I am known for doing the tough Lo's.The heartfelt, the nitty gritty, the deep thought LO's.
But I can truly say this is the most difficult LO I have ever done.
I went to bed 2 nights now crying and begging God to please let me keep my children,
telling Him I could not bear what this family has endured and please give them strength.
I did not feel a release when I was done, I only felt sorrow and heartbreak.
I pray I did Ellie and their family justice.
I so admire Niki and her strength.

Very reverent lo. I will borrow it when we design our books for neo-natal hospice babies. The NICU nurses use the butterfly as a symbol to all hospital staff that this baby is not going to make it so that the family is not aproached the same way.

Cristal - you did an amazing job on this LO! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this for our group. I've been reduced to tears reading this post and seeing this LO. I too thank God every day for my kids and pray that nothing ever happens to them as well. Again, thank you for taking on the task of completing this LO - You Rock!

ReplyDeletePinky this is a BEAUTIFUL LO! I feel the same as you, as my granddaughter is the same age as Ellie and started Kindergarden this year also. Every day since Ellie was diagnoised I look at her and CANNOT IMAGINE how Niki and Pat could face each day and see their beautiful daughter go through what she did. I cried many nights and prayed for Ellie, Niki and Pat. Niki's faith and journaling has made me a stronger person and I know GOD will get them through this tough life without their angel.
