Good morning my beautiful fellow crafters!
Welcome to the HELMAR BLOG HOP!
You know I am always bragging up Helmar Glue
but let me tell you why....
You know I don't talk about the products that don't work for me
but the Helmar 450 Quick dry Adhesive is by far my favorite from day 1!
They did not even know who I was when I began using it,
I had nothing to do with Helmar but I loved their glue so much
I went crazy!
On this project you can see I used
Paper, wood, paint,metal, and acrylic...
you know why I love 450? Because I could use it all over this project
not changing glues or worrying about stopping!
I used the 450 to glue the paper on, 450 to glue the metal on,
and 450 to glue the acrylic onto the back, and for the butterfly onto the
acrylic so it would appear to be floating!
SOOO...do you want to win a bottle of 450 Quick Dry??This bottle?? Well leave me a comment, if you have used Helmar tell me
why you love it! If you have not and have a question feel free to ask!
Don't forget there are giveaways all along this blog hop
and a HUGE giveaway at the last stop (which is next)
your next stop is the last stop HELMAR

Hope you felt inspired, hope you had fun with me today!
~Thanks for popping by I love y'all for being my friend~

Well, Pinky I have NOT used Helmar, but your post intrigued me. Take a look at this layout
ReplyDeletehttp://kmassman-scrapbooks-cards.blogspot.com/2010/03/hardware-store-challenge.html
It sounds like Helmar could have saved me some trouble! Thanks for the chance to win some of it!
Beautiful projects Pinky! I love the fact that you used only the Helmars glue for everything on your project! I would love to win some! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have not used it but I'm going to buy it. You have convinced me that I need to try it and when I do, I'm sure I'll be back to Thank you big time!!
ReplyDeleteBTW....That project rocks!!
ReplyDeleteI have never used it but I do have a question. I have a friend who started using the fabritac glue for her papercrafting. Does the helmar get stringy like the fabric tac? Like when I used her fabric tac when you stop squeezing and try to move the bottle away from the paper it strings(kind of like hot glue does?)
ReplyDeleteI haven't used it.. but would love to win it so I could try it........ *BJ* from the Cricut MB
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your project! Not only do I use the Graphic45 papers all the time I have now used the Helmar adhesives. I too love the Helmar 450 QD and I also love and use frequently the liquid scrap dots. Boy once it is glued, IT IS GLUED! Terrific product.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! Sandra
I haven't used it either...in fact I hadn't heard of it until you started using it and talking about it. Eager to try it now!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I was just looking for something yesterday to substitute for bookbinders glue - I bet this would work!

Pinky, I have not used Helmar glue. Actually, until now, I've never heard of it!! Sure sounds like you can use it on anything! Is it so?...can it be?...then I def need that!!!

I didn't know this glue existed but if it works on all those materials, I am going to try it!
ReplyDeletenow ... where can I buy it?

Hey Ladies, to answer a couple questions for ya.
ReplyDeleteHelmar where to buy?? On the side of the Helmar blog there is a few links to buy the glue, if you email me personally I will recommend a specific site that is the cheapest in shipping :) Recommended by several of my friends and they ship right away!!!!!!
Does the glue get stringy, well quite honestly Heather, a little bit BUT I find IF you take the bottle and wipe it slightly on the item you are gluing the string goes away. I mean you cannot "pour" it on, you have to wipe it on then there is not string.
Yes, it works on paper, metal and all surfaces I have found I love it. I even used it on a wooden pencil with a clay elephant on it for my son because he broke it.
ReplyDeleteLove your project!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a chance to try Helmar 450 but would sure like to.
This is GORGEOUS, Pinky! I am starting to dive into vintage altered art and am LOVING it.

Another great project idea & another fun product to try. There is nothing worse than creating a fun project only to have the glue not hold. It's nice to see that one glue can do it all. My list is growing of all these fun Helmar products to look for here in Ontario, Canada.
ReplyDeleteyou seem to love that glue Pinky! I will have to try it sometime. I'm always struggling with liquid adhesives!

ReplyDeleteHi Pinky, your work is beautiful. I have never tried that glue before. Would love to though.
ReplyDeleteRenee'
I love Helmar 450. This is one Helmar project I have used and love that it dries clear. I needed an adhesive that glue fast, but not too fast and one that dried clear and one that dried strong to hold two pieces of transparency together. Helmar 450 was the best I tried. It now proudly sits on my adhesive shelf right next to my desk. I would love a chance to win some more b/c I know I'll be running out of it.
ReplyDeletethat.is.GORGEOUS!!! you are so talented!!!!
ReplyDeleteSoooooooooooo cute! Love the vintage prettiness!
