~More Imaginisce Fun, scrapping those old vacation pictures!~

Good morning my scrap-tastic friends!

I had a great day yesterday with a girlyfriend who
came over to scrap, and we ended up watching movies
while we scrapped, it was fun!

I made this layout, using the new Dino Roar from Imaginisce.
It's funny, I never knew I had so many dinosaur pictures
to scrap! I had forgotten I took so many in 2009
of the boys and our family on vacation in KY at the Dino Park.
I love that Imaginisce came up with this paper.
I also used my Ruby Rock It alphas on the title.
With some stickles on the FUN of course, because
every FUN needs some bling LOL
Can you believe how fast fall is approaching?
I am enjoying the lovely cool morning and cannot wait
to pull out my boots for my morning trips to school
and feeding the chickens!

By the way we are up to about 3 eggs a day now! WOOHOO!
I cannot wait for 8 eggs a day.
My boys are so spoiled, every morning I get up early
and cook them eggs for breakfast. They refuse to eat cold cereal,
so these chickens are heaven for them ! :)

Ok enough jabbering from me.
I am working on a Halloween project to share this week.
~Happy Tuesday y'all~

~Monday?? Already? New favorite technique & Giveaway too!~

Good morning, can you believe it is Monday already?
I feel like this weekend shot past me.

I did work on a few projects but most of them are for
my DT work and won't be revealed for a while.

In the mean time I wanted to share my new
favorite technique with y'all.
I made this card using my Cricut Expression,
the Cindy Loo cartridge, Glossy Accents *Ranger*, PK Glitz Glitter,
and paint. But not just any paint!
I have discovered old gummy paint LOL
It is awesome! You can do it my way...or shortcut it.
My way is to use half a bottle of acrylic paint
then leave it for 4 months until it gets gummy
OR you can pour new paint onto a plate, add some
waterbased glue to it (the standard school kind)
let it set for 20 minutes or 1 hour, until it gets gummy
then spread it on your project.
For the best results I use my fingers.
I play with it like plaster. It leave great dimension without
the ugly shine. It will also crack beautifully if you
use a heat gun on it.
What do you think? Fun right?

Ok on to the giveaway, I have sitting here from CHA
2 SIGNED Tim Holtz Embossing Folders!
Yea that's right....Woot Woot!

And as of today we are at 724 followers.
I would love to hit 750 this week, my goal is 1000 by
December for Christmas, I hope anyways.

Come on guys help me out here!
Leave a comment, spread the word! :)
Just a little secret, I am working on getting a
Cricut to giveaway at 1000 followers! So it's going to be BIG! :)
~Happy Monday!!!!!!!!!!~

Days like this make me really appreciate a great family
and even better friends in my life.
Tired of the pictures yet? :) Sorry I just had to share

touch butterflies, they love pink hair!

I am a lucky mom!
Anyways it was a wonderful day, one of those
days we will remember for a long time.
Hopefully one of those days my kids look back on and say
"Remember that mom?"

~Busy week & Happy Mail!~

Good afternoon!
First of all I apologize for being behind this week
I have been at school helping out and so busy!

I just had to share what came in the mail today!
I am in a swap and this rocks, thanks Kristin!
Not sure what it's for but I am going to find out.
I love the vintage goodies and what a fun surprise!
I had a crazy day when in Wendy's with a gf eating
this man came up and he was so loud and insistent.
He asked the next table what they thought of my hair, he
even asked me to stand up please in front of the restaurant to
wave to his wife.
It was pretty funny LOL
That was my wacky day!

I also went to Franklin, TN to buy fabric today
and I came away with a haul!

I am now ready to make Halloween dresses! WOOT!
I love making them for Halloween, I wait all year for these!
Anyways that was my day, how was yours??

~Happy Hump Day & Laminator Winner!

Good morning!
I am off to volunteer at the school today.
*my excuse for running late*

Thanks Pam who sent me this blog award.
Her note to me was so sweet!
Pam you made my day, thanks!
Pinky, though we don't know each other but through blogging. I have given you the Cherry on Top Award for your blog. I love coming to your site and seeing all the inspiration you have but more importantly on how open you are about your healing process of having such a difficult childhood. I too have been there and it is awesome when you finally get control and begin to heal and forgive, not forget but just forgive so you can be happy and carry on. Thank you. Pam.

But before I left I wanted to leave the name of the randomly drawn
winner of the Purple Cows LAMINATOR.

And the winner is....

~Paris Creativity Autograph Book + New Reveal!~

Morning, morning, morning!
It's been a while since I made a Paris Creativity
project, so I paired up UNIBIND & Paris Creativity
for this fun totally trendy autograph book!
When I think of Paris I definitely think of the stars!
I wonder if she collects autographs? If she
did I would SO send this to her! hahaha
I am in love with my Unibind!

Let's not forget my last layout with SFTIO September
kit *Enlightenment*
This page is about my trip to Hawaii and how it changed
my view onmyself, being plus sized and self acceptance.
I did not journal on it....yet, but I do intend to.
I don't know quite where to yet and what I want to say just yet.
But Hawaii truly did change my life!
It definitely kicked off my journey of happiness and
taking away all fear of moving away and pursuing
a family and true happiness.

That's it for me today.
The kids go back to school which means mommy starts
cleaning again, and getting back to life! LOL

~Thanks for popping by today~
~I really hope you had an amazing weekend!~

~Labor Day, First Unibind Book, Chicken Butts, & A New Reveal~

Good morning my crafty friends....
are you ready for a creative day??
First the crafty stuff then the chicken updates *wink*
I received my Unibind Photobook Creator last week
and could not wait to get started!! I had a couple of
others projects to finish first then I got right to work!

Now my ideas are not the traditional photobook ideas.
I love them but I wanted to get artsy and funky!
This is an art journal book I created for me and all my crafty
friends to play with! I am going to take it to crops
and with me everywhere, allowing my friends and family
to create pages in their own personal style.
It will be a wonderful memory for this time in my life
and something I can go back years from now and look
at, remembering all those amazing friends I have!
I started the first page with stamping and I am going to
write instructions inside for my "artist" friends to begin creating.
I used Jenni Bowlin, MOD PODGE, Tim Holtz, Basic Grey, Smooch Spritz,
Chatterbox, Hambly, even Ruby Rock It rub-ons! :)
So what do you think?? Ready to make your own
Art Journal?? Come on make one! Let me see it!
It's perfect for other scrapbookers!!!

I had to share a few pictures of my chickens
because this week they are finally old enough to be "free range"
we let them out now to hunt and peck, it's so cute!
Aren't their little chicken butts cute?!! hehehe
"psstt did you see that pink haired chick who keeps taking our pictures?"
hehehe the hens cackling.
This is the one who has taken over the "momma" roll
she calls them all back in and calls them when I come out
to feed them, it's SO cute and fun! I loves her!

Let's not forget it is SFTIO reveal week on Pinky's Blog!
Look at these amazing papers! This kit is STUNNING!
It feels so tropical/India/Morocco to me.
I just loved working with it! The layouts design
just flowed like hot chocolate syrup! :)
More of the "Enlightenment" journaling.
I have to say this kit got me thinking for sure!
It was thought provoking and pushed me to really study
my inner thoughts. I love that.

OK we are off to the movies today I think....depends on how
it goes with the kids :) We might have to stay home and do
yard work...now what fun is that?! LOL

~Happy Labor Day~
~Thanks for stopping by and saying hi~
~Love to hear from y'all!~

~Making Pop Art & Another Reveal + Winner!!~

Good morning! It is Sunday and we are headed to
the pool this afternoon with the boys, they are so excited!
It is our big stay-cation excursion.

I have been wanting to do a pop art card or
layout for a while now, and I finally sat down yesterday
and played with it a little.
My girlfriend is a coffee LOVER and it's her b-day
so this was perfect!
I used my Wall Decor Cricut Cartridge, my Imaginisce i-rock,
Core'dinations cardstock, Purple Cows trimmer, and my 450 adhesive.
First of all I cut 8 images. 1 in each color, then 1
layer in each color. Then I glued them down to a 4 piece
cardstock card.
It took me about an hour to get it perfect, but I am so
pleased with the results! It was fun and it's perfect
for her style and taste!

Now for one more reveal from the September
kit from SFTIO (Theme- Enlightenment)

Honestly when they sent me the kit I was blown away
it is amazing but when I knew I had to create using the
theme "Enlightenment" I was totally intimidated.
The first person that came to mind was Eminem
because for me, he speaks so much truth and dares to
speak on so many subjects that are 100% taboo,
for me personally, that is "enlightened".
So I took his album cover (of course I had one on hand LOL)
and I used that picture, then I used a Clear Scraps ATC card
I brushed it with my Staz-on INK pad and also stained the letters.
It was very strong graphically so I left it simple.

Actually this is one of my favorite layouts for this kit :)

OK on to the My Mind's Eye Halloween Paper Pack
WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!
