Clean And Simple Stamping With AA And CutCardStock

Good morning friends,
Today we head into Nashville and start some studies for my sweet boy.
As this is a high stress week I snuck away to my
craft room this week and created a CLEAN AND SIMPLE
Thankful card using some older Avocado Arts stamps I have.
I used my amazing CutCardStock papers and heat embossed the
stamps in gold to make it more vintage style I guess.
I just wanted to get away and create a little and this card
simply made me smile.
So today I will give thanks, and wish you a wonderful Wednesday~

**Prizes** Christmas Ornament Tutorial W/ Xyron & Maya Road

Good morning friends, welcome to the
Xyron & Maya Road Blog SWAP.
PLENTY of prizes to be had so be sure to hop along!
I have these handmade ornaments to share today using some
of my favorite products. They would make a wonderful gift- especially
for those of us on a tight budget.

Using CutCardStock and Spellbinders dies- cut and emboss 2 of each die for
every ONE ornament. (Want to make sure they are double sided!).
Run embossed die cut through  Xyron 3" Sticker Maker.
Press 2 of the dies together creating a double sided die cut.
Using Maya Road Chipboard Snowflakes- run them through the
Xyron 1.5" Create-A-Sticker rub well and peel.
Coat adhesive side with Fairydust Glitter.
Shake off excess.
Use Xyron 3/16 High Tack Adhesive Dots to adhere snowflakes to ornament.
Make sure to place snowflake on both sides! :)
Using embossing pad and gold embossing powder-
heat emboss sides of each ornament.
Allt he way around edges.
I also embossed the Maya Road Cord just to add some coordination.
And now I have beautiful and very detailed ornaments.
I hope you visit all the blogs and the Xyron blog for
more info on the prizes!
Have a great Tuesday friends!!!

about a possibly cold winter with snow.

We have 5 new babies in the house...
hoping to have them laying BY spring instead of getting them

It's going to be a busy and long week. I wish I could climb into
bed and wake up Friday! haha
Happy Fall friends, Have a wonderful Monday and be

See Beauty And Autism Through My Eyes

Yes you have a wonderful child full of talent and grace, they will go far and be amazing.
Probably class president, the most popular kid in school, breezing through with ease.
I see you looking at me like I am weird and I see you look at my child like he is a brat or spoiled.
I hear those comments you make, even if you make them sound nice. That's fine.
I am happy that you have such an amazing life and great kids, truly I am.
Maybe you could look at me and my child with less judgmental eyes if just for today.

You don't know what we deal with every day.
You don't see my child being made fun of every day,
struggle with being lonely and struggle with their lack of communication skills.
You see a child who screams or "melts down" but you don't see

the invisible pain and lack of ability to convey emotions and thoughts.
You don't think what it must be like to not be able to speak or get the
words to the tongue whenever you want. That is a blessing many take for granted.
And no, it's not because I am a bad parent and if I was more
like you than it would be fixed. No I am not spoiling my child and allowing him to act out.
It is because my amazing and beautiful child has Autism.

My child who is just as amazing as your child, only different.
My child who will change the world one day-
my child will one day find their voice and find their way.

It might not be the same way your child does everything,
it might not be quite as easy or quite as fancy,
we might not skate through with all the awards,
but it will be BEAUTIFUL and a journey worthwhile.
Sometimes the most beautiful butterfly is hidden in a
cocoon that no one notices until it spreads it's wings.
Sitting there silent in a darkened world waiting to fly.

Love more, judge less, respect our journey-
remember your looks and comments do hurt, even the strongest of us.

As I sit committed to holding the hand of my incredible child and
I see the pain they carry and bear every single day.
I will cheer on your child and respect your amazing parenting skills,
I will not feel "less than" or ashamed of my child or my life.
I will admire your children and your blessed situation, as we are ALL blessed.
I will stand proud and know in my heart that it takes ALL KINDS
to make the world go around. Not just the amazing so called "normal" people,
but the incredible emerging people who are different and think in other ways.

Today is my birthday and I thought that I would share my personal

feelings on how I am perceived and judged. Not with hate or anger
but with more of a sad and heavy heart today.

Have a beautiful day my friends.

Craft-astrophe Epic Fail Tale...Laugh Along

Good morning friends,
Wow Hump Day...it still feels like Monday.
Yesterday was full of epic fails and my crafting was no different!
I had to share with you all....
So you know when you are envisioning this fantastic project that is
amazing and wonderful and you can see the details
I mean it's just going to be wonderful....so you DIVE RIGHT IN.
Who cares if you haven't tried it before, who cares if you can't find
your favorite pair of scissors...you are going to rock this!
You will EMBOSS, GLITTER, STENCIL!
Use your heat gun, use every glitter in the house, use paint...this is GOING to happen.
You get in halfway and you start to doubt yourself....
oh no...what's happening?? Maybe if I add more paint!
Maybe it needs more glitter...no maybe it needs FLOWERS that don't match!

That it!!!
Then it's too late...you have invested and now it is EPIC.
Don't feel bad, don't feel alone...it happens to the best of us...
And to think...they call me a professional *Palm- Head*
So today I sit and giggle at my horrible day yesterday
that ended with a crazy craft experience.
From the DMV and the best license photo ever-(not even close)
to all vomit over the inside of my car door (even in the pockets) covering handmade cards.

Then my Craft-astrophe@!&^%$ LOL

Now I tried it with amazing products- the incredible Clear Scraps
and SEI and Beacon which is why I just have to laugh.

I encourage you to sit back and laugh WITH ME today,
dont't take your art so seriously, enjoy the amazing products, chuckle
along and remember- YOU ARE NOT ALONE! LOL

Happy Hump Day!!!
