~Scrappy Gratitude Sunday~

Good morning my friends!! This is my gratitude Sunday!

I have so many friends all over the world from New Zealand to Africa
I am very blessed that the scrapbooking community is so amazing.

Today I wanted to share a couple of stories with you.
The first one about this card. This is a card/package I received from
Tracy in New Zealand last week.
It's just lovely. If you look below you will see what she wrote.
I am absolutely humbled by this package. Tracy lost her husband last year
they have 2 small children,
it was very tragic and my prayers went to her and her family, I don't think she
will mind me sharing part of her story.
I always knew by speaking out about my abuse and struggles that it surely
would help at least one woman who had been abused or assaulted, in my wildest
dreams I never considered it might help someone who was grieving
or had loss in their life. I am so humbled and grateful that she
sent me this note. I sat in my kitchen and cried for a good 10 minutes
as I cry right now typing this.

Sometimes I wonder if taking a stand and speaking out and risking
myself is worth it, then I get a note in the mail like this, or an email
and I realize that in 20 years I will STILL talk about abuse and my past
not because I am not healing or over it BUT because EVERYONE needs to
see that it is OK to express yourself and be heard no matter what the pain.

Tracy, you amaze me, thank you my friend, you inspire me to
be ME always and stay strong even on the hard days.♡♡♡

The next story.

I just got home from baseball yesterday and there was a small package
VERY unexpected package from one of the Tally Scrappers BREE.
I wish WISH I had my camera and used it then because the package was
wrapped in lace and so vintage, I LOVED it!
Anyways it was a journaling book (hand made) and this card.
It thanked me for taking over Tally Scrapper and it said
that maybe I would like to use this book in my purse to record memories
of the boys in it! What a FABULOUS idea! In fact I am keeping it in my van!!
Bree is another amazingly strong woman who has struggled in the last
year with illness, yet she found time to make me a book, and send it.
I am humbled and honored that she set aside time for this project.
You know Tally was a labor of love for me, I love the people in Tally
and I did not want to see it shut down. It is an unpaid position and honestly
it's alot of work!LOL I am not going to lie to ya! BUT I met Christine in
Texas and she was SO honest and amazing, I loved her from the word go.
And she had created a site that allowed scrapbookers to be FREE and
express themselves freely. Kind of like me, full on balls to the wall expression
through art. I love it so much, it doesn't feel like work it feels like home.
These little mementos and thank you-s, they keep me going on the hard
and busy days that pull you down.
No my life is not all roses and sugar sprinkles BUT I am VERY blessed
with amazing people around and I want to say

"Just keep going even if it's dark because really you will see light
eventually you just have to have your eyes open when it comes"

Thanks for coming by today, I love you and hope you have a friend or
5 in the world who notice what you so and appreciate you for who you are.♡

**My Inspiration**
I'm not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let'n you know that, you're not alone
Holler if you feel that you've been down the same road

Yeah, it's been a ride…
I guess I had to go to that place to get to this one
Now some of you might still be in that place
If you're trying to get out, just follow me
,we'll get there together.

Hi Pinky. This is so wonderful. I know you don't know me, and may think it is weird, but I truly admire your openness and honestly. This post is fantastic, and so sweet how you care for others, while expressing yourself through your beautiful work. <3 A
