Good morning my friends!!!!

What a great way to start the weekend!

Last night we had a hand full of friends over and we just had the best night.

Today we are headed to the baseball field for a scrimmage.

In the mean time I wanted to share this new Send It Clear Clear Scraps

card which I created with the Kanban products. This was such a fun card

to make. I embossed it in my Sizzix then I inked it.

I added the cool copper glitter Kanban acetate on the "doors" LOL

In the photos the colors don'e mesh as well as in person, in person

it is the perfect combo of copper and gold.

You have to try these cards!!!

Thursday night hubby "pinked" me LOL He refreshed my

fading do....I love it! :)

And I just had to share this very candid shot of a bunch

of friends visiting. I LOVE that James is sitting down loving

on the baby, and you see Melissa laughing, and the other

girls just chatting away. It was a fun (all be a chaotic) night LOL

Good friends, good family fun.

The kids all went outside to play with flashlights in the dark, you know

it reminded me of when I was a little girl playing outside.

Today we head to the fields and play catch up...

Good morning my wonderful and amazing crafty friends,

I have a project to share today with more new releases from

Clear Scraps! :) The mini expressions LOVE, HOPE & FAITH.

I LOVE them!!!! I coated them in Glitter Glass by Viva Decor

(just like the pearl pens) and added some pearl pen too.

I made it messy with my fingers because I wanted a stained glass ripple

effect. I love the end results! Then I used Kanban papers

behind the acrylic, and stamped the front.

Then a touch of grandma's vintage lace and that was it!

Alot of drying time but it was so worth it. When it comes back from CHA

I am hanging it in the middle of my living-room.

Ok not the middle but you get the idea.

My motto for the year is ALWAYS Love, KEEP Hope, ENDURING Faith.

Because life goes up and down but there is always a light at the end.

I had a perfectly lovely lunch with Hayley, Jennifer & Shauna

yesterday and we planned another get together with the kids.

Such a great time. We went to the quaintest restaurant called

Miller's Grocery in Christiana, TN. (They have a website).

It was food just like I cook at home! LOL It was really fun,

I wish all restaurants were like that.

We had the baby girls with us and we all had fun.

I think every senior citizen in the place stopped by and touched

the girls hands and hair, it was so cute. Must have took them 20

minutes to leave LOL If you ever get to TN stop by Miller's!

~Baby Boy Bib Overall Acrylic Album~

Good morning my friends,

This morning I have a fun new project to share, one of the new Clear

Scraps 2012 release designs. A Baby Boy Overall Bib Album! :)

It is so cute and a perfect pair for the Momenta papers I used.

I really enjoyed making the little pockets and cuffs for the cover.

I also added some glitz and glam.

You can see the pages are clear, so I added the Viva Decor Pearl Pen

around the outline to make it pop.

It has room for at least 8-20 photos depending on size.

Sure makes me want to do more albums!

And for the back I added a pocket, then slipped a little

rattle inside just like a little boy would do. :)

Isn't this a fun album?

~Imagine Your Art~

Good morning my friends....

I am excited to share this funky artsy project today.

It is the scalloped 8X8 cast acrylic album from Clear Scraps

BUT here is the new part...see the word IMAGINE?

Brand new release! :)

For this mini album I used 4 alcohol ink colors, then

I hand cut a heart from paper and stamped inside the heart.

Then I placed a gold sheet of cardstock behind.

and for the "Imagine" I sprayed it down with PYMII and glittered it,

on the BACK side! :) So it would be nice and glossy on the front.

I am really tickled with it. I cannot wait to fill it with my artsy

pages. I think this album will be my vintage album with my personal pages.

So my friends, how is your week looking?

We are in the middle of prepping for baseball season, hubs took on

coaching this year and we are hammering out the sponsors.

Such a great experience already with so many friends coming together

to help. Then on Wednesday I have girl's day out! :) We are headed for lunch.

And in 2 weeks hubs and I celebrate our anniversary.

Today I am off to create for an upcoming acrylic class...

~More Card Making Fun- Fleur-D-Lis- Football Fans!~

Good morning my friends,

What a wonderful weekend.

Now that all of my CHA projects are finished, I am back

to sharing the new releases and this one is PERFECT for football

and LSU fans...I wanted to make a football card but

who would I send it to?LOL So I made this....

This is a new Clearly Accent Embellishment design from Clear Scraps

(Fleur-D-Lis) paired with my favorite crafty company Kanban!

I love the sentiment, it's going straight to my girlyfriend! :)

I used alcohol ink on the clear accents, then I adhered them to

the GOLD mirror finish Kanban paper, then I added Stickles

all around the edges. It turned out just how I envisioned it!

Now I am off to take the little men to the barber today,

poor Justice is growing a shag LOL :)

~Crazy Fun Saturday Full Of Crafting!~

Good morning!!!!!

Saturday....oh Saturday...what did I spend Saturday doing you ask??

Well let me tell ya! haha

My friend Jennifer, who is an amazingly OCD organizational

guru came over and I made her 26 (yes 26) Teacup Bridal Invitations!

Aren't they adorable??!! :)

I used a Cricut cartridge and the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden collection

, I added my own vintage lace, and Momenta gold paper.

I also added pearls...and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

Jenn knew what she wanted, I just kind of spruced them up

in my own way. I actually had so much fun making them.

Anyways while I handmade these cards, her little cutie pie

son played with my boys and SHE cleaned my craft room!! :)

Actually she helped me get on the way to organization land!

I just need to add shelves and curtain rods for my punches.

It was by far the best trade EVER! LOL Also my friend Melissa

came over and helped and we had a wonderful visit all day.

Aren't these teacup invites tooooooo toooo cute??! Oh I love them!

I made a couple mistakes and the ones I messed up

I used a flower to cover. I wish I had 26 Prima flowers

but I did not so the pearls worked :)

After Jenn left we headed to our friends and had a lively game of

Spades and some awesome White Russians...it was so much fun

I swear the moon must have been full last night, we laughed and

we all just crazy, it has been that kind of week I tell you what! LOL

I spent one day sick in bed, everyone had sick kids, my teenager missed his bus.

It was time for some fun with friends. Made the whole week worth it!

Plus I got to catch up on Sons Of Anarchy on my sick day...

Good morning my friends,

Hope y'all enjoyed the blog hop!

What a busy week this week. I shipped my last CHA projects

off, and squeezed in some girl time, plus a dinner with friends.

I also squeezed in this layout. Don't ya love cell phone pics on the fly?! LOL

It's such a blessing living in a place where we have such wonderful

family friends. This year my word of the year is AWARE.

This year I will focus on the health and well being of my family and

how it relates to my friendships. Really seeing the big picture.

My kids are so happy to have other "family" friends.

And it's so nice to be in a place where we can relax and hang out

as families. I am very thankful for these opportunities.

We began a Bible study group in September and the kids are just loving

it and it has really created great healthy friendships for all of us.

Good morning my friends,

As you may know I LOVE sewing, in fact that is how I got into

crafting, I was sewing every day and paper crafting

seemed to be the next step. I was very excited when Clear Scraps sent

me these brand new Sewing Embellishments!!

I love the little sewing machine, how adorable is it??!

I used alcohol inks on it, then I sprinkled it with glitter.

You know if you sprinkle it while it's wet it acts like an adhesive.

So much going on this week....be sure to check back.

~Super FUN 2012 New Releases!!~

Ohhhhhhh good morning!

I am super excited this week because I finally get to

share projects I have been working on for months now!

Well Clear Scraps anyways *wink* I have a couple other

companies coming soon too.

Anyways Clear Scraps has all new lines this year,

this is JUST ONE of the many new designs!!!!

This Mini Dragonfly album (I LOVE dragonflies!) that I embossed

and inked. I used Teal StazOn to ink it and coffee alcohol inks

to stain the rest.

I ran it through my embossing folders, then used Copper Stickles.

I also used Viva Decor Pearl pens in Bronze on some of the pages.

What I ended up doing was printing a poem about dragonflies onto

paper and trimming it to fit in the dragonfly. I am going to

give this as a pick me up mini book to a friend.

You can see on the wings above I heat embossed it and curled the wings.

And on this last one I stained it with alcohol inks then used the

pearl pen to dot along the wings. Really I just had fun with it and I love it.

Good morning my friends,

Happy Thursday! Can you believe we are deep into January already?

I am always eager to try new tools but this one sadly sat in my craft room for

like 3 months! LOL Can you believe it? My Stamp It From Purple Cows!!

I had wanted to use it but never found the right time, and it was so

fun I wish I had gotten it out earlier! I thought for Valentine's Day I

would make my girlfriends sassy little cards.

I used my Purple Cows Stamp It Tool for the stamping, and

the rest is Momenta card stock and Sassy Stickers!

The Stamp It is like a little stamping machine, it sticks your paper

into place with magnets, then it stamps around the edges and borders.

I LOVE how easy it is because I suck at stamping!!

AND I love these Sassy Stickers too! LOL

That's it for me today, we had an amazing Bunco last night,

new and old friends and so much laughing,

we were up until 10:30 just chatting away. Next time I will

have to grab pictures....we were so busy I completely forgot.

~Kids Crafts-Laminating Fun~

Good morning my crafty friends....

I had a fun project this weekend with my boys, well my one boy LOL

He came to me Sunday and said "Mom I have a project due, we need to

go to the store and get poster board and go get it laminated and I need clovers too"

HUH?? LOL Really?? I just had oral surgery kid LOL

Thankfully I had my handy dandy laminator from Purple Cows,

And the extra long 20" laminating sheets, along with some sturdy cardstock.

I was tickled pink about it because it meant I could stay home.

I grabbed my Purple Cows Laminator, Purple Cows trimmer,

green cardstock, laminating sheets, crayons and markers

and let him go crazy.

Pretty cute right???! :)

Anyways it was a lifesaver, totally handy to have one on hand

especially if you are a teacher or have kids.

~Weekend Recovery & New 2012 Page!!~

Good morning my amazingly talented friends!!

What a weekend for Miss Pinky...let me tell you what...BUT first

I have a layout to share....and guess what???

It is the FIRST layout from the new January kit on Tally!

No one has this kit yet, I snuck enough out for me to play.

It will be ready in 2 days!! :) WOOT! I love this kit, it's all about

preserving those memories in style...it is called

"Memories In Style" and it has the new Canvas Corp papers

plus some Tim Holtz goodies and so much more.

I love ringing in a new year and starting fresh, with fresh open eyes

looking back on all the lessons from the year before.

2011 was good but 2012 will be amazing!!!

My boys are forming great friendships, we are getting back into church,

so many blessing have come our way already, even through the hard times.

Soooo....2012 HERE I COME! Now stay tuned for the kit too! :)

Ok on to this weekend....

Last week I was not feeling very well, did not know why but I felt so sick,

Thursday my jaw started hurting and by Thursday night I was in so much

pain I cried for about 10 hours, it was just awful....Friday hubby took the day

off and we went in, they sent us to the dentist who sent us to have emergency

root canal....it took 5 hours. I was so worn out. Thankfully my gf

Lesley was so sweet and took my little men, while I was away.

It was quite an experience, last time I was at the dentist I went to the

ER in an ambulance so I am not a dental friendly woman LOL

Anyways on Saturday I was still hopped up on drugs and feeling oozy but

how could I miss an opportunity to head out to BINGO with my friends

Lindy, Hayley, and Jennifer. Remember I told ya'll about Lindy from

the Cancer video. Anyways I made myself perty and headed out.

Now mind you I have NEVER played Bingo before.

I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I found myself a shiny pink

dauber and I had a ball with the girls! :)

I came home at midnight because it was in Kentucky and we

went out afterwards, it was a blast, cannot wait to do it again.

It really made up for my awful weekend! :)

Then to top it off I found this Ice Cream and I have been looking

for months!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!! :) Cannot wait to try it.

I have to wait because my mouth is still killing me.

Ok ok enough life chitty chat right? LOL

Wednesday is the BLOG HOP from Samantha Walker...I am super excited

~Moments Like This~

Good morning my friends,

It has been such a crazy couple of months, with the kids back to

school I almost feel back to normal!

I was able to sit down and make some CHA projects yesterday

plus this week I have been working on non-traditional digital layouts

as well. You know I love paper & glue but I also LOVE digi.

I was so grateful for my husband this last month, he really is my best friend

and my rock in life. I was reflecting on the last year and realized how he

has totally given me the strength and freedom to expect respect and

a love equal to mine in my life, and that's a huge gift for sure.

He stands by me through every single moment with my family.

It inspired me to create this layout because every moment with him

is a special moment and a gift for sure. I used the Samantha Walker

Honey Golden Sunlight Paper Pack & Orchard Harvest Word Tags

To match up the word tag I just used my toner in

Photoshop to match the colors to the paper.

I know not all my friends are digi scrappers, don't worry I will still post

MANY paper projects, I am versatile LOL

~Spring? Not Quite Yet!~

Good morning my crafty friends,

BRRR it is cold here! I am not ready for spring just yet, I do

love my winter months but I am still working on fun spring projects~

I took this oval shaped 1.00 from from Michaels and covered it in

spring papers and added a die cut. I think it will look too cute in the

kitchen when spring arrives....:)

If I get a good snow I will be ready to bring on spring LOL

But just one snow first please!!! hehe

Ok off to my craft room, today is the FIRST day back to school

since a week before Christmas, I plan on burying myself in my

craft room for a solid 5 hours! :)

~Acrylic Frame + Family Update~

Good morning my friends,

I am working this week on CHA projects and cannot wait to share

CHA news with you all!

Yesterday we took my oldest son in and they are going to

do yet another surgery, but not for 1 year, so we set him up

with new meds for now. They want him to grow before doing such a painful

procedure. Today we head to the Neurologist for my youngest,

if you would keep us in your prayers this week, it would be appreciated.

This is a trifold Clear Scraps frame I made this week,

I spritzed the frame with Clearsnap Smooch Spritz, then I

dusted ultra fine glitter (Clearsnap also) over it and heat embossed it.

All the papers and embellishments were from Kanban.

I honestly have not decided if I love it or hate it yet?! LOL

I actually like it but I wish I had used pink glitter instead of silver.

Maybe it will grow on me. LOL

Hey I am not going to lie to y'all! haha

Ok off to my sweet babies appointment today....

then tomorrow school starts again and I dive in head first to crafting!

~♡♡Day 2 Of 2012♡♡~

Happy New Year my friends!!!

I do have crafts to share but real quick....

I had to sneak in a couple photos today of our New Year's Eve.

We took the boys tot he park and they took turns pushing my wheelchair.

It was so cute and fun! :)

We had a lovely New Year, the entire family including hubs had a ball.

After the park and baking some home made bread & lasagna,

we grabbed the food and went to a friend's house for a few drinks and

some games. I LOVE and miss playing cards so this was a rare treat~
Here we are almost midnight, in fact we missed the New Year by 1 minute

because we were so busy laughing and playing LOL

And here are the men being manly with my Hello Kitty Cards! hahaha

The boys got to play outside with bottle rockets, and only one tiny burn

so not too bad, then they played games. The little ones slept peacefully.

It was a fun night and one I won't soon forget! Great to ring in the New Year

with the families side by side! Love that~

Next year I might actually remember my camera instead of

just using my cell phone. LOL

Here is a card I actually crafted on New Years Eve, my father

in laws birthday is coming u this week and I had to make one for him.

I used a sheet of Clear Scraps and Kanban of course...I love how Kanban

has male and female goodies, so I can grab it for any occasion.

After their visit I found it fitting....

I better get this in the mail before out marathon week of Dr. apps.

We have 2 surgeries coming up this month for the boys and

countless Dr. appointments, so wish me luck!

~Just Have Fun With It~

Good morning my friends and Happy New Year!

I was scrapping a little bit yesterday, going over photos

and friends, trying to decide what to post, then it hit me.

Just go out with a bang girl! Have fun......

I decided my last day of 2011 I would go digital.

Just have fun and be silly....I am so very blessed with an AMAZING

family, incredible true friendships, and so much more.

Yes I struggle like everyone else sometimes it gets pretty hard.

BUT overall I have peace in my heart and I know I am on the right path.

I am excited about the fresh changes ahead in 2012 and ready

for this year to be a new adventure!

Thanks to my sweet wonderful boys and hubby who are unconditionally

in my life, and all the sweet families that surround me.

Plus all my amazing supportive crafty nation of friends,

I love you all and wish you all a VERY Happy 2012! MUAH!

~Hiding In My Craft Room Playing With Paper~

Good morning my crafty-licious friends~

I have been having fun hiding away in my craft room this week.

I am still working on CHA projects and a couple extra projects.

I am working on new releases from Clear Scraps, and a page for a friend.

While I was waiting for the pictures from Lindy, I scrapped this page.

I am trying to make a few "friends" pages. I found this paper from

Momenta and knew I had to make this page right away.

I love the printed quotes paper how it says

"Circle Of Friends" & "Always There" I decided to use

that as the title instead of adding my own.

I have been making ALOT of 8X8 pages lately, I guess I need to grab

an 8X8 album soon! haha You know I never think about the size of my pages

I just grab whatever and start working on them.

Do you have a page size preference?

And why?

I am finding myself moving away from 12X12 more and more

and doing alot of 8X8, 8.5X11, but then again I do slip in

the occasional 12X12. Since crafting is a pleasure thing

for me, I tend to be very waffly and craft on a whim. LOL

Good morning my friends,

I told y'all I have been crafting this week and one of my projects

is for a friend of mine (Lindy), who is an amazing inspiration to me,

as is her daughter who has helped her mom from the first day.

I have only known her about a year but she has really touched my life.

When Lindy asked me to make a page for her sister in law of course I said YES.

Lindy is a Cancer survivor and she is full of life.

I am always amazed by the people I meet. Those who show you what

is really important in life and just how much surviving really means.

I think that must be our common bond: survival.

She was featured in the Martina McBride video, you can read her

amazing story here: Lindy's Story

It's always hard to figure out what to do on a page you make for someone else

but I had an idea of exactly what I wanted to do for this special page.

Lindy is full is spunk and amazing love...I wanted to make it a heartfelt page

full of bling and pearls. The pocket is filled with photos and newspaper

clippings, there were so many I wanted a nice place to put them

without making 6 or 7 actual pages so I came up with the pocket.

As I approach 40 I am meeting the most amazing people.

This was another way crafting has helped me to reach out

to people who really make a difference in this world~

For this project I used:

Clear Scraps 12X12 acrylic sheet, KanBan Crafts, Beacon 3N1, Viva Decor Pearl Pens,

Momenta alphas, Clearsnap Smooch Spritz on the alphas, vintage lace, stickles.

~Highlights Of 2011~

Good morning my sweet crafty friends,

Man has 2011 flown by or what?

I decided this week to make tribute or collage pages to the best

of 2011 times we had. I definitely think the highlights of our 2011

were all the amazing families we were able to spend time with.

All of the sweet faces of the children we spent time with, and

all the amazing parents we met. This has been a very blessed year

as far as meeting good down to earth country people who value

our family as much as we value theirs. So I thought I would take several of the

snapshots I took and collage them on layouts.

This is just the first one, I printed them in 1.5X1.5 size

and looking at it now I realize I doubled up on my sweet Gage LOL

Anyways, after I am done I will have a few pages so the

kids can look back (and of course mom and dad) like a yearbook for 2011.

They can see the faces as they grow through the years and show their

children too. For this page I used Momenta and Clear Scraps products

Oh and the Twinery twine too! (Love that stuff).

I might just make an entire book of faces, including adults and

then put 2011 on the cover....Oh the ideas are rolling now!

Good morning my crafty friends!

I hope your Christmas was wonderful.

Ours was simple but one of the best holidays we have had

in Tennessee. Wonderful family and friend time.

We delivered our annual plates of goodies, and Hayley gave us some Rum Cake

(I had never had rum cake before). Then we had pop in company

on Christmas Eve, and our friends came over for karaoke on

Christmas Day. It was so nice to relax and spend time with everyone.

I have been sneaking into my craft room all week and trying to

sneak in projects one by one. This is a requested Cake Prop I made.

The last cake I made was one layer, but after it was shown on

my blog I had a request for a 2 layer cake, so I made one! :)

I just realized I photographed this cake backwards LOL

I grabbed myself a #1 from the store and coated it in glitter,

then snapped pictures before shipping it off. LOL

These photo props are so much fun!

Oh and this is 100% Momenta too. I wanted to put a bunch of flowers

all around but ran out of time, I think the next paper cake

will be covered in flowers. Does anyone want to come make 40 for me? hahaha

Good morning my friends....

I did get to sit down this week and play with paper.

In between the boys and baking, I cannot believe how grown up my boys are!

They have all made their own lunches all week.

Ok on to my projects....this is one of my sweet friend's daughter.

All Momenta of course :)

I just adore her and in fact she might look familiar...

in a few months you might see her face in a store near you!

I will keep you updated. :)

I am trying to finish off all these "friend" pages for my friends before

the New Year, I have several done and I am excited to put hanging

ribbons on them for everyone!

Just a quick personal update: My son's Dr. app was rescheduled suddenly.

They called at 8am and rescheduled it. I will keep ya'll updated.

I wanted to thank those of you who sent me cards and email of support,

I really appreciate the uplifting prayers and support, it is much needed.

I am very blessed with phenomenal people in my life.

Thanks especially for the extra calls this week.♡♡

~Hot Chocolate Friends~

Good morning my crafty friends,

I was able to sit down this week and play a little

bit with the beautiful KanBan Crafts.

It's no secret I love my Hot Cocoa and Butterscotch Schnapps

and when I saw this Hot Chocolate Friends label, I nearly fell over! LOL

I knew exactly who it as for right away!

I have some amazing "hot chocolate" friends LOL :)

I layered the cup on top, it looks like layered die cuts.

I just love how easy Kanban is! :)

Ok I am off to spend these last few hours with the boys before

the whirlwind of Gage's Dr. app. comes on and everything

else falls in my lap LOL Oh the holiday season...

~Clearsnap Fun Project (Mini Tutorial)~

Good morning my friends,

I have been playing with the fun Clearsnap products lately and

oh I am in LOVE! :) I have always liked their glitters and sprays

but had no idea about their Sparkle fibers!

I am totally in love with them!

For this little border strip I used Beacon Fabri-Tac and ran it on the

edges of a 2 1/4X6 sheet of paper, then I sprinkled on the Sparkle Fiber.

After that I took a slightly smaller strip and applied the

Clearsnap Design Adhesive, then I sprinkled glitter on.

It was so easy, I did a project last year with the Design Adhesives

on GLASS and it was so cool!

After that I just layered the 2 strips together, hand cut out the

ornaments, then added some bling and I was done! :)

Can you believe I made all these cards this year and have not sent

out even one Christmas card this year? I am such a slacker LOL

Between the in laws coming for 2 weeks, kids being sick, hubs being sick,

CHA projects...I am completely out of time LOL

Oh well, such is life...maybe I need to send out New Years cards! :) hahaha

playing in my craft room and possibly begging my friends to bring

their kids over for some play time.

~2 Hot Chicks, Christmas Slow Down~

Good morning my friends,

Boy the holidays surely do take a toll on a body don't they?

Yesterday mine finally gave out on me, my back had enough

and stopped me in my tracks. I think I will have to take it easy

this week and just stay home and craft.

Usually I can get around real well at home but this weekend

I couldn't even do that. So crafty room, here I come!!! haha :)

I know you are looking at this layout thinking

"PINKY what in the world? SPRING? Just let me get past Christmas!!!" LOL

I know I know-you hardly get past Halloween and the Christmas

decor comes out and do you know Old Navy put their swimsuit line

in the online store yesterday??

But we crafty designers always work at least 1-2 season ahead

so you all know what to look forward to in the upcoming months~

Thankfully I always have reserve spring photos on hand,

and these little chicks are pretty much my favorite thing to

scrap besides my boys of course!

These my last few Imaginisce projects to share it is the end of my term.

Good morning my crafty friends....

We had a great time last night at the Hobbs home.

We threw a little shindig.

Since we live out in the country and are not really the "cool" kids in town

(not the social-elite or anything) we usually try to have our own little

country Christmas party around this time of year.

We did not think we would be able to have one this year with the

company coming for Thanksgiving and all but we managed to throw

one with a little help from the local families! :)

We did a kids mini party in the back rooms and an adult party

in the front rooms, it was so cute too!

All the moms dressed up and the kids running around. :)

Above are 2 beautiful friends of mine and below my friend

Melissa in her new scarf and festive hat, so cute! :)

We finally finished the house, and had it ready to go

after a day of baking sugar cookies and pies.

Poor Jennifer I caught her in mid chat (sorry Jen) LOL

Everyone had a nice visit until around midnight......

And of course a little White Elephant gift exchange.

Oh and here is Payton...she wanted to go see the birds, and she knew

just who to ask LOL "OH Andrew...." hehehe

Of course he caved and took her in. Her mom said that Andrew would

let her burn down the house and not say a word LOL I think

she is right, he has a soft spot for that child. He always wanted a girl.

Isn't her little outfit to die for?! I love it!!

It was a nice evening, just food, kids, friends, and fun chatter.

I think everyone took a slice of pie or dozen cookies home.

We had 2 friends missing which was sad, but besides that it was fun.

It was nice to see everyone so happy and enjoying the company.

I think it's nice to just enjoy each other sometimes....the only thing

we needed to add was a bonfire! haha

Oh wait, there is still New Years!!!!

Good morning my crafty friends,

I know I know I forgot to pick a winner on Wednesday, so sorry.

I think I mentioned a couple weeks ago that we were going to have

not one but 2 photo shoots done. We are so blessed because hubby

works at a press shop and they do this for FREE, I mean hello! :)

Anyways in typical Hobbs style I requested a very goofy picture

because I really feel this captures our family so much better than

a stiff photograph.

And here is one of our nice shots....I have many more to go through to

decide which ones will be printed.

I teased my in laws and told them that I would have our photos

done with Toby Keith holding an American flag behind us.

Since it was all done on a green screen, I might just do that in 8X10

and send it ahead of the "real" photos! LOL Just for fun.

Anyways it was fun and I wanted to share with y'all.

Clear Scraps & Pink Paislee, Not Just For Crafting Anymore! haha

Good morning and TWEET TWEET from the homestead this morning!

I have a funny story with photos to share today....

We have had one bird for the last few months now her name is Allie,

she is a sweet little thing but really crabby with me LOL

She loves hubby...anyways we decided she needed a friend since

the previous owners accidentally killed her friend Kate a couple years ago.

So off we go into Lascassas in the middle of the night in the rain

(hey that is how we get all our pets in the Hobbs home LOL)

And we picked up this little feller, I named him DUCKY because

well there are many reasons but one was the rain and

he was on Oregon street LOL

Isn't he a doll? I love him and he is supah sweet!

Anyways Allie hated Ducky for the first week, then romance

ensued and they became fast friends. Such fast friends in fact

that she began trying to nest all over my house...

Mainly in my hand made beautiful Pink Paislee Advent Calendar

I made 3 years ago...with paper I can no longer get LOL

A FAST call to hubby and we decided they needed their own next and

they needed to leave my advent calendar alone.

Now enters the Clear Scraps & Pink Paislee to save the day! LOL

The nesting box is completely wood and let's just say birds like to perch

and what comes naturally? POOP hehehe

As I was cleaning up the first nights droppings I had the brilliant idea

to cover the nesting box with a sheet of Clear Scraps acrylic!

ThenI could easily wipe the poo away and keep a tidy home.

So we measured and cut and as I was walking out of the room I saw this

Pink Paislee sheet of paper....as it so happens it practically matches

my dishes! LOL Then the ideas started rolling.

Hey if I had it my way

the entire box would be made from paper and acrylic, but we all know

that is not feasible. A girl can dream.

After an hour or so they were already getting everything ready

for their new little home.

It was adorable because Allie was afraid to check it out,

so she called Ducky over and he hesitantly pecked and scanned

the entire box and finally POP he slipped inside.

It was the cutest thing I have ever seen LOL Totally like me and my hubby.

Now they are super happy and I am happy too with the new crafty nest topper.

Aren't they super cute? Isn't the box just fabby?!! I love it!

I could not resist snapping pictures and sharing with y'all today!

Ducky has the yellow face and Allie has the grey face....

I think it will be interesting to see if they have little babies soon.

Even if they don't it's still adorable the way she attacks me as

I walk by LOL not really...

Christmas Joy All Around...Dear Santa....

Happy Tuesday my crafty friends,

I have come to a conclusion this week....I do NOT have

enough ribbon and need to seriously invest in a few dozen spools LOL

Every time I grab ribbon I don't have exactly what I need.

I made this card which I LOVE (Kanban) and I wanted copper ribbon,

so I grabbed this which is OK but I think it would have been better solid.

So I am thinking Santa needs to bring ribbon for Christmas LOL

Anyways just having fun today with my sick little man.

We took a quick trip to the Doc yesterday and he is sick yet again,

hopefully he will be able to return to school tomorrow.

In the mean time I am packing up and shipping out these December

kits I designed for Tally Scrapper, called Creative Winter~

I love the name and the kit is super rad too! It has canvas, mistable paper,

bronze American Crafts pen and so much more!

~More Christmas Card Fun??!!~

Good morning my friends....

boys Christmas just sneaks up on ya....so close and I have yet to

send out one card! LOL I did finish my shopping this weekend.

I have 2 more cards today. I actually have a pile of cards

but have not sent them out just yet.

This one is from Cosmo Cricket papers and I coated the snowflake

with Clearsnap Ultra Fine glitter (I love that stuff).

And this one I made my own stencil, then used Clearsnap Smooch Spritz

to create the background from creamy white Momenta cardstock.

It's very subtle but in person it's so rich.

On a side note I cannot wait to share brand new releases from CHA

Oh boy I have some fun ones coming up! Supah Rad! haha

~Christmas Gifts All Over The Place!~

Good morning and happy Sunday to you...

are y'all in Christmas gift making mode??

I know I still am. I do not have my cards done but I have made several

of these wall hangings for friends. This one is for the Shockey Family.

A local family (friends). Honestly I think I am going to make 10 more! LOL

I just began with the Clear Scraps acrylic base and moved on from there!

I used the new itop 2.0 from Imaginisce, and the Imaginisce Christmas papers.

A LOT of glitters....a BUNCH of Clearsnaps glitter, and Momenta alphas.

Oh the XXL brads I made, I just trimmed layers of ribbon and created them.

Now to find the time to give it to them LOL

Today we are off to a Christmas play, my son's friend from school is the lead.

Then off to other busy times for the holidays. It never ends from

November 24th to December 25th! LOL

This is from the December Cricut Magazine- I had a card and banner, and

in the midst of the hub bub of the holidays I am still plugging away

~More Hand Made Christmas Gifts~

Good morning my crafty friends!

Boy it is getting cold here at home and I am in a flurry for CHA

projects this week, but I also am taking a few minutes to create

more hand made gifts. This is a little wall hanger that I created

using a tiny hat box lid♡♡♡

It is almost completely make from Kanban Crafts goodness,

I really LOVE the Kanban style I have to say *loves*

I just covered the lid with the embossed papers, and

went crazy from there! :)

You can't see it very well but under the copper ribbon

if some gold mirror reflective paper from Kanban.

It was a fun project and I am sure someone in my life will enjoy it.

Last night we ran out and finished up the kids Christmas shopping,

as they get older it gets more expensive LOL

~Holiday Gift Giving Handmade~

Good morning my friends,

Thank you all for the sweet comments yesterday♡♡

Feels silly to miss an online existence but I did! LOL

Ok, I TRY and I do mean TRY to eek out a few holiday gifts

that I hand make every year, and this year I have decided to make

wall hangings along with a few other items.

I made this for a local family, who's last name is RICE,

and I used a Clear Scraps acrylic circle as the base.

Then I added Momenta paper and embellishments, and

Teresa Collins pearl strands.

Now their style is minimalistic with an eclectic edge so I went

with basic black/silver/cream colors. Cool tones.

Now let's hope the stormy weather moves away so I can

take photos of all the projects I am making this week!

I have 3 on my desk now waiting for my camera.

Also I need to photograph this FUN Christmas/WINTER Tally Scrapper kit...

wait until you see what I put together!!! WOOHOO I am excited about it.

Heeeeeyyyy!!!!!!!! Guess who is back my friends??! :)

So happy to be back on schedule and playing with my

friends online and with paper again!!

I created this Kanban Crafts card yesterday, just in the nick of time.

We actually spent the day in Nashville getting family portraits taken

and having a pizza party at hub's work. It was so lovely.

I was happy to get home and create a little before bed while the

kids and hubs were outside putting the Christmas lights up.

I will get photos later.

I think this week I will share photos of my projects PLUS photos

of the last 2 weeks. We took a trip to the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville

and had our FREE photo taken with Santa.

This was before we got in line (which was short) considering it was Black

Friday LOL Anyways in the front entrance they have a fireplace.

The boys were tickled to play in man's world for a while.

Here was our cute pass.

And the photo I snapped! (Better then the one they took LOL)

But the one they took I love of course and bought a package.

And of course the FREE carousel ride after.

With the adorable Polar Bear, oh and the carved bear he is

riding on.

This picture is the elusive and rare smiling teenager.

More photos to come and if you have boys (or girls) and have not

been to the Bass Pro Shop, I have to say, they really embody what

Christmas is all about, FREE crafts for the kids, a SUPER awesome rad staff,

FREE photo with Santa, and free activities.

I almost cried in the store, it was so amazing and the staff

was just so sweet and caring. It reminded me of the old

Woolworth's back in the day and where family's went to shop

and visit. We had a perfectly lovely time. Oh and they had hoodies for

10.00 Black Friday...BONUS for us LOL

~Almost Back From Vacation~

Good morning my friends,

I have so missed blogging and creating but since my company

arrived we have been in a whirlwind of traveling, visiting, and games.

I wanted to take a few minutes while they are out with the car

exploring local fare.....this is a picture of the boys waiting

to see grandma and grandpa at the airport.

Any minute now!

Here is the first night at our home, playing Scrabble LOL

The boys could not wait to get them into game mode.

Here we are at the local Discovery Center our second day,

we have not stopped since day one.

The boys got a kick out of this hand carved boat.

Even grumpy teenager had a chuckle.

I will share more pictures later this week.

I did sneak into my crafty room this week while the in laws

took the car and explored. I created a few goodies.

I used my Clear Scraps acrylic and made this special Christmas Card.

I embossed it then stickled it.

Today I take my oldest to the doc to find out if he needs a second

surgery on his nose or if we wait and see,

Friday we have a trip to Nashville to get our family photo taken

then off to some sweet TN BBQ, then Saturday at 5am

we all head to the airport to say goodbye.

It has been a whirlwind but a good visit and we re thinking next year

it will be a Christmas visit, so pencil me in to be away LOL

Good morning my crafty friends and happy holidays to you!

I stopped last week to make a project with my kids, these cute

turkey cards (or name tags) for the boys teachers.

The boys are always begging to play with my toys and I decide

with my new iTop 2.0 I would let them, so we wrapped twine

around the XL brads and made these Turkey cards!

It was not only simple but I think they are adorable!

And of course since they are showcasing the iTop 2.0 on the

Good morning my friends,

as you read this I am probably headed into town to pick up my

in laws for a lovely 2 week visit.

I will probably miss a few days in the next 2 weeks, so don't leave me! LOL

I wanted to share this card I made after I made my own stencils

using the Momenta Stencil maker. It was a fun little project.

I have a feeling I will be making a video tutorial this week for it! :)

Plus I have been DYING to use this stamp that has been in

my craft drawer for months, since I on it on Dawn's blog!

Oh and this was all made with Momenta and while I am sharing with you

~Holiday Cards & New Tool~

Good morning my friends...

well the count down begins for company arriving.

To be perfectly honest I will probably miss a few days of blogging.

My in laws are arriving shortly and staying until Dec. 3rd. I imagine

the entire first week will be pretty packed but I will update when I can!

I made these card using something special....

WAX!!! yea buddy WAX! haha

Have you seen the new tool the Sizzle & MELT tool from Purple Cows?

Well that is what I used for these cards.

These amazing cards are pre-made from Momenta (blank) and

I used the Sizzle tool to melt silver wax and emboss it onto

a Clear Scraps ATC Card.

Also all the snowflakes on the card are silver wax.

OHH OH and the edges on the card below, I painted it on with the melt tool!

The embossed silver cardstock is Momenta, and I stamped on it

using StazOn ink so it would not smear.

I really loved making these cards, it was a fun project to make

black Christmas cards, who says you can use black for Christmas?! LOL

Good morning!!!

We are in the countdown to Thanksgiving and to my in laws arriving.

My boys are so excited but we are also in DR. mode, 3 visits in one week,

~Video Tutorial For The Card That Made Me Mad!!~

Good morning my crafty friends,

Are you ever on a roll, I mean really cranking out the crafts

and very excited about it....then all of a sudden it all crashes LOL

I was that way last week, I was on a roll, I made a video tutorial,

I made a step by step photo tutorial for Imaginisce & Glue Arts...

I was rolling along with my alcohol inks and Clear Scraps,

then BOOM LOL

I went to put this card together and the ribbon went crazy!

(Here is the video for the snowflake)

I could not get my ribbon to set right for anything.

In the end it was too late, I had made the video and set it all up

so I just rolled with it and photographed it anyways.

Hey no one is perfect right? LOL The technique is fun and using the

Glue Arts Adhesive squares with glitter...well it rocks.

But don't look at the card! hahahaha

Good morning my friends!

I took a breather from crafting this weekend to play with the family

and friends. I do have crafty goodness to share and don't forget

the 17th I have the HOG THE BLOG and giveaway on Imaginisce,

and today I do have a project on Imaginisce partnered with Glue Arts

WITH a tutorial!! :)

but for today I just wanted to share pictures from this weekend! :)

I went to lunch with my girlfriends,

then off to a 31 purse party, we had a blast!!

Then Saturday night we headed for paint supplies and all day Sunday

we painted and cleaned the house. I painted the front and back door

a very wild pumpkin orange, and the dining-room wall a bright fun orange.

I have more plans for more paint but we just did a little for now.

The main reason is because this little dining room set is coming

on Tuesday! :) A counter height set, easier for me to get in and out of.

I think it will match nicely. The first set I picked out was colorful but

out of stock so this is the alternative, paint the kitchen and keep the

furniture natural. I am very excited.

And I also wanted to share the view from my porch, this was

a couple days ago at around 6:30am. Hubs called and said "Go outside!"

So I snapped pictures, it really was beautiful, I am so very blessed.

That was my weekend in a nutshell, nothing super crazy just my boring

little country life. No drama, nothing cool LOL

~Altering Goodness & Life News~

Good morning and happy weekend my friends!

Here is a little box I altered a couple week's ago to use up

some old crafty supplies. *YEA*

I love using up my scraps and feeling accomplished! :)

Oh by the way these little boxes are like .99 at Michaels! STEAL!!

Now on the home front had some good news yesterday,

we began our long journey for my son and set up his first

diagnostic appointments. It's a huge step and we are very

excited and I am so proud of my boy.

You know I am the face of a survivor,

I am the face of a child who was molested, I am

the face of a woman who was beaten/abused,

I am the face of a mother, I am the face

of a woman and a wife, and I am happy to embrace being

the face of a mother of a child with a disability if this is what

my path is and what God has in store for me.

I have always been open and shared my stories in life step by step

from pain/survival to healing, and I see this as a new journey

and opportunity to do the same. This won't be the last time you

hear about this journey, I hope you walk with me to the end.

~Clearly Christmas Fun~

Good morning!!

It is frigid this morning, boy I can feel winter peeking around the corner

and it puts me in the mood to scrap the Christmas photos from last year.

Imaginisce has a special post today called "Out Of Shape",

and I am one of the designers they asked to make a shaped project.

They are also giving away an irock package this week

so head over and comment! :)

For this page I used the XL Acrylic Shape from Clear Scraps,

then I added some Imaginisce goodies, then some Christmas

ribbons, and some shiny gold metallic cardstock from Kanban.

and of course the whole thing is held together by my Glue Arts

Extreme glue because it rocks my acrylic!

Oh and I found glitter glue at Michaels for 1.00 from Studio G,

now it tales a few more minutes to dry but I added it to the edges

and set it aside while I made dinner.

I actually feel like decorating for Christmas now! LOL

Today is the Samantha Walker Creative Team Monthly Blog Hop.

I was going to go with paper this month but when I found out

Samantha was giving away digi kits as the prize I decided to go with

I love the Harvest Moon Collection, and this soft simple layout is

completely made made with it. Isn't it funny how creating a digital

layout takes me just as long asa paper layout, maybe even longer?!

I almost did not blog today but then I remembered I needed to

remind all my digi scrappy friends (and all the rest) that tomorrow

I came across this card I had not posted yet! :)

If you have not tried the Purple Cows PIN IT yet, it's so fun.

See the pretty gold leaves on the Kanban Crafts card I created?

Those are from the Pin It. All the rest is Kanban, and the lace

is vintage from my stash spritzed with Smooch Spritz.

I nearly fainted when I found these quote die cuts from Kanban and they

were quotes from Coco Chanel!!!! *swoon* I am a big fan of fashion

and she really pioneered women's fashion, so it was cool to find.

Plus what gf would not like a card like this! :) Vintage and fun...loves it!

I also used my Glue Arts glue on this one....

have I pimped enough product yet?? LOL

If you wonder why I always post what the product is...it's not because

I am paid, because I am not...it is simply because I always get emails

asking what the products are so my friends can find them.

Now I try to just post what I use all the time. And if I like it

and trust it TRUST the product :) Then I will tell ya because

the rest of our boxes from when we moved so many years ago!

You know sometimes instead of giving a card I like to make a MINI album from Clear Scraps, put inspirational quotes or photos in it, and give it to a friend who is feeling down or has just had a loss. It is a special and heartfelt gift. For this one I used the Clear Scraps Mini Tab Album .

Can you see how I used the Unity stamp sentiment onthe next to last photo? Stamping in these albums is a perfect way to send inspiration.

Good morning and happy weekend my friends,

today I am headed to Mt. Juliet, Tn to drop off this banner

which happens to be my next class!

I wanted to do something classic for Christmas so I reached for

my red and green alcohol inks and started playing with

this adorable Clear Scraps banner (my favorite).

It is so hard to tell in person but it's like stained glass

when you see it real time.

And the letter just pop out.

I think I need some more light and some sunshine! LOL

It's so cold and cloudy this week.

On a more personal note, why I have been so distracted lately,

after much debate we decided to schedule an evaluation for my youngest. '

They pretty much told us he has Aspergers but we are going to try to get an

official diagnoses by the end of 2011.

I am not upset about it, or anything. I debated on even posting because everyone

has such crazy strong opinions. I have never let anything in my life define me ,

not being abused, or being in a wheelchair, nothing!

And this won't define him. It's not a bad thing,

it just means he has a very special soul....we all do! ♡♡♡

So now we begin a new journey with alot of love and

alot of support. Happy Friday everyone.

Good morning!

It is a very rainy Thursday and I am enjoying the day

inside for sure! haha..... I have been busy sewing this week and

I als took time to make a few crafty scrapbook items.

I made this card using my Cricut. I love the scalloped shape.

I also threw some vintage lace into the frame.

The red gemstones are from Imaginisce, the red studs.

One of my favorite goodies!

these custom toddler holiday dresses :)

They even match the mommy dresses I have been making!

Today I am sewing a silver mommy size.

Good morning!!!

Did you have a Happy Halloween??

Today I am posting the Glue Arts WINNER, but first I wanted

to share my craftiness yesterday....it's not what you think LOL

My boys are getting older and mom was sick this year, so they

opted for masks (the 2 older ones). Now normally I make everyone in

the family costumes, but this year I have been sick and just could not do it.

This is the mask Justice bought but his sheet was stark white.

He asked me if I could get a grey sheet with white but I could not find one

so I tol him I would SMOOCH him...Smooch Spritz that is LOL

I tool this silver Smooch Spritz and sprayed the top half of the

sheet to match the costume, it was a perfect match!

So many uses for Smooch Spritz! I love it, I think I might decorate

Christmas ribbon with it too. It was cute because Justice was so impressed.

You can see the matching spooky creases. The photos don't show how

perfect it is but we were running late and out of daylight.

This is my little Gage with his Luigi costume, I made this hat

2 years ago for Halloween when we were all Mario Brothers characters.

Here is the gang, my boys almost grown up! :)

Happy Halloween my friends!

I am excited to take the boys trick or treating tonight,

last year my son was sick so I stayed him and hubs took the other 2.

My older boys have grown into the "scary mask" phase but my

youngest is going to be Luigi, and I fixed his costume up.

You know fall always marks the beginning of giving season for me.

I thought I better get ready last week so I began making these

gift boxes and tags.

I like to have a few ready to go.

I used the Momenta papers and embellishments because they

felt like fall but not TOO fall, they still looked soft and elegant.

I love the colors too!

Fall also signifies the time I get my sewing machine out and make my

famous velvet santa dresses. This year I am also making them in

little girl sizes. I love throwing them on for the holidays, with a black belt

just under the bust, a black sweater and if it's too cold I also

throw on a sparkly t-shirt or a turtleneck.

This is just one I made this weekend for a custom order.

I have to add straps still today, and I have 3 more on my table.

One is PURPLE, one is SILVER, and the last one is red.

I wish my camera like red more LOL I will snap a shot of the

silver one for tomorrow's blog post. It is a lovely stretchy velvety fabric.

Everyone oohs and aahs over mine. I have one in blue and red.

Ok off to finish the last minute touches on the kids costumes and

finish off these dresses today!

~Old School Crafting- Popple Style~

Hey there crafty friends!

So who remembers the Popples??

A fun 80's cartoon and plush animal that folded into itself, so

cute and made a great baby.

Well my friend has a little 5 year old who's birthday was coming

up and every time I asked her what she wanted she said "A Popple".

I had planned on getting her Hello Kitty scrappy stuff but she wanted a

POPPLE by gah...LOL!

After hunting high and low on eBay and beyond we found one!

Used, but in excellent condition because they have not made them

since 2001 and they were just remakes of the 80's version.

Isn't she cute?

Now the next thing I needed to do was make a special Popple

card or tag....oh no...Cricut does not make a POPPLE cartridge

or an 80's cartoon cartridge either (they really should pssstt Cricut!)

So I printed up 4 of these images from the internet and spent

around 3 hours hand cutting this little Popple.

It's not perfect but I mean it was a for a 5 yr old...how judgmental

could she really be?? LOL Here is the finished card.

I don't think it's too bad for my first hand

cutting paper piecing experience! LOL

The Momenta papers were a perfect combo.

Little Gracie was happy and she brought me her Popple

and a bottle and I fed her baby for a half an hour. It was too cute.

I can't say I will be doing this again for a while....but if by some chance

a random 80's cartoon character is needed for a special little one,

he I won't deny them a special card LOL

I just had to share my crafty weekend, no fancy punches or Cricuts,

just this pink haired mom, a pair of scissors, and some glue! :)

~Round Robin Fun~

Hello Saturday, are you blog hopping today?? :)

A few weeks ago Tally Scrapper had a fun scrap activity called a

"Round Robin"

have you ever done one?? You start with a layout, and send it to one person

via email, they "copy" it with their own version and it goes down the chain.

Here is my end result. I went after Katie.

I have been dying to share this but it is all very hush hush until the end.

The papers and embellishments are from a Tally Swap we did,

my friend Dolores sent me this kit, she made it with odds and ends.

I fell in love with the kit, I love scrapbooking with reds and creams

but rarely purchase them? I don't know why LOL

Oh and this picture if my sweet hubby who spent almost every baseball

game holding his little buddy Payton. Hubs always wanted a little

girl, it was the one thing I was never able to give him.

I find these pictures so endearing.

Hey there!

Man- it is definitely feeling fall-ish here in TN, with the wind

and the orange leaves, and of course the ice cold evenings.

I love making layout, in fact it is my first love, of course I am always

making cards and altered art but just for me time I love to make

a layout about my life and how this ordinary country girl lives.

Fall always means the beginning of baking season in the Hobbs home,

which is another love of mine. I love baking everything from cookies,

to banana bread, and even fudge. The boys love it too, so why not scrap it?!

I had these mobile photos I took of the batch of Snickerdoodles I

made last week- and the new paper line from Samantha Walker

called Orchard Harvest, was just perfect for it.

I also used my Purple Cows Craft Geek Tool the PIN IT

it sure adds an elegant touch to your cards and pages, I have had

alot of fun with it, plus it pins anywhere on your page! Yea buddy!!

Plus I used the awesome Glue Glider Pro from Glue Arts

(you know if you go back 2 days I have a GIVEAWAY from them).

I am sure when the boys grow up they will always remember

mom's fall baking and how much food they ate all winter LOL.
