~Chicken Trails & Frame For Class On Sunday!~

Good morning my friends,

I wanted to share a little bit of chicken story this morning,

as I had been planning to but got busy.

As some of you know we expanded our chicken coop field

drastically in spring, we basically quadrupled the size, so they would

always have fresh grass to run around in and a bush.

Well something very fun and cute happened (well cute to me)

they created "Chicken Trails" LOL

Little trails through the grass to get to their bush for shade

and their little holes to keep cool.
Can you see the trails? There are about 15 of them and they all use them

They are all over the fenced areas.

Remember this little guys??? He has grown and he is a HANDSOME

Feller!! hehehe My husband loves him.

You know he is not mean either, he stands away from me

and stays away with not a speck of anger or meanness.

Good thing too or he would be our dinner! LOL

Anyways I just wanted to share the cute chicken trails with y'all,

I just love them and find them fascinating.

On to craftiness......

I had not had time to post this but this is the frame with sunflowers

we will be making on Sunday (this Sunday) at the Scrap Room!

The Scrap Room is the most amazing store, I have to tell you,

they totally appreciate every person who walks in the door.

They are so kind to their teachers and so personal!

If you have not been, our classes are always so fun and easy going.

Every time I teach a class it is a STRESS FREE fun experience!

~Monday? Already??! Crafting For The Home~

Good morning my crafty friends!

I played with my McGill punches this weekend at my class in Mt. Juliet

and this is the inspiration for my next class.

An altered frame I made. It won't be exactly like this but

we will be making the sunflower and using a frame. :)

I made this using 100% Momenta goodies, I love the paper pads

they have and all the rich amazing card stock.

I admit it, I am ready for fall, bring on the boots babay!

*On a side note*

I don't usually watch MTV but last night I caught some of the

MTV Music wards Show

and it was so cool to see the "plus size" represented!

Dancers on the stage mixed in with everyone else. YEA thanks MTV.

That made me smile last night.

~Summer ice Cream Fun~

Good morning my friends,

I did get a small window to create this weekend,

and what I played with was McGill punches and Momenta paper!

I made this cute little ice cream cone card.

I wanted to sit down and play more but got busy with the fam~

Well worth it though!! :) Now today I will have a chance to play

while the kids are at school.

I used the Let's Party Pyramid Pad from Momenta for the card/cones,

and McGill Punch for the Cones, then I used Beacon Fabri-Tac for the

assembly and Glue Arts Raise'Ns for the dimension!

Don't forget about the CRICUT MACHINE GIVEAWAY I have going

on in August for my blog friends!!

~Momenta Card-stock & McGill Punches!~

Good morning!!!!

I am in a mess today because the boys all head back to school

full time, but before I get in a tizzy I wanted to post this card

I made this weekend using Momenta Card Stock and McGill Punches.

I will be the first to admit I had never tried Momenta Card Stock but

can I just say it ROCKS!!!! I love it.

I used it to make the sunflowers, along with the

McGill Paper Blossoms Punches. You might notice I changed

the original design...well I did because I like the green petals

behind the sunflower, to me it looks more realistic.

It was more work but totally worth it (in my humble opinion).

Ok I am off to create some new flower designs, and get these boys

off to school!! Have a wonderful Monday!

~Fun With Acrylic & Sunflowers~

Good morning my friends!!

I had fun yesterday in this heat wave, I just sat down in my AC house

and played with my Clear Scraps acrylic and punches.

My gf grows flowers for the local fair contests, and I made this magnetic frame for

her fridge. Now she can showcase her flower photos when she wins! :)

I used the McGill punches to create the sunflower and the Momenta Paper

for the frame, Core'dinations paper for the flower

then the Clear Scraps acrylic for the clear insert.

I hope she likes it, I had so much fun making it!

I am off to pack orders for Tally Scrapper, we had several that ordered the

August kit yesterday but I had baseball so I did not get them all packed up.

It's going to be a long day in the house, I don't dare venture out in this heat!

~Friday Card Making~

Good morning!!

I was able to sit down and craft yesterday, it felt so good!

Today I have a bunch of girlfriends coming over to help me with

an extra large project, I am making projects for every Archivers store.

It's going to be a great day! :)

This card I made using the McGill punches to create the Hydrangea,

and I also used Pink By Design Stamps!

Pink By Design was so cool to send me a few samples to try out

and you know I have been TRYING to stamp more, so I asked them

for this chicken wire stamps because quite frankly...I LOVE IT! haha

I wanted it to look like the flowers were hanging onto the wire background.

I also used their Hang In There sentiment stamp. I love her sentiment stamps,

they pretty much cover everything! :) I will have to see about doing a

Pink By Design Stamp Giveaway~~ What do you think?? :)

I guess that's it, if I am going to make more cards I better start stamping too!

~Making Vintage Cards W/ Flower Punches~

♡♡Good morning my crafty friends♡♡

Yesterday I sat down and played with my McGill punches again,

last time I made the Cracked "Faux" Ceramic Rose, this time I

made a Hydrangea flower and used it on a vintage style card.

After punching out the flowers, I hand inked each one (painstaking yes

worth it? YES!) then added a pearl in the center of each one with the

Viva Decor Pearl Pen. You have to use a small foam ball cut in half for

these flower, trust me just get the balls LOL I tried other ways with no success.

I used a Samantha Walker/Unity stamp for the title and the papers are

Core'dinations and Webster's Pages. It was a fun little project, I cannot

wait to sit down and make more flowers! :)

I am off to finish this cake for the baseball party, it is

a double layer HUGE baseball cake, I am trying to make fondant for the

first time, I will let you know how it goes and post pictures tomorrow

if I don't flop!! hahaha

~Cracked Ceramic Floral Rose Tutorial~

Good morning my friends ♡♡♡

**Tomorrow I will announce the i-rock WINNER from Monday**

I love all things vintage and when I made this Floral Rose with

the McGill punches, I knew I wanted to take it one step further

and play with the idea of making it a "Ceramic" looking rose.

I won't give you step by step on the making of the rose,

every McGill punch has that, but I will tell you know I made this.

I will be making videos later on as I go one with McGill.

In the photo I forgot the snowflake punch for the base but everything else

you will need is right here.

I used pink card stock, and green card stock, I actually used a very light pink.

First I created the rose from the LIGHT pink card stock,

I used my Imaginisce i-bond to make it stiff and stand tall.

Then I colored the entire rose with my copic marker and allowed it to dry.

Coloring the rose with the copics will allow the crackle draw some of the colors

out and it will make the rose multi colored later on when the crackle dries.

After about an hour I took my Crackle Effects from Ranger, and I carefully

coated the entire rose, making sure to get it underneath every petal.

I also punched green leaves and did not color them.

I let it dry for 24 hours. After that I double check for spots I missed.

When it is completely dry it looks like a cracked ceramic rose.

Then with my i-bond and the badge/pin combo from Imaginisce

I adhered the rose to the badge/pin and that was it!

I don't think I can capture the true "ceramic" look that you see

in person. It really does look like I took it off of a plate from the 1920's.

I am excited, and I know it will last for years! :)

I think I might even give it to my girlyfriend who loves all thing vintage too!
