~Good morning Sunday! It's RAK DAY~

Good morning all you lovely creative crafters!

Please check out Imaginisce today...you might see someone you know?? LOL
HERE

I have a new project today and before you say anything...
I know I know, they are bookmarks and everyone makes bookmarks
but let me tell you why I am sharing them today.Do you have children in school or church? You know I have a 2nd grader, and in class they have a
"Treasure Box" the teacher is always looking for parents to
buy candy, or donate old toys for it because every Friday if they
had a great week they get a prize.
My son came home and said
"MOM the treasure box is so boring I don't want another piece of candy...
can't you do something fun for it??"
Mom to the rescue!Bookmarks...easy, inexpensive, uses up those fun stickers,
and uses scraps up...I can't think of a better project!
So here is what I used
Imaginisce Live Loud Collection Live Loud Ribbons 2"X6" scraps Rub-ons Stickers Tombow Metal Glue my Purple Cows Laminator
I can guarantee you that you will be the hit of the class/Sunday School
with these FUN and cute bookmarks, plus they encourage reading.

OK on to the RAK, I know you are waiting LOL
I have the cutest album here for someone! :)
Cosmo Cricket Jack's Album
so leave me a comment and Tuesday I will pick a winner.
let me just remind you COME BACK TOMORROW
because we have a Purple Cows St. Patricks Day BLOG HOP!!!
Many prizes, and a big prize at the end!!

OK I am off to tend to the chickens...(more on that tomorrow hehe)

~Fabulous Friday~

Good morning!
My week has been full of crafting, just not paper crafting :)
Sewing, sewing, and sewing some more!
I finished all my orders, now today I am off to work at school all day.
I did manage to finish a special project!
A special apron for a Charity Crop that benefits Lupus.
I am going to "try" to make one more before my trip on the 27th.
It is very vintage and very easy to make, I will post more details later on :)
I woke up to crazy thunder and lightning, so it's a wet one today!
Thanks Aymee for the email, I miss ya girl.

~Thanks for popping by to see what I am up to today~

~Thank heaven's I can see the weekend approaching!~

Good morning my beautiful friends!!
I am the Blogger today for Helmar, so if you get a chance to check it
out please do check it out! :) Always helps to have a couple
comments to let them know I am working it, cause y'all know I love my Helmar!
HERE

This is a snippet of what I have going on with Helmar today :)I am so happy the weekend is coming, I have been hours without
a phone and so frustrated today...thanks heaven's the week is ending LOL

I wanted to share with my online friends, some fun moments
from this week.

My favorite picture of the week

We began the week with Baseball for the boys
and their firsts practices! Unfortunately the practices were all after
dark in the evening, so I was not able to get very many "good shots"
But I did catch Gage a couple times without other children around.
The other battle with baseball pictures is not taking shots with other children
so I won't invade their privacy. I still managed to snag a couple :)
Gage with his coach who said he was the biggest kid on the team
and then he learned to bat, he was going to be the powerhouse! hehe

Our other new adventure this week has been BIKE RIDING
It has been MORE than a blessing watching Andrew teach the
boys to ride a bike this week.
He was so patient and they even worked on the bikes together,
I have waited for this day for so long, it brought me to tears more than one time
this week. Watching him guide them and help them to grow
what more could I ask for?

Gage really got the hang of it, they both are still on training wheels
but riding steady and with smiles!

I think hubby fell in love with a little girl in baseball, this sweet
little red head girl, I watched him teach her to catch, it was a total
AWWWW moment...wish I could have caught that on film. :)

Ok off to finish sewing Oh which reminds me
I also made another dress yesterday, a custom order, extra long
for a tall customer :)
Ok that's it for me, I promise LOL
~THANK YOU for stopping by and sharing my life~

~Hump Day crafting....

Good morning!
The new Dirty Scraps Challenge is up Challenge #5
Here is my layout for it,
The challenge is all about dreams, and what dreams
you might have had that were shattered or
just your dreams for life...it was a fun challenge!

I am totally digging these ZapDots lately.
I used to scrap with them all the time and hand cut everything
It was fun to do it again.
Yesterday I made 3 dresses and cut 2 more
looks like my sewing is back into full swing!
I love summer and I love getting my hands into the sewing machine
and creating again, I miss it when it's packed away.

Well, that's it for me today, busy day ahead, I am going
to the school to work today.
They asked me to start coming 2 days a week instead of 1.
Now let's hope it's sunny! :)

~Attracting Chickens...hehehe~

Good morning all my amazing crafty friends!
I spent most of yesterday just sewing,
I broke down and made some pillowcases for my boys
they have been asking since we made them for Conkerr Cancer,
so it was time to make them some too.

It is MY DAY for the Helmar post. Go check it out!!
Using up those snowy pictures :)

How are your My Memories mini books coming? Is anyone else making one?
Are you having fun with it? I know I am! I even put a little notebook
in the car to keep a record of the cute things the boys say.
This weekend was chalked full of fun, like this little page
"Chicken Attractin' " LOL Oh my goodness I nearly fell out the car~!
I used Helmar zapdots for dimension.
I used them on the journaling spot, this is going to be a
fun thick mini book! :) They come in black, white and clear,
I cannot wait to try them on something more transparent.
This paper is the My Little Shoebox paper, I am finally using
this die cuts I won forever ago!
Yesterday was a great day, beautiful and full of sunshine, plus the kids
were learning to ride bikes, I think I took 50 pictures.
I will share a few after I get to editing them.
Remember Dirty Scraps is coming up tomorrow!
Now back to getting these kids off to school.

~Have a beautiful day~

~Just another amazing Monday~

Good morning my crafty friends,
I did nothing remotely crafty this weekend, except sew...
and my son had his very first baseball practice.
I loved every second of this weekend with the boys.

Since there is nothing too crafty to share this morning
I will just share a couple things coming up!
#1 is the huge blog hop with Helmar!
Not only will there be a huge prize at the end but also I will be
giving away my favorite glue! The one I rave about all the time
Helmar 450 Quick Dry

#2 Look to Helmar on the 11th I have a blog post coming with
a fun project to scrap those snowy pictures in a quick easy way.

#3 keep an eye out for my latest project and how to make it
yourself on Purple Cows Laminated gift baskets...I love
how easy they are and make a baked good gift seem
so extra special. :) This is a great time of year to give some spring cheer
to those wintery blue-filled neighbors :)This project and the project sheet to go with it should be coming up soon!
That's it for me today, I have a lovely day planned in front of my sewing machine
making a couple aprons for auction at a Lupus Charity crop.
Have a great and beautiful day

~Sewing Sunday & RAK Winner~

Good morning!
I spent yesterday cleaning up from the sickies, and I snuck
off to the fabric shop because I have a couple projects to make,
when I ran across this fabric! I feel in love and it is knit
so I bought it for myself (which is rare).
I sat down and made my self a maxi--dress.
LOVVEEE IT!!
I have not sewn for myself in a very long time, so this was fun.
I am going to buy some more of this great fabric and make some to sell too.
Maybe some tops and shorter dresses.

Now I know you are wondering who won the Rusty Pickle RAK right?
Blogger sPaRkLiNg sCrApBoOkS said...

Another RAK! thanks for the chance.
Glad you guys are feeling better. This layout is awesome.
You know, I tend to focus on only scrapbooking "the happy" stuff. But that's not reality is it! Not mine anyways! Thanks for the inspiration, I'm always learning from you.............xOxO

Send me your addy and I will get it out in the mail this week!!

~Friday!! finally....lets have some fun RAK!~

Good morning lovelies
Happy Friday!
This has been such a long week I am thankful it is Friday,
so let's have some fun!
Nothing warms my heart more than giving away some scrappy fun.
I have a set of Rusty Pickle Panama Jack paper and die cuts for ya!
So leave a comment today and I will randomly
choose a winner on SUNDAY!

This is my last layout for Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
March Kit "Nostalgia"
Love this kit!
It's always a struggle to scrap my childhood pictures,
BUT you know me I just put it all out there for the world to see
I think I need to do a page that says
"She wears her heart on paper" instead of on her sleeve LOL
I never feel angry or sad making these pages, just reflective
and feel like I am expressing my emotions that normally
you do not get to say.

Now back to my boys and a weekend of cleaning out this flu
bug we had all week...have a beautiful weekend!

~The bigger picture~

Good morning my friends.
Amidst tending to sick babies this week
I had some lovely news.
Have you heard of ConKerr Cancer?
It is an AMAZING charity that distributes pillowcases to hospitals
for children all over the US.

“ConKerr Cancer: A Case for Smiles” was started when Ryan Kerr was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at the age of twelve. Despite his illness - and many, many trips to the hospital - Ryan lived a full life of school, sports and friends. To make his hospital room cheerier, his mom Cindy began making fun, whimsical pillowcases to brighten up his day and put a smile on his face. Ryan liked them so much that Cindy started making pillowcases for the other children in the Oncology Unit. In a short time, the pillowcase project grew in amazing ways and has provided more than 160,000 pillowcases to sick children. Thousands of volunteers from across North America and South Africa have joined in so that ConKerr has more than 100 chapters serving over 150 hospitals.

This wonderful charity was introduced to me and the other
Fiskateers by the amazing Rebecca Peck, and she
really put a fire in me and the other Fiskateers to join in and help.
I was making pillowcases and found out they did not have a coordinator for
the Nashville area, after speaking with Cindy, I will be getting my
coordinator package sometime next week!
I am so looking forward to this journey, even hubby is excited to help.
You can go to the website and find a place to drop off pillowcases
you can donate fabric, you can just cut them if you want to!

So please do check it out, and you WILL be hearing more from
this Middle TN gal very soon!

One more layout from my emotional DT work at
Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
I am almost afraid to share this one...it touches so deep
and I worry it will detour people and my craft work....but this is me
and my life 100% :) so I go on...
I get so many of those comments
"wow interesting" but you know me
it is not an angry layout it is just reality.
I never understood how having 6 children did not help my mother
to stand strong and stop abusing, because for me the love of my children
would never allow me to continue that abuse.
I guess her pain ran a little too deep. I don't think
I am capable of understanding it completely.
I do feel an enormous amount of sorrow for her but also
there is always some sadness in my heart that I cannot explain to
someone who has always had a mother since I never did.
Anyways, that's me today...just wondering and reflecting.
This has been the MOST intense series of layouts I have ever done.
I wish I could say all this to my parents, but since they are not
available to listen I guess My scrapbook is a great place to put it all.

That's it for me today...I hope you look into ConKerr
I know all you crafty people can make a huge difference!
Off to my sick boys, wish me luck! hehe

~Have a great day~

~Hump day is here....fun news to share!~

Good morning all you amazing crafters!
In the midst of being sick and my children coming down with
the flu one by one, I have some great news to share!
RIGHT HERE!
Yep that's right :) You are looking at the newest DT member for
ClearScraps! I so love acrylic, this will be fun!

Here is another layout from my Scrapbooking From The Inside Out DT work
This month's kit was jam packed with goodies including this laser
cut paper from Basic Grey and another one as well!
Nostalgia was the theme so I took an old picture of my youngest
and reflected on the day he was born...
Not hard to find joy in this memory!
I wanted to balance out all the other "Nostalgia" in my life with a
fun and loving page as well because my life is beautiful....now.

Back to my sick boys and hopefully mending their sick momma :)
~Have a beautiful day~
~Thanks for sharing with me and my excitement~

~Happy Tuesday~

Good morning my lovelies!

I received an email from Bad Girls yesterday
and they are featuring me as the Artist if the Month!
I think that is so cool, never would have thought they would have picked me!
http://www.badgirlskits.com/mb/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=9635

I was on a RARE card making kick this weekend
I do not usually like my cards let alone make them
but this LIVE LOUD collections from Imaginisce really got me
scrapping! I sat down and made a layout and 2 cards like it was nothing :)
This flower I used the Punches for the i-top
Aren't these fun colors??! Love em!
I also love the music and robots, so it could be for a boy or girl!

The other projects I have been working on...
the Nostalgia kit (March Kit) from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out
LOVED digging so deep and looking back.
This layout is about my ex husband
Not in an angry perspective but sort of in wonder?
I mean he was so terribly violent and broke my back in two places
he damaged my body beyond repair, leaving me unconscious more
than one time, so I had to ask myself...Who Haunts Him?
I just wonder...not angry anymore, just wonder.....

Nothing like a great emotional kit to release your
inner thoughts to the world right?! :) hehehe

I feel cleansed.

OK off to do my motherly duties, making sure
my house is tidied and my dinner is cooking.
Have a GREAT Tuesday, I mean it!

~Thanks for stopping by~

~It's the 1st! Time for some fun~

Good morning my lovely amazing friends!
You know I wait for the first like a kid in a candy store!

I cannot wait for the first and all the yumminess from
Scrapbooking From The Inside Out & Imaginisce!March!
IMAGINISCE,
I got a big box yesterday and I am dying to dig into it.
In the meantime this is my interpretation of the sketch for March!
You know they have a sketch every month now and
you can play along to win, so please check their blog out and get to scrapping!
If you play along I would love to see your version!

The March Kit theme from SFTIO is NOSTALGIA love that,
it really made me dig DEEP! Let me tell ya.
I have so few pictures from my childhood so scrapping them
is difficult and I don't attempt it often, but I wanted to go all out
after all SFTIO is all about scrapping emotion
and this is MY emotion.
Honestly I don't even know if this picture is me, but
it is one of just a few I have so I scrapped about it.
It's very sad, but it is also just my past so why not remember it and embrace it.
Love the colors of this kit, so expressive!
Stay tuned I have a few more to share!(close up of the kits here)

Back to the scrap table, I am working on another Helmar Project! :)

Have an amazing Monday!
~Thank you for stopping by I love ya for it!~

~Sunday is here, and so is crop time~

Good morning my lovely friends,
I had such a nice day yesterday, we went to the library...
we spent the day as a family shopping, cooking, laughing.
It was a good day.

To top it all off Fiskateers is hosting a crop
so I went ahead and got out my tools and started playing along.
I made these recipe cards using October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket.I love making recipe cards but in order to fit into my box I need them
one dimensional...but I added some dimension anyways LOL
Here are 2 cards I made for the crop.
They are the LUCY BIRD line from Imaginisce. Now I do not even come close to claiming I am a card maker
but I like them, they are fun and cute plus they were just for me
no DT work just for fun so no pressure :)

Hope your weekend is amazing and you spend it with
someone or someone(s) special.

TOMORROW!! I am so excited for tomorrow!
not only is the NEW Sketch challenge for Imaginisce going to be posted
BUT the new Kit for Scrapbooking From the Inside Out
and my reveals! They wore me out this time, very intense so I am
excited to share!
Back to the family for me :)

~Thankful Saturday~

Good morning all you beautiful crafty people!
It is going to be a great day because finally my hubby has a day off!
He has been working 15-17 hour days all week which means
momma is working 16-18 hour days, I think we all need a day off!

Remember the MY MEMORIES Book? HERE
Well, I have had so much fun making those mini 5X7 pages!
Have you made any yet??
I want to see them. Here is one I made last night.
Yes...I know...I scrapped this picture, but I also wanted to be able to
go to my MY MEMORIES book and flip through and see this picture
and remember this moment, so I went ahead and scrapped a mini page of it.
I love this whole thing! I cannot wait to take it when I travel.

Are you wondering what these are??
Guess what?? They are called GIMMECLIPS
and I was sharing them with a gf in NY who called me this week
and said "Hey what are those hair clips called? I found them in Target!!"
She had bought them for her daughter.
I love them....they are from the same company that makes Imaginisce.
And what a great idea, none of the flowers go to waste! I love that!
Plus they are super cute!
And my thankful list for the week....

#1 BOOKS....I have recently began to read again
(I used to read so much before I had children but the time really slipped
away after they were born) I have found my love of reading once again.
I loved reading Shutter Island last week and Heart Shaped Box *happy*
#2 WORK, as much as hubby worked this week
and as tired as we feel how can I not be thankful
for his job especially in this economy.
#3 Bare Minerals Makeup
This stuff makes me happy, what else can I say?
#4 A LICE FREE HOME!
After a huge scare this week with the school sending home
lice letters, and shaving the boys heads...we found out we are lice free!
WOOT! And my amazing cooperative boys who don't mind
shaving their heads and sporting the new cool bald look!
#5 TOOTH FAIRY
Last but not least we had a traumatic incident this week
Poor little Gage (seen above) who has been clinging on to
4 front teeth instead of two, well daddy popped out those 2
bottom teeth and it was a horrible mess, but thank heavens
for brave boys, brave daddies and rich tooth fairies!!!
when you lose 2 teeth at one time...and they are
your very first teeth, did you know the Tooth Fairy leaves you
One 5.00 bill
One 1.00 bill
One quarter
One Dime
One Nickel
AND
One Penny
Many the Tooth Fairy has been investing well! LOL

That's it for me today, have a GREAT day!

~Thank YOU for stopping by I love ya for it!~
~Pinky~
