Altered Floral Box Fun With Xyron!

Happy Friday friends,

I hope you had an amazing week. I was so busy creating this week
and before I headed to Ohio I wanted to share this creation with you.
I created this altered box that you just might see pop up on TV soon...
well you never know...*wink* LOL
I was very excited to play with my Xyron box of adhesive and turn
it into this! This box went from this...
TO THIS! A little gold spray paint- some wonderful
grungy vintage papers, a lot of adhesive and flowers folding.
A few metal accents later.

Now how did I turn these flowers into this??

I ungrouped each flower- and sized them from small to large
then I crinkled and layered them!
It really was a fun project and I am very excited to share.
I genuinely love my Xyron Adhesives and my digital die cuts!
I hope you love my box as much as I do!
Happy Friday friends-

For this project I used: Xyron Adhesives
(almost every adhesive in the kit PLUS Xyron 1/4" Double Sided Tape)
Krylon Paint, Connie Crystal Pearls, Vintage Buttons,
Metal Charms from Momenta, Alcohol Inks, Mister Huey Spritz.

All About Love...And Autism...

Good morning friends,
I have two VERY special project to share today that is so near and dear to my heart.
It's not often I get to combine my crafting with my life and right now
my life is all about my kids and my son's Autism.
As we learn about his diagnosis and life that surrounds it, it is just what
we are living now. When I saw this stamp set that Michelle created with
Avocado Arts it was more than special to me!!

My first card is this Autism Love card I created and it's definitely
all about Autism and support- Love Comes In All Shapes And Sizes
is an amazing sentiment and perfect for this card.
I used copper and "cyan" inks (my son's favorite color) to
stamp the puzzle pieces. I used CutCardstock to create the card itself.
I put my heart and soul into this month's projects-

This set is so versatile- you could really use it all the way across
the board from cards and scrapbook pages to mixed media.

I also created this more CAS Card but you know I had to mix
it up a little and pop some paper out of that typewriter!
And inside I used a coordinating heart.
I just love this set!
Such a great owner Michelle is and always thinking of causes outside of the box-
I really would appreciate if you take the time to go and comment letting her know
how amazing this set is- right here
It means a lot to me that Autism is in the public eye! :)

BLOG HOP Free Cut File+GIVEAWAY+Bendy Card Tutorial...

Good morning my crafty friends,

I am VERY excited to share today a brand new project and
There is a great Spellbinders prize WOOT!
And as always a FREE free SVG/Silhouette file
*Prize photos below*

If you are coming from Allie's Blog then you are in the right place!
This is my FIRST project since being back on this amazing team
and I am sure it is just a taste of what is to come.
Our theme is snowflakes and I was so inspired with this lace-
I sort of took it in a different direction and went crazy!! :)
*Shocking I know* LOL

Samantha created these amazing cut files called "Bendy" Cards
and I could not resist cutting one right away and creating it for the blog hop!
Now there is a FULL tutorial on SW blog for assembling these Bendy Cards
And I wanted to share how I created my version too.

on my Silhouette using Kraft Cardstock paper.
I also cut these "XO" Hearts using red card stock on my Silhouette as well.
I ran the hearts through the sticker maker wrong side down-
then coated in Ultrafine red glitter.
Then I used a high tack tape to add a glitter stripe to the bendy card layers.
I sprinkled on the glitter.
Then used the same high tack tape to assemble the card.
AFTER it was assembled I added the pearls and lace- because the
pearls needed to be added while it was bent- they kept popping off when
I added them laying flat.

I adhered the hearts to an iridescent shimmery vellum paper-
then adhere them to the card itself using foam squares.
Then I added the lock and key.

Here the card is open and it's perfect to write in or stamp inside.
I love the layers and I am completely addicted I can tell you after just one!

The next blog on the blog hop is Diane Fisher- just in case
the image doesn't take you to her blog here is a direct link!

If you missed what was behind me- just head to Samantha's blog
and start from the beginning!

I hope you enjoyed my post today and get hopping!

Hello Monday and hello friends,
I have another BRAND NEW design fresh from CHA to share today.
My sweet boys stopped playing baseball this year and have
moved on to other sports but I still have plenty of photos. When my not so little
guy saw this album he begged me to make one for him- so I did! :)

Oh the memories- we love baseball in our home- sad to see it
go but loving the sweet memories in the book! :)
I even used a real cut up baseball on the cover.
The new designs from Clear Scraps are amazing- be sure to check them all out!
Happy Monday again and thank you for coming by to say hello-

Triple Heart Hair Bow Ribbon Tutorial

Good morning friends, Happy Friday! :)
I don't usually make hair bows and clips but I have a special
little girl who has just consumed my heart and she loves LOVES
headbands so I have started making her hair goodies.

For this project I used the 3/8" Dazzle Ribbons Unlimited Ribbon in PEACH
It is a beautiful cross grain ribbon with moonstone glitter sealed in.
And the best part is- no heating the ends for a seal! Just cut and GO!

Each one 1" shorter than the last. Each one trimmed to the same slanted shape.
Glue ends together as seen in photo below.
Pull the middle down into a point and adhere each one.
 Adhere to clip for headband.
Layer 2 or even 3 for a pretty heart effect.
Also these would make fantastic butterfly wings!

And I used the awesome Dazzle ribbon that needs no sealing
so it makes hair bow creating- a SNAP!
Please go check it out and I would love if you commented or shared it-
Ribbons Unlimited is a home grown business that can use
your crafty support! :)
