up for pre-order soon!)

I really wanted to make it sort of vintage with a POP.

Because baseball is so timeless and classic. The picture just melts my heart,

I nearly bawl every time I see it because he was so serious that day.

Oh I also used an sheet of 8.5X11 from the Kraft Outlet as the base.

It's a simple but heartfelt layout, I had alot of fun making.

~Not All Cards Have To Be Folded...Right?! haha~

Good morning my crafty friends!

I missed blogging yesterday because I spent the day

Saturday out with friends and watching Black Swan which

was fantastic! I love horror movies, movies with suspense and movies

with a Hitchcock feel and I was totally wowed! It was a lovely day.

Ok back to crafting right? :)

I made this card using the Love in Paris Tally Scrapper Kit

for February and I love that it has a sheet of acrylic in it!

Everything except the buttons were from the kit....

This is the back for writing.

You know it is RARE that I say I LOVE one of my cards

but I genuinely love this card, it's so funky~

The acrylic is from Clear Scraps of course...and I love the acrylic

from Clear Scraps, it makes me smile ♥

Oh and I used my Glue Arts Perma Tac on the card too.

I was testing it out on the acrylic with paper and it worked perfectly!

I had trouble with other glues burning the acrylic and

also I lost 10 acrylic projects alone last year from yellowing and cracking

but this Perma Tac worked, so I might have to try it some more.

Ok I am off to finish projects and hit the Fed Ex office!!

~Happy Crafty Saturday~

Boy it has been a busy week!

Good morning my crafty friends :)

I have been so busy creating this week and with the kids home half

the time....OY! :)

You know I took over Tally Scrapper and when I did

it meant I would be designing the kits for Tally this is going to

be my very first kit...it's called Love In Paris.

Since I have first dibs * Since it comes to my house LOL*

I was able to create with it first :)

Not a very romantic LO I know, but I have wanted to scrap the

pictures of my son and his Asthma for so long. I hate his

breathing issues and how often he is sick and on his machine.

It's such a HUGE part of our life and I wanted to document it

you know I document everything. I have to admit it was

hard to scrap this page, I cried alot. This picture I took was

heart wrenching. It was right after her had fallen out of the 2 story

window and survived....we had just gotten him back to normal

then the Asthma began. I was so thankful to have him alive and so

upset he was in pain yet again.

Anyways....the kit is beautiful right? LOL

Guess what it has in it???

ACRYLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!

It goes up for sale February 1st.

~Big News Today!~

Good morning my scrap-a-rific friends !!

I have some incredible new today...

A few weeks ago I was approached about a new venture.

A site/store/forum I had been a member on for a while now

and in fact went to meet the girls last July for a weekend getaway...

well they asked me if I would like to take over.

The owners we changing and they wanted me to represent Tally Scrapper

becoming the President and face of Tally, taking care of the site

and creating new fresh kits and running the day to day operations.

I had done this before for my own private forum but nothing with a store.

I think this will be a wonderful adventure and great opportunity to

really bring my own personal touch to an already amazing community!!

This is the silly video I made for the introduction :)

I have already created a February Kit -Love In Paris

it is on order and on it's way to my house to kit up.

Things are going to go slow at first but as we get everything changed over

it is going to be an amazing site just like it used to be with a little

extra PINK in it *wink*.

~Happy Hump Day, So many things coming up this week!~

Good morning to ya!
Today is a short day for school so I will be spending the day with my boys!
And I imagine their new best friend...BOOKS!
I am so happy my middle son is old enough to be involved in books now.
Every week we hit the library and he picks out 4 books, I swear
within 2 days he needs a refill heheh

I wanted to share this picture of him because
I fell in love with the candid shot...
So grown up...

Tally had a challenge to use 20 different manufacturers
on one layout, so I decided to play along for fun
I am not 100% happy, to me it looks a little discombobulated
but it's not for anything paid or a DT call, so I guess I will live LOL
Just kidding....see?... I do scrap for myself for fun some days! :)
