~Let's celebrate my friends~

I think these handsome crazy men are the future crafters of America!
As you can see they each have a beautiful new pair of
FLAME rocking MANLY Fiskars Scissors!
Now I wanted to reflect a little bit today.
If you would have asked me a year ago if I liked Scrapbooking, I would have said NO
If you would have asked me if I was going to keep on scrapping, I would have said NO
I would have told you it was an expensive frustrating hobby for
people who never got to craft as children.
But then about 5 months later....I found my niche.
I found that for me, I use scrapping as a voice to share
my joy, my pain, my anger, my love, and my family.
And most of all I use my scrapbooking to spread the word about
being an abused child and an adult SURVIVOR
and how it is OK to share your story and share your life!
It does help and it helps others to open and heal.

Never in a million years did I think I would have friends and followers
in this industry but once again i was proven wrong and yesterday I hit 51 Followers of my humble LITTLE blog!!!!!

So in celebration I have a FUN RAK today!
So Celebrate with me....50! And the love continues!
These are KI Memories Stamps
and Soft Spots
Both super cute!
Just leave me a message about what Scrapping/crafting has done for you
How it has enriched your life and I will put your name in for this RAK!

Have a great day
~Pinky~

CONGRATS on your 51 followers!

I use scrapbooking as my downtime but also to look back on all the fun memories I want to cherish forever.

In my life, I feel like I have to be such a perfectionist at work and at home. Scrapbooking lets me be non-perfect. It let's me have fun, be messy, and do what I want without caring about everything being perfect. Which is damn good since I can't cut a straight line to save my life!
Love those flaming fiskars btw!

Hey gf! Congrats on hitting 51 followers! That is awesome!!!

Well for me, the biggest thing that scrapbooking has given me is friends. I have met sooo many awesome ladies through scrapbooking. It is so amazing how close we really become. We laugh, we cry, we goof off, we just always have such a good time. Getting to meet the few I have in person has just been so amazing! They each are beautiful women who I count as lifelong friends. Each and every one of them are the biggest blessing I could ever receive. Also, I think scrapbooking has made my life better all around. It has made me into a more confident individual. I am no longer shy and reserved. I like to socialize. I like to put myself out there. It, along with all the amazing friends, has given me the confidence that I have always lacked. I feel like I belong now. It is such a great feeling not to be alone. I just love it!

And the guys look so cute with their flame scissors! Too funny! Gotta scrap it!

Hugs,
Aymee

Congrats on all your followers. I truly admire you for what you do with your scrapping and how it has helped you overcome what you had to endure.

Scrapping is therapy for me. I love being creative and then see the end result. It has helped me to express my fealings and to remember to journal about what was happening in the pictures for future memories.

Congratulations!

I love those stickers!

Scrapping for me, for now... Is my creative outlet, if I do not do it once in a while... I feel like poop, I act like poop, and poop overcomes me. (LOL)
Which reminds me of the drawing that your son did once "Look mom I drew POOP!" Bahahah.

Anyway. I love scrapping because... I just do. Its awesome, it has... been there for me when I needed to talk, when I didn't have anyone to talk to. I like now that I am scrapping more about me and not worrying about others!
Thanks!

Congrats on 51 followers. You have an awesome blog though Pinky so you shouldn't be surprised.

I love scrapbooking, it's my hobby that I do for myself, although I end up making others happy along the way. That such a nice bonus.

Congrats on 51 followers!!! I love your blog, and your scrapping style.

Scrapbooking has allowed me to have a creative outlet, a social network, a way of celebrating life, and a chance to hold loved ones close even when I live far away. It's a hobby, it's a collection, it's an escape, a release, and a passion. It's an OBSESSION!! :)

Cristal thanks for the feedback on the the tutorial!! It was fun trying to put it all together!
As for what scrapbooking has done for me...well, it gives me a place and time for just me. So much of my day is spent giving to everyone else, and when I scrapbook it an outlet where I can just do me whether I'm down and out, happy and joyful, or crazy and wild... I just scrap me and how I feel.

Scrapbooking for me is certainly an outlet to be creative, to escape, and to relive those moments with my family and friends through their photos. And I love that I've created a website where people can connect with one another and share their passions.

HEY PinkEE! LOVE the blog! Followed you here from Fiskateer blog.
What has scrapbooking done for me? Saved me.
When I relocated to Tennessee 14 years ago, away from all family and friends- I was awash in depression. My Best friend from Iowa (on a vacation back) took me to a Creative Memories workshop- she had just begun doing scrapbooks. I had my first taste of creative expression, companionship and support. From then on, I had to find SOMEWAY to do that here in TN. From that moment on, I have sought out craft pals, and have surrounded myself with an amazing network of friends. Good bye depression hello happiness!

Scrapbooking has provided a connection with some people who have become my closest friends. It has given me an outlet to deal with stress and frustrations in my life, as well as a way to celebrate all that life offers to be happy about. It has given me something I can be proud of and something I can embrace. It has become a part of who I am.

Yay for you!

Whoo hoo congrats on your followers!

I love the pic of the boys with their scissors.

I like scrapping because it's a creative outlet and I can record silly moments like the ferrets playing with the laser pointer or my wedding. Really great since I can't paint, draw or do anything else really. Well I can cross-stitch but that follows a pattern I don't think I could draw my own design :D

Scrapping gives me something to do that I think I am good at. Plus, it connects me with my crafty aunts that live too far away, but I used to craft with every week.

Pinky congrats on the 51 followers. I follow your blog daily, I just don't always leave a post. I love your style of scrapbooking and your honest in your journaling. Keep up the great work.

I started scrapbooking 14 years ago as a way of recording my boys childhood. But in recent years it has become theraphy for me. I am such a worry wart and it helps me to forget thing even if it is for a short time.

It has also brought me to paper piecing. Which over the last few years I have been some what of a celebrity with the local girls always wanting to purchase my paper piecing. I am humble to know that people actually love my work and want it in their scrapbooks.

I recently started using my scrapbooking supplies for card making. Which I have been enjoying very much. Besides making my own cards now, I have been making and orangizing card challenge with my scrapping friends for the soldiers.

Scrapbooking is such a rewarding craft, you get to share history, your artwork, and you make wonderful wonderful friends along the way.

I have to thank my mom for always doing crafts with us girls. She instill the love of crafts in the hearts of her 4 girls.

Scrapbooking is my "Me" time. It helps me remember so much. I use to forget the "little things" that matter so much in life. Now when I scrap it is documented and the moment is set in my memory when I complete a page.

I am one of your followers. I might not comment on every entry, but I enjoy coming to your blog whenever you have an update. You always have something exciting to read. And your work is simply gorgeous!

Hit enter before I finished...lol. I know scrapbooking (at least for me) is a sort of therapy session. Sometimes I "hot" and bothered and get it all out on paper...most of the time it's how I express my gratitude and love for my life.

I can't see the photo of your boys w/ the scissors...will have to check back to see them. I just love your boys...

Like you...if you asked me a year ago, I would tell you I don't like scrapping. I am now staying home and needed something to keep me occupied...scrapping was it. I really can't tell you why the switch in my head told me to take up scrapping.

I did "mea"ning of names, w/ scriptures for my mom at Christmas. It meant the world to me and my mom when I gave it to her.

She and I had not really been on speaking terms the past couple years and by me giving this album to her, it helped close that gap.

She saw the love I put in the album....it was so worth it.

Cristal...I just so love your work and inspiration.
